I used both myself. The first one is so that the "open all" button opens the tabs in the background and the second one is so that when snaplinking parties they all open after all the tabs you currently have open versus only after the tab you're on.

But in all seriousness, yes, use Snaplinks. It makes loading speed and tab-cycling speed alot quicker.

Well.. I use Multi Links 2.0.0.13 and Firefox 3.5.7 and I dont have any lag :/

@ Rofl: Lag will probably strike after x number of months use or something along those lines. The same happened to us with the older snaplinks, though we probably didn't let the pages load.

Then again, the site was really laggy at the time... I suppose we'll have to wait and see what happens.

Just wanted to pop in to say thank you for the warning about Multi-links. I'd been wondering what was causing that tab lag (I thought it was just the capabilities of my lappy not being able to keep up with the tabs), and it turns out it was just Multi-links. I uninstalled/disabled a couple other of my addons just to be safe though. Colorful tabs wasn't doing me any good anyway. :P

Now I actually can open 20+ users parties (as opposed to the 10 or 12 I was able to open before) at a time and not slow down to freaking Shuckle speed.

Um. I dunno if it's the same problem Confusious had (or has ;x) but if I let all tabs load I get lag switching tabs when clicking.
If they are still loading I don't have this problem.
I'll try to disable multi-links like you said to see if that's the problem.

Yeah - it was Multi-links causing the issue.

Other add-ons you may have could be doing it as well. To check, switch to safe mode, then disable add-ons one by one until you're free from tab-lag.

You can use the older version of multi-links (1.0.0.12, I believe) > snaplinks, though it does have its drawback: Not all selected links will open if you're clicking through the online list; however, you get a nice, smooth drawn box.

Snaplinks, on the other hand, is a little laggy to draw with, but it opens everything, and tab-cycling is just as good as the old multi-links.

EDIT: and one tip for when snaplinks fails (which I encountered in my clicking spree), you don't need to wait for the page to fully load but you DO need to wait for the snaplink box to fully load and disappear before you close the tab, otherwise you close the tab with the snaplinks, making it stop working for the remaining tabs.

AT if you found it out yourself you're the man, well you're already the man xD
I still have some (little) lag but I think is my PC. Snaplinks switch let me open, click and close 200 tabs in 3-4min
I even got 10k (from 3,1 - 6.8/6.9) with 2h30 and while i was having some health issues that got me bit away from the PC.

I've gotten a lot of PMs regarding Faviconize Tabs, so I hope this helps

The nice thing about Faviconize Tabs is when you're setting it up, it accepts Wildcards.

For instance if you type in http://gpxplus.net/* it'll faviconize any tab with http://gpxplus.net/ in the url.

If you want it to faviconize ANY tab you come across, you only need to insert one character, the asterisk: *

If you want to JUST faviconize feeding/warming pages, I suggest using the url http://gpxplus.net/info/*

First, I wanted to download this Snap Link stuff. But for some reason, the first link doesn't work. When I click on the second link for Firefox 4.0 or something, then there are so many links I can click on, I'm confused I don't know which one I should choose and what I have to do after the download.

On the second page, the numerous links are the different updates that have been. Look at the dates, the latest one should be at the bottom of the list. Just download that one, forget the others.
