Omis, a land at war.
For ages the clans of the lands have battled, waging war against one another for one thing; The Staff of Asakis. This legendary staff is divided in parts among the people, but nobody knows where or who has these parts. When put together these parts, called Aiyu, form the Staff of Asakis and the user will be granted unimaginable power.
The people of this land are called Omians, beast-like creatures with animal features and the ability to transform into the creature they represent. Omians are born with a life-long partner, a reflection of their soul. The creature is somewhat of a shapeshifter until the child reaches maturity at age 18. It is called a Sotencu. Every now and then in every clan a child is born, a child representing the power of it's tribe. This child holds enormous power, beside being able to transform into it's clan shape. The clan leaders send this child to go and collect the other Aiyu, sometimes with the help of a friend or a bodguard. You are such a child and you enter the lands in your search for the Aiyu, though many dangers await you.

The lands are divided into separate tribes and villages. In the north, icy cliffs and snowstorms are only entered by the Kori; people with the features of creatures like polar bears, arctic foxes and wolves. The Kori depend on speed and stealth to pass through their lands, which will bring certain death to any other creature that enters it without a guide. Every clan member is send into the surrounding land at age 15 to prove their worth. The ones that return have passed their trial, the others... shall never return.
The Kori stand as one of the most ruthless and harsh of warriors. Their elements are ice, wind and water.

In the south the plains and deserts are roamed by the Fotia; humanoids resembling creatures like lions, cheetah's and other agile beasts.
The scorching land is a sandy grave for anybody that doesn't know of the few water pools and shady areas. The Fotia are fierce opponents, but are not one to enter battle first. Their elements are fire, earth and wind.

To the east a massive chain of mountains lead toward the Rayi people. The Rayi are a clan of climbers, having massive agility and strength to climb the mountains they call their home. The Rayi are peaceful, but will defend their home at all costs. They are also searching for the Aiyu, but not to control the lands. The Rayi obide the will of stone and earth.

To the west is a small island among rivers. This island is inhabited by the Gida, a relatively small clan of limber climbers and agile warriors. Their island is a thick, deadly jungle. The Gida are masters with poisonous weapons and some of their clan members can use poisonous attacks for their own. The Gida follow the will of nature and poisons.

The great rivers that run through and across almost all the other tribes are inhabited by the Mizu. These people have the ability to breathe underwater and live in the waters peacefully. They are good at defending and healing and are the best healers of all clans. They abide the will of water and ice.

In a hidden village below the ground are the Yami; burrowers and wielders of short, deadly weapons. The Yami are not very known, only by the Fotia and Kori people. The Yami have a very pale skin and cannot stand light very well, but are stealthy killers and assassins. They follow the will of shadows and darkness.

Finally the last village is inhabited by the Xaka. The Xaka are masters of the air. They are the only complete aerial clan in the lands. Their village is the first village; it floats amid the lands, high in the sky. Nobody knows why or how it does this. The Xaka consist of numerous creatures, but all can fly. They follow the way of lightning, light and wind.


Besides the clans that compete for the Aiyu there is a neutral party. The city of Omayu is a place used to rest and live in peace. Many Omians that do not want to fight in war or defend against other invading clans leave their clan to come live here. The town is used for meetings between the clan leaders and is a market for passing Omians, tired from their journeys.

The clans have waged war against eachother for ages, but how did it all start.
The Kori and Fotia were started by a brother and sister, Nari and Inori. Nari took place in the cold North and Inori in the warm South.
This went well for years, but eventually Nari found his sisters rule too soft. He commanded her to be stricted with her people and make them do a rite of passage too. Inori was a proud woman. She stated that they were siblings and he could not order her around like she was a subordinate.
Nari was enraged and attacked his sisters tribe, stating that If she would not be stricter on her people, he would.
A massive battle was fought and Inori defended her people at all cost. Eventually, she lost her life by her brothers hand.
Her brother, shocked by what he had done, pulled back to his own land. He died a few weeks later, filled with grief. Since then, the Fotia have hated the Kori for killing their "Mother". The Kori have blamed the Fotia for the death of their leader and have hated them eversince.

A few decades later a new clan was formed. The Xaka made the floating city of Iluminos their home and lived prosperous. A few years after that, they found out about the Yami. They went to visit the people under the ground.
At first they were shocked by the Yami's pale skin, dark eyes and dust covered clothes, but they were greeted kindly and invited into their home.
The Xaka clanleader was a vein man. He believed all creatures obeyed the will of Amateratsu, their Goddess of the Sun. When he found out the Yami obeyed the goddess of the moon and the night, Mani, he was confused. He tried to convert the Yami into obeying the will of Amateratsu and made a grave mistake; he insulted the Yami's way of life and their goddess.
Outraged, the Yami attacked the small group of Xaka that had come to visit. Few survived and returned home. The Yami have hated the Xaka for insulting them since then and the Xaka claim the invitation was a trap for their leader and their clanmembers.

After about another decade another clan was formed. This clan was the Rayi. The Rayi were the first agile climbers among the clans. They were limber, slender and often had sharp claws or extra strength to climb. It was only a matter of time before a clan would approach them.
The Kori were the clan that approached them first.
The Kori felt a connection with the Rayi, as they were also a clan that faced great, dangerous cliffs and icy weather.
The leader at that time was named Dirach. He was a young, but also strict and good leader. He and a small party of 4 went to visit the Rayi. They were impressed by the flexibility and limber movements the clan members were able to make.
The Rayi greeted them wary, but kindly. They took them to their clan leader, a woman named Hirya. The woman was proud and kind, she was a mother and successful clan leader and a bit older than Dirach too.
Dirach offered her an alliance between the Rayi and the Kori, with one condition; they were to take over some Kori traditions, like the rite of passage.
Hirya was disgusted by the idea of killing young children by sending them out into the cold, but hid her emotions wel. She kindly rejected the offer.
Dirach was dumbfounded. Never had the Kori suggested an alliance with another clan and now his offer was rejected. He left furiously and swore to take the Rayi and the mountain as his own one day. The Rayi continue to fend off any Kori that try to take over their land, having an advantage on their mountain and cliffs.
They also formed an alliance with the Xaka later and often gain their support when under attack.

A couple of years had passed since the Rayi took their place on the mountain. The last clan was formed; the Gida.
These poisonous warriors brutally took a small island in the East for their own, chasing off anybody they didn't want near it. They liked the thick, jungle-like bushes and damp climate immensely and build their clan in the center of the island. After a while though, they discovered intruders on their land; the Mizu.
The Mizu had been around since the Xaka and the Yami took their separate places and had watched ever since. Though they were strong and elusive they didn't fight.
The Gida tried to chase them off, angered by their presence, but the Mizu avoided all their attacks and teased them by chasing fish out of their nets or splashing passing Gida on cold days.
The Gida are very frustrated, but somewhat tolerate the Mizu around them.

Kori clan:
Members from the Kori clan often have light colored hair and light colored eyes. They have a light complexion and often wear thick clothing. They have a heightened resistance to cold, but can't stand hot and damp places.

Fotia clan:
Members from the Fotia clan have a dark to medium skin color and mostly have brown or black hair. They have dark colored eyes and wear loose clothing, most consisting of a top and a shirt or only pants. They love warm weather and don't do well in damp or cold weather.
They somewhat resemble Egyptians or African people.

Rayi clan:
People from the Rayi clan have mostly light skin color, dark hair and wear medium to thick clothes. Thei hair and fur are very thick and very warm. They have a heightened resistance against cold and do well in most climates. They don't like being underground though.

Gida clan:
Gida clan members have a tanned complexion, different colored hair and different colored eyes. Most have something like reptilian scales and poisonous fangs. They wear dark, thin clothes. They love damp and hot weather, but hate extreme heat and cold.

Mizu clan:
Mizu people have a light, often pink-ish complexion and mostly brightly colored hair and bright eyes. They have fins on their back and side mostly and can switch between a fish-tail or legs. They have gills and skinflaps between their fingers and toes. They do well in water and damp area's, but dehydrate quickly and nearly die in hot weather.

Yami clan:
Yami people have extremely pale skin, very dark eyes almost without white and sturdy claws. They have mostly white hair and don't do well in sunlight or other bright lights. They often wear brown, sturdy but light clothes which almost always gets covered with dust and dirt.

Xaka clan:
The Xaka clan members have mostly blond or nearly white hair, light eyes and wings. They wear light colored clothes and have holes in their clothes at the back to let their wings out. Most have sharp claws and golden or blue eyes with thin slits.

This is the first generation, there can be more than one per clan, but these are the first of each clan. Keep in mind that the second generation must be younger than the first. You may also make an older child that has already been searching for the Aiyu, but please ask me first.

Personality: Mina has always been a quiet child growing up. She was cast out by most villagers as a user of the shadow element, even though her other power was lightning and thus grew secluded. She often sits about on secluded places.

Companion or pets?: Yraxi is her best friend and she has her born companion Mati, which is a small black dragon. He can grow to the size large enough to carry Mina around if she wants to. He also has front claws, unlike in the picture.
History: Mina had always been an outcast. As the daughter of the clan leader she has to be an example, but the hatred the other clan members show towards her only gets her depressed. She always stays alone with her Sotencu, Mati.
Extra: She is always dressed in black, to the displeasure of her clan members and parents.

History: Yraxi had a very regular childhood, like most children in the clan. She befriended Mina at a young age and they have been friends ever since.

Personality: She is friendly, but likes to be alone. She is a well-respected person in her tribe, but doesn't really respond to all the praise. She doesn't really care about the quarrel between the clans either.

Companion or pets?: Two strange hybrid-type creature which are like a mix between a chinese dragon and a fox are her Sotencu's. She is until now the only one that has 2 in her clan. Their names are Rasuah and Roga. They are both very good climbers, Rasuah is female and Roga is a male.
History: She had a very average childhood and grew up to be an excellent fighter and the best climber in her clan. She is the main hunter in the clan and is the bodyguard of the Clanleader.
Extra: She wears a black, spiked collar around her neck, which matches with the one her Sotencu wears.

I'm sorry I was away for so long, I had writer's block in the thread and I needed some time to think! The ideas are back, though! I'm ready to play!

May stands about 6'2", and carries a spear on her back. It is rather long, and she requires to hands to weild it. She is utterly deadly with the weapon though.

Personality: EXTREMELY reserved, sometimes will go weeks without talking to anyone save her clan leader. She feels soemtimes that emotions get in the way, and almost never tells anyone what she is thinking, when she does listen intently. Inside she is rather kind and sweet, but breaking the layer on the outside is near impossible. On the outside when she is talking, she is cold and not afraid to tell people when they are messing up. Again, all other emotions are kept inside.


Chosen Child?: Yesh

Companion or pets?: A polar bear, by the name of Ice. Ice had saved May's life while she was in the wild, preforming her trial. The story is unknown to most, and they only know that when she returned, she had a polar bear with her.
History: May has been a quiet child since birth, but by the time she was three, it was realized that she was the chosen child of their clan. She was trained, and became gifted with a spear. She refrained from talking to others, and only the clan leader was able to form a bond with her. Her parents died when she was only 2, and she never has any memories of them. The guildmaster served as her father, raising her and becoming her only true friend.

Hello. I have deemed your roleplay interesting enough to join. I don't usually roleplay around these parts, but I think you'll find that I am no novice.

Name: Samuel Lyfe
Age: 18

Creature: Mountain Tiger

Appearance: Sam stands at a towering 7 feet tall, no more, no less. He is muscled and strong, and he likes to keep it that way. He has short, dark black hair lined with white streaks. He did not add them, he was simply born with these white stripes in his hair. His eyes are so dark blue that they almost seem black, and when one would look at them, it would feel like gazing into a bottomless pit. Sam is generally quite handsome, though he has a large scar going down his right cheek from his encounter with a member of the Gida tribe. Most of the time, Sam prefers to wear heavy gear, and has no problem carrying all his climbing equipment in one backpack upon his back. Most of the time, one will find him wearing dark green army boots lined with steel at the bottom, brown pants, similarly lined with strips of steel, a black jacket with iron shoulder plates, and a red headband tied around his head.

Personality: Samuel Lyfe may appear to be a rather shadowy figure at first. He is not too keen on revealing too much about himself, or anything about his true intentions, to anybody he does not trust completely and entirely. Consequently, it isn't easy for someone to gain his trust either. However, if, somehow, one could manage to fully and completely earn Sam's trust, then they would find that on the inside, he is really a caring man. Despite his shadowy figure, Sam is also a gentle giant, and would not want to fight anybody unless he absolutely was required to. History: Sam was the result of a forbidden union. His father, of the Rayi tribe, and his mother, of the Fotia tribe, had formed a forbidden relationship, and nobody was particularly happy about it. After it was found that not only were they in love, but they had a child, they were pulled apart and each returned to their separate tribes. The Rayi and Fotia tribes argued over who was to keep Samuel, but eventually, the Fotia decided they did not want the hybrid child, so Sam stayed with his father as a member of the Rayi.

Sam's childhood was turbulent. His father did his best to take care of the boy, but because of the recent troubles around the land of Omis, he was often off helping his clan, so Samuel was more or less left to fend for himself. That isn't to say he was cast off into the street, but he did spend many moons home alone. Other kids would often try to tease him about his half-blood origin, but most would eventually become intimidated by his hulking figure. As he entered his teen years, he took to the shadows, preferring to spend his days alone than with others his age. He would often watch the world from the darkness in which he lived, and took note of the way people acted. He took note of the way the world worked. It was during this time that he learned to practice the art of darkness, alongside his primary Earth attribute.

It was also during this time that Samuel learned of his beast form. One day, he was out buying some groceries for...well, himself, when one of his former bullies attempted to annoy him. Sam was fourteen at the time. He became so annoyed by the smaller boy that he was filled with rage and ended up transforming into the tiger beast. For a few days, people were terrified of him, until a wise old sage of the Rayi tribe visited the young boy and told him of his true standing as an Aiyu. With his father not there to care for him, Sam would find solace in this old sage, and would later become his apprentice. The sage helped Sam see things from a new light, and for the remaining four years, he taught him everything he could before he deemed Sam ready to go on a quest to find the other Aiyu.

You're very lucky sir/madam. This RP owner is very lax. You obviously did not read the rules because you put two elements without first asking, and you did not put the password within your form. I don't know how it works on other sites, but if you want to join an RP here, you should read the rules beforehand.

Personality: Vale's laidback and calm, is persistent and can even use deceit and manipulation when the need arises to do so. It is also highly noted that Vale is a very adaptable person, he can act normal under any circumstances.. He's mostly uncaring, although this is just him hiding he really cares about it. Vale loves teasing people to get them agitated, as he knows they cannot think straight when starting a fight in this situation, he however seems to be sober, agitated or not. Others have also noted that he is the type of person who can lie with a straight face or act like nothing happened even though he is greatly bothered by something. Most people however like to chat with him, since he is a reasonable youngman who has more experience and knowledge about life than one would persume.
