Ooh I'm curious about the Fill my party! I hope it has a random egg option. It's already random insofar as it selects eggs that are on the screen already at random and does not take your current party, hunts, or anything else into account. So it's pretty much entirely the option you want. I think Wymsy talks about it a few pages back. -------------------- |

I actually like her sleepy look and the fact that Thomas wears no shirt. To me little things like this add personality and some kind of depth to the characters, which is very hard when they only have a few lines and you have to "judge" them by the image alone. I myself came up with little traits for them, which I will keep to myself, because some are weird ... it's just a way for me to become "closer" to the characters And remember that we are talking about manga style characters here, guys, they will never be completely realist. DT's art is awesome. But I think I spotted a little something, though. I may be incorrect, but with Thomas' neck turned on one side like this, shouldn't his adam's apple (at least I think that shadow is his adam's apple) be between his SCM muscles, not beside them? I mean, shouldn't the right (his right) SCM be curved around and past the A'sA? Soo sorry, if I'm incorrect or that's not even his A'sA Oh I see what you mean! It's not his adam's apple though, that would have been incorrectly placed if so, you're right. I think I actually forgot to define his adam's apple, w2g me, and there seems to be a rogue shadow in his neck that shouldn't be there... ho-hm. I spoke to BB and he's still deciding some things about the images and their placement, though, and was specifically told not to worry about edits at the moment unless Zerxer or Wymsy feel it's necessary, so I appreciate the feedback but for now it doesn't look like I'll be editing further. Once the layout is fully finished though I'll be happy to work on minor tweaks - should be easier then. Basically, the image I made has both of them standing a distance apart and is a bit larger, so BB has to resize, move the image around and adjust placement for every new edit... seems less counterproductive to wait for the final layout in this case then, since that means I can edit the final, finished version of the image instead of the one I have. -------------------- |

...Welp! I was given the resized/edited Shelter version of the image and made the two changes (better than making BB fix the placement all over again). Dunno when you guys will see the updated version, so here is a link for it.

I'm not gonna lie but this whole new theme is disgusting =/. To me it's like trying too hard to change and makes me feel like I'm not using a desktop instead as if I'm using a tablet or something. Idk.

Idk. Well, I figured everyone and everything (as in, on internet) is trying to do this. We are so hard in the 21st century that this kind of technology became very much popular, look at the Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, how improved they got. Then look at the new Facebook, new Twitter...Sources are uncountable... Everyone is going for the better. -------------------- |

Can we all please... actually accept and enjoy Shiro's art now? ;-;
Personally I didn't really see any problem with it before, and quite honestly sitting back and watching/reading all this nitpicking at the art is getting kinda annoying. I know you can't please everyone, but at least try to understand Shiro's doing her best at things? I know art will get critisized but that's not the point. I guess put yourself in Shiro's shoes and imagine you did the art for another website. Then get people nitpicking because it's not 'perfect'. Do you see the point I'm trying to make yet /end rant or whatever. Not trying to cause any arguments here but I'm just trying to get people to see...? ;-; I know there's not any nitpicking at the moment (I'm referring to a couple of pages ago or w/e) but it really isn't fair for people to nitcpick/complain over silly things :/ So I'll take this time to say thanks for the beautiful artwork you've done for us, Shiro. I can't wait to see the other images that are waiting. This post has been edited by Starships: Feb 24 2012, 02:52 PM -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. Can we all please... actually accept and enjoy Shiro's art now? ;-; I don't think it was ever a question of rejecting/not enjoying Shiro's artwork. I mean, it's an obvious improvement from the current art and it's great that it's getting updated, but if the artwork's gonna be a key feature on the site now, wouldn't you want it to be its absolute best and most accurate? (and, I don't know, IS artwork gonna be a key feature now?) I mean, I don't think anyone ever thought that Shiro didn't honestly put serious effort into it (despite her own admissions earlier, maybe?) and it was just outsider opinions trying to make it better. Some were just negative criticism/picking nits (I'm not using that oh-so-favorite word everyone loves here) and some were constructive criticism. Shiro took them into consideration and edited/chose not to edit as the situation called for. And there's probably SOMEONE out there that dislikes it for their own reasons--aesthetics vary between people--but, like you said, if you try to please everyone, you'll generally end up pleasing no one. But man, as long as I can get to the Shelter eggs easily, I'm ducky. Design should aid and improve accessibility, not hinder it, and the flavor-art doesn't hinder the page function. It's flavor. Gives some spice to the page. And I'm fine with that. e: tl:dr: Constructive criticism is okay, but picking nits for the sake of picking nits isn't, and a kerfuffle over artwork ranks below the site being usable. And Shiro's art doesn't hinder usability. This post has been edited by Dreoilin: Feb 24 2012, 03:06 PM -------------------- |

And Shiro's art doesn't hinder usability. By "accepting and enjoying" I actually meant "can we please stop picking faults with it". EDIT: Also, I was aware that there was constructive criticism. I wasn't including that, because that's the basic requirement with art. Most of what I saw wasn't exactly constructive, which is what I posted what I posted. Like I said, not trying to spark anything, just trying to get people to understand :/ This post has been edited by Starships: Feb 24 2012, 03:14 PM -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. Thanks guys. ):
From now on though I'm really only editing if I spot any more easy to fix mistakes or if BB asks me to. This goes for the other two pictures too. I appreciate polite feedback, especially where anatomy is concerned, but for every new edit there will be new complaints, so I'd just get stuck editing forever... -------------------- |

(Sorry, no humorous GIFs from me.) So. Speaking of the new NPCs. This might've been answered earlier (like eight pages ago) but...what if we get to battle Alex & Thomas in a dual battle? :o -------------------- |

Did I miss something? When did their names become Alex and Thomas? It's in the block-text on the latest Shelter image update. The names, anyway. I'm making an assumption that they're new NPCs. Unless an admin said something about it. But I don't think they did. Either way. Assumption I'm making. -------------------- |

they got names in the rearrangement it seems. The original shelter link doesn't have names but the new link does... so I guess names were given then.
