Just wanted to say that the software I used to create this said in its legal documents that I can publish anything I make with it. Also, all the sprite sheets that I obtained sprites from said that I could use them without the need to give credit or any of that. This is just a bit of fun.

So this is my first ever attempt at creating a video game, (second actually but the first was just a practice thing). Its called Tales Of The Charizard Army, and is just a very simple maze game, (think pacman) with a few little twists, like boss battles! This is only the demo version, so only had the first 5 levels, but a full beta version, with lots and lots of levels, is in development.

Its an .exe file, so you don't need anything to run it. Just open it an the game will start. There's a help file which you can press F1 to bring up if you get stuck or need to know the controls.

This is brilliant for a homemade game, I've tried game maker, can't understand it AT ALL.

But I think when you get the skill, you should try make this into a shooter with bullets replaced by fire.

That game rocked! Downloaded it, played it, now HOOKED on it. The spinning Ampharos came as bit of a shock though.

Milo: It was originally going to be a scolling shooter, like you said with the bullets as fire balls, but the maze style leant itself to better level designs. Might go back after one day and finish it.

Ulqui: I couldn't work out how to get the sprite to match the movement on the Amprados cause it was moving randomly in eight different directions, so I just left him spinning with the excuse that he was crazy.

TSS: PM me with whats going wrong. I might be able to help you get it working

Great game! I see that you really love the Dragonzards I've made you.... I've tried GameMaker; the most I could make was "Click the Beerai!" I have tried a scrolling shooter. I failed. I do see some problems with the graphics; I'd be more than happy to help in my free time. The black on the sideways Charizard is transparent, for example. Also, I don't think the player should be collecting coins and pendants to advance to the next level. Make it Pokeballs, Poffins, Pokeblocks, etc, to make it more "Pokemonish".

Thanks Being the Charizard Army, they're obsessed with treasure, so thats why they're collecting jewels and all that. However, you have given me a very good idea, so thanks for that

Oh dear :S Try the pop-up blocker that comes with Google Toolbar, that ones very good. And make sure your firewall is turned on, assuming you have one. Has anyone else had problems with lots of pop-ups? If so I'll look into hosting it on a different site.

I got about three, but it isn't a huge problem, I don't think you need to change hosts.

I can download the game, but I can't play it since my mac cannot open .exe. files. I'll have to try it on my other computer then. But based on what everyone else says, I'm more eager to nab the laptop away from my parents. XD

That's awesome! I love it! Congrats on making a game! Took me four tries to get past the boss. :K

Only problem I had was finding my character on the third level. I always take a while to find where I am, and I lost two lives in the process on that one. :P
