One thing that actually helped me aquire Master Clicker today is setting up a completely different Profile for Firefox.
If you don't know how to do this, it's actually really easy to do so, and to switch back and forth between the two Profiles. I have one profile set for my general browsing, and another for just mass-clicking. First and foremost, you have to close any running instances of Firefox to make this work. Second, you have to enable the Profile Manager by going to Start > Run (Or hitting Windows Key + R on your keyboard), and typing in precisely: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" --profilemanager Including the quotes and the two hypens (--), then hit Run. A window like this should appear: Uncheck the box, "Don't ask at startup" if you want it to start every time you start Firefox. Create a new Profile, give it whatever name you want, then go back to the first page of this thread and download the necessary add-ons you need to mass-click. The new Profile will act as a brand new installation of Firefox, so it won't have any of your saved passwords, cache, history, and etc. I personally have installed Faviconize Tab (it's great, because you get 50 px wide tabs. Click here for a preview.), ImgLikeOpera, AdBlockPlus, TabCounter (the number next to the navigation buttons in the previous linked image.), and TabMixPlus. (These instructions are guaranteed to work on Windows XP. I cannot guarantee validity on If anyone has any questions, feel free to PM me on MY method only, and I'll try to get back to you with an answer. Sorry if this was answered, but I tried downgrading firefox on windows 7 and the berries and "pokemon codes" refuse to load their text, so I can't avoid loading pictures. Anyone else have this problem?

Thank you ShayDwight, that's much more clear than my post. x)
But actually, you can access the window much easily by typing just "firefox.exe -P" xD (So, Confusious, try ShayDwight's tip, your browsing should go much faster with a clean profile ) Arwen, how did you try blocking the images ? - If you use the addon (sorry i forgot the name), are you sure you entered the three filter rules given in the topic, and set them all to [4] ? - If you use Firefox's option not to load images, do you uncheck the "load images" box, or did you set gpxplus.net as an exception ? Because that second option seems not to work, it doesn't load the text instead. Unchecking "load images" for the time you're mas-clicking, then checking it again to get access to eggs and pc is the best solution. -------------------- |

I have firefox with snaplinks and an addon for closing multiple tabs, and it works great, but if i have more than 20-ish tabs open it makes firefox slow down so much, and lags my entire computer. T_T it overloads the CPU and i have to keep closing out of FF entirely to fix it, and im not getting much clicking done... any suggestions to fix this?

First of all, did you try everything already listed in this topic ?
Because i'll soon grow tired of repeating the very same thing over and over... ^^" Already given tips include, but are not limited to, upgrading/downgrading your firefox to find the most suited version for your computer, cleaning your profile, suppressing images, allowing 'pipe-lining' in the about:config page... Did you try everything ? -------------------- |

Oh, I forgot to add. It seems the latest update of MultiLinks are causing instability when more than 10 tabs are opened at once, causing severe lag. This has been confirmed by not only me, but by multiple friends as well.
One fix that I have found is getting the SnapLinks Plus addon from the MozDev Repository. http://snaplinks.mozdev.org/ Much faster and cleaner than MultiLinks IMO, and it comes with a Link Counter. That is, it counts how many links you hover over. I suggest to everyone to disable or uninstall MultiLinks completely, replacing it with SnapLinks Plus. -------------------- I am a Mass-Clicker. http://gpxplus.net/user/ShayDwight Be afraid. This is irrelevant to the current discussion, but thanks for the guide, it's great. I'm going to attempt master clicker with this, someday.

In that case, the new Multi-links may be why tab-cycling is lagging like an absolute bitch. Haha; I've been forever configuring my settings to no avail. Looks like I'll be spending my day off giving this thing a major rev-amp. Let me know if there's any other bugs/errors and I'll try and find ways around them. I'll also be adding all additional info to the first post - though it probably won't be fully organized until I get a chance to completely categorize things. ctrl+tab takes about two seconds to select to the next tab, and there's a bit of a delay before it'll let me click. Perhaps it's Java fucking up on me? It doesn't seem like much, but it's fucking FRUSTRATING when you're going through a few hundred tabs. I'm having the same issue. Right now, I'm looking for a way to fix it, but I'm having no luck. I reconfigured everything I could to speed up my net and computer - including a 50v overclock - but nothing's worked. @Arceus thrasher: I have a snapshot of the Manaphy egg with images off if you want it. Spoiler (click to show ) Cheers, mate. I'll add this to the front page very soon. EDIT: Ok, I've added most of what I needed to. If I've left anything out, please tell me and I'll see to the updates. Note: The links to Snap/multi-links should be automatically updated to their latest versions. The older versions of snaplinks are still available for download in the link I've provided if you're using an older version of FireFox. The new multi-links will work for FireFox 3.6; however, as pointed out, it's rather unstable, so you may be better off with snaplinks. Hi there, I'm having trouble, but i haven't read the entire guide... *shot*
Minor thing for profiles: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" --profilemanager <- doesn't work; you must replace it with: firefox.exe -ProfileManager <This for 7 Home Premium. Nice guide, AT! -------------------- |

Vista users need to take out the path and quotes and just type firefox.exe -P at least that's what I had to do anyway -------------------- |

I don't quite understand how to stay on the tab you are on when you click the "Open all in new windows" button, because it always brings me to the news tabs and I have to click back. Does anyone have any solutions?

They might mean this:
QUOTE Okay then. Another Question: If I want to use the 'Open All Pokémon in New Windows' option provided by GPXplus. how do I change my Firefox settings, so that when I press that, the page remains on the party page and not the last tab opened? type in about:config, search for browser.tabs.loadDivertedInBackground, and set it to true. -------------------- |

Okay, I'll try that. It says it will void my warranty, though. I don't see however it could do that, but I want to make sure it won't since I was looking to take in my computer for something that seems to be wrong with it.
Edit: Never mind. There is no way that would void my warranty, and it's easy to change anyway. This post has been edited by Vancyon: Feb 1 2010, 11:26 PM -------------------- |

This too if you're using 3.6. Don't worry about that warning that pops up. Just don't go messing with other things on the list unless you know what you're doing.
Heya people ! I upgraded to Firefox 3.6 yesterday, and found out it now opens new tabs next to the active one. For actual browsing it's a good thing, but here it's annoying, 'cuz you have to wait for each party to load, then click it, then move to the next one, instead of opening them all, then clicking them all. And you can't change that setting in the basic options, which sucks. I'm surprised they didn't make it customizable... :/ Anyway, i found that way around it, to disable the setting : QUOTE First type 'about:config' in the Firefox address bar. You'll get a warning that you're tinkering with Firefox's innards and you should be careful, but this isn't brain surgery, so don't be frightened. Click the 'I'll be careful, I promise' button, and you'll see a big list of all the browser settings that can be tweaked. Next, in the text box labeled 'Filter:', type 'tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent'; you should see just one entry below. In the column marked 'Value,' double-click on the word 'true' to change it to 'false.' You're done. XD And yes - one of the two options shown will work. |
