Quick recap on everything that's gone into the OP:

• 2 Spoinks have evolved into Grumpig.

• A new member, nkl93, has been added into the members list. (Earned Abra and Mew badges, BTW.)

I have removed the polls, though, since the results are still roughly a 2:1 yes to no ratio for both questions.

freestone- In order to join, you have to post the link to your party page and the BB Codes (either image or badge, your choice) of the psychic-type pokemon you have. If you're not sure about which pokemon are psychic types, click the spoiler in the first post titled "Eligible Pokemon/Our Group's Roster" to see which pokemon are accepted into this group.

Loppy- Species doesn't matter, as long as they're psychic-psychic pairings that are in the same breeding group. Let me explain it this way:

You have four psychic-type pokemon from the Indeterminate breeding group and have just earned the Mesprit Badge with Pokemon A and Pokemon B. Now you can either earn the Azelf badge with Pokemon A and Pokemon C, Pokemon B and Pokemon C, or Pokemon C and Pokemon D.

A vacation? If I took a vacation from GTS+, I'd have nothing left to do online...

I just wanted to make sure that you removed a Meditite egg from the roster when you added the Meditite; the post wasn't clear.

First things first: silly me forgot what day my birthday falls on the other day (again- I do this every year). So the changes to the rules for the Breeding Badges and the joining format won't be happening until Saturday instead of Friday. I understand this is the same day the the contest starts, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Loppy- Tried to reply to your PM and got interrupted by a brownout in the middle of typing. So I'm going to just answer your questions from the PM right here. First off, you shouldn't feel bad because I don't feel you wasted any of my time. Secondly, you were right about having earned some badges. Tracy and Picky have earned you the Uxie and Mesprit badges. In order to earn the Azelf Badge, Tellu and Annalise or another pairing will need to have produced ten or more children at one point in time (we go on the honor system more or less with the Breeding Badges ever since the introduction of the Shelter's 36-hour rule). And to earn the Gardevoir Badge, you'll need a pairing where one or both of the pokemon is from the Ralts family (Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, or Gallade) and simply post that you're breeding such a pairing (posting BB Codes is optional).

As for the banner you included in the PM, it's going into the OP and has earned you the Deoxys Badge.


Shiny Spoink is not spam! Having one or more shiny psychic-type pokemon in the roster earns you the Mewtwo Badge!

Allies with Pork Army? Gladly! I was intending to make a post over there anyway... ;D

Hikora- No, you do not have to hatch your eggs entered into the roster in order to earn badges. You already have the Abra Badge.

Torrita- Oh? That Meditite had already been entered into the roster as an egg? Alright, I've gone and corrected that, then.

I don't separate eggs from hatched pokemon in the roster, so that the only changes I have to make in the roster after pokemon are entered are when they evolve.

Soo... since the "any psychic type x Ditto" pairing was accepted, would I have earned the Uxie and Mesprit badges? (my Metagross has 32 children he bred with my Ditto)

And speaking of which, while I was on vacation, I evolved Metang into Metagross and Smoochum into Jinx.

Geezaloo. Reality just loves to blitzkrieg me sometimes. I use a local ISP, and they had problems with their network on Saturday so I couldn't get on at all then. I just finished making the OP changes.

Galahawk- You're absolutely right. Uxie and Mesprit badges get. And the evolutions of Hawking and Crystal have been added to the roster.

Pimpburger- Your Slowpoke eggs have been added to the roster. Say, waitaminnit...

Looks like your shiny hunt has gotten you something already! You've gone and earned the Grumpig Badge for having 25 or more pokemon entered into the roster! Congratulations!

ANNOUNCING THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF OUR FIRST EVER OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL "THE LAST ONE DIDN'T COUNT" CONTEST!

This is a themed writing contest. And the theme for this contest is...

My Favorite Psychic-Type Pokemon!

Members participating in the contest will write an entry where their favorite psychic-type pokemon is the central focus of the piece.

1. The entries must all be posted within this thread and must be marked that they are contest entries. If you wish, you can reserve a post in the thread solely for your contest entry simply by making a post marked "Reserved for Contest".
2. Anything goes with the format of your piece. It can be as simple as an essay about why you like your favorite psychic-type pokemon, to a poem about that pokemon, to a fanfic starring that pokemon.
3. Since we're talking about psychic-type pokemon, check and see that your subject is in the roster before writing up your piece. This is important because the roster is also a complete, research backed list of all psychic-type pokemon, both single types and dual types. And Arceus, who can be any type including Psychic.
4. Speaking of Arceus, Arceus and the legendary psychic-type pokemon are not off limits as subject material in this contest. Because, frankly, it wouldn't be fair if you had a legendary pokemon as your favorite psychic-type and weren't allowed to write about it.
5. I expect your piece to be at least three paragraphs in length. No one or two sentence paragraphs. If your piece is a poem, any verse and meter (iambic, trochaic, etc.), stanza pattern (couplets, triplets, quatrains, etc.), form (ode, sonnet, kyrielle, rondeau, etc.) is allowed, but it should be at least two stanzas in length with the exception of single stanza forms such as limericks. You should also note that your chances of winning with a simple limerick are very slim unless you REALLY manage to wow me with a fantastic one.
6. Spelling, punctuation, and grammar count. No chatspeak (lol, srsly, brb, etc.) either, unless it's how a character in a fanfic talks or you're depicting an actual chatroom. A piece that looks sloppy has a low chance of winning. You can edit your piece as many times as you want before the deadline, however, and can even stop in the middle of working on it and come back to it on a later date before the deadline.
7. Because of how lengthy your piece might become and the fact that you might want privacy while you're editing your piece, you may want to wrap your work in spoiler tags. (This is not a rule, just a suggestion.)
8. Since the contest started a couple of days later than it was supposed to, I've gone and set the deadline back further than originally planned. The deadline is Saturday September 5th. That is the final day you have to compose, post, and edit your entries. I will take between three days and a week (depending on how many entries there are) to look over the entries, decide who the winner is, and announce my decision in a post in this thread.
9. The winner will earn the Deoxys Badge if he or she has not already done so. If the winner has already earned the Deoxys Badge, they will receive another reward for winning the contest.

Stupid question? No.

There's a spoiler in the first post titled "The Mystical Marvels Badge System (What They Look Like, What They're Called, What They're For, How To Get Them)" that contains the badges as well as all the information about them.

We also used to have badge cases for each member of the group containing and displaying each badge that member had earned, but that somehow fell to the wayside. The member who was in charge of that was having persistent computer problems and I haven't been able to get in contact with her since then.

As for how we've been using the badges now, members have been putting them into their signatures.

1. Head to the first post on the first page of this thread (the OP).
2. Click the spoiler tag marked "The Mystical Marvels Badge System (What They Look Like, What They're Called, What They're For, How To Get Them)". This contains the images of every badge, along with descriptions of the achievements the represent and what you have to do to earn them.
3. Once you find the badge you're looking for, right click it.
4. Select Properties on the right click drop-down menu. This will open the Element Properties pop-up window.
5. Right click the part of the Element Properties window that says "Location:" on the left side and choose Select All from the drop-down menu. This will highlight the entire image url without having to click on it and drag your cursor.
6. Right click the highlighted text and choose Copy from the drop-down menu. You can now close the Element Properties window.
7. Open your Control Panel in another window or tab (depending on what browser your using, which is easier for you, or even which you simply prefer).
8. From your Control Panel, go to your Edit My Signature page.
9. Select the spot in your text entry window where you want to put the badge and paste in your copied image url using either: the Insert Image button OR BB Code img tags.
