Ninetales does have some nice tricks, like hypnosis/nasty plot, but really I've always liked arcanine, and it has nice overall maximums.

Arcanine has better stats and loks cooler but Ninetails is cute and learns good moves.

They're both awesome,but I prefer Arcanine.

In terms of appearance, I went with Arcanine. But I don't use mine at all, so it tends to rot in my PC.

I can't really decide. Both have their pros and cons. Arcanine is better at battling but ninetails is a beautiful creature. Arcanine is faster but ninetails is better at contests. And ninetails is more widely known considering I gave a survey to non-pokemon fans and more said ninetails. But arcanine is a fierce creature that is more widely known across us pokefans. I can't choose.

arcanine, in my opinion, can work better then Ninetails with easier movesets...

I know now why ninetails is better in it's description on one of the cards i have, it says that if pick one of it's tails and you pick the wrong one you have a thousand year curse on you.

In terms of Battling, both have its uses but I'd pick Arcanine. There are better options for a special attacking fire pokemon than Ninetails

In terms of looks, Arcanine, its just cool.

Shiny wise - Ninetails

Anime wise - its a tie. The Arcanine's I've seen in the anime are wicked...but Ninetails just looked so cute.

Like I said, Both have their pros and cons.

Arcanine definatlly for me. He has allways been a member of my team since Pokemon Red (Even though he was LV 59 by the time I figured out that you use a Firestone to evolve him).

I like Ninetails. It's fancier looking to me, which I like.

If pokemon were real, I'd stick with arcanine. He'd be such a fluffy and cute pet! <3 But in the abstract terms, I like ninetales better. He looks mysterious and intelligent...

Arcanine just kicks so much, I don't use him much but I'd use it over Ninetails in a battle and he looks so cool, plus he'd make a nice fluffy pet. =3

First off they both have amazing shiny forms, but arcanine is definitely the better of the two, from experience, Arcanine's stats bring it above Ninetales, even though it has useful moves, Hypnosis and such.

Arcanine = My favorite Pokemon of all time. And it has been since I became a fan of Pokemon as a child. Arcanine kicks Ninetails' ass x3

I never thought of ninetales as pretty arcanine is very tiger like and I love it that he can use fly moves.

I prefer it over Ninetails only because of the movepool it uses...at least I think so.

I'm also more of a fan of dogs, than foxes like Vulpix/Ninetails. Anytime I got a Pokemon game and either Vulpix/Ninetails or Growlithe/Arcanine, I always went for the one with Growlithe/Arrcanine in it. :]

I'd prefer Arcanine, but both are good for battling.

I'm a bigger fangirl of Arcanine 'cause it's sooo cute! I also love Arcanine's battle cry over Ninetale's.

the both are pretty fire- type,canine pokemons but i think that arcanine looks more powerfull and that i like it (but i have to sai that Ninetales its elegant ...)

OKAY yes Arcanine is better than Ninetales in battling but Ninetales is so pretty and it can curse you and such. So I choose the Fox. [Even though I do like dogs more then foxxes]

IMO, Arcanine is stronger but Ninetails is smarter. I prefer brains so I'd go with Ninetails.
