Appearance:
Thomas Nichols is about 5'4" tall. He weighs between 100 lbs and 120 lbs, depending on the time of day, the amount of exercise he's just had and whether or not he's just had a good meal.

He's got dark-blue eyes, dark-brown hair and no real odd and strange features. He's just your standard, average, nothing-special run-off-the-mill generic young adult out to uh, I guess capture them Pokeymans.

Personality:
Thomas is a rather laid-back youth with a terrible lack of backbone. He usually neglects what he wants and just goes with the flow and popular opinion; it's why he's travelling. Everyone went out with their Pokeymans, so who was Thomas not to do the same after everyone agreed he should venture out as well? That is not to say he is entirely uncaring; he just prefers to take the easiest way, though sometimes he wishes he'd stood up for himself. Particularly when he's stuck doing some chore again.

He does have his moments of extra-ordinairy bravery, but there is fairly little to make this youth stand out from the masses on a regular day.

Thomas dislikes the rain and often feels melancholic and sad when it's raining. He tends to avoid going outside when he can if that is so.

His favourite hobby is to read; he's not yet mastered the skill of reading and walking at the same time, but tries it oft enough. Usually this ends with him crashing into something, or tripping over something.

He has no real ambition to become a Pokémon Master and intends to return home once he's visited all the gyms. By visit he intends to just stop by, have a good chat and take off again. Thomas is the type who'd lie white lies so long as they hurt nobody, so he'd claim he just lost.

Biography:
Thomas was born in Fidona! (how dull) His parents were simply people, though his father was always away on trips and Thomas spent most his childhood with his mother. Well, the years after that, too─you could say his father is a stranger to him because he's always out working on some kind of project of which Thomas understands very little.

There really isn't anything unique or special that has happened to him, really. He received a Pokémon at age 10, a Jigglypuff he'd taken a liking to and who had taken a liking to him as well. A friendship of eternal flames was forged and they bonded so deeply it hurt. Of course, Thomas was an absolutely worthless trainer so he hardly if ever trained his Jigglypuff properly at first, and only serious comitted himself to the act when his mother said he should do so.

So he did.

In fact, his very first act as a Pokémon Trainer was to get creamed by the local bully. Ouch.

Then he went out and fought against wild Pokémon, but because he felt sorry for Jigglypuff most these encounters ended with Thomas and Jiggly running quite rather hard. So someone took pity on him and gave him a Hoothoot, knowing that Hoothoot was a more able fighter than Jigglypuff was! Even so, pathetic Thomas would win only because of Hoothoot's own thinking, and not Thomas's. He's just that worthless as a Trainer.

Then a few years later, he turned fifteen and many boys his age ventured out into the world while he stayed at home to read a good book. Two years passed, everyone agreed he should travel as well and Thomas, being spineless, agreed with them and went off with a backpack full of paraphernalia, his Hoothoot and ever trusty Jigglypuff.

Everyone expects the worst.
