The one thing I loved the most about the TV episodes are the pokemon contests that the heroine is always competing in. I was wondering if anyone wanted to join in on pokemon contests that could be held here. This is just an idea i have. Don't start yelling at me please. xD

Well just like the contests of course we'd need judges and ribbons but we can always worry about that later.

What I really wanted to know is if anyone would participate in these contests. To make it more like the GPX+ version we could always have a dress up round with a theme for every contest and participant's would have to dress their pokemon the best they can to match the theme. They would get judged by the judges and win points towards their final point count for the ribbon. Of course, members would have to think of their own routines for the prelims and then battles and so on.

So if you would have any interest just post here.

and mods; if there is another forum that this would fit more in, would you mind directing me to there? I just thought it'd fit here cause it does involve some roleplaying if not most parts of it.

Haha. I thought we all needed something that EVERYONE can participate in because we all know some people get rejected from other RPs for silly reasons. So I hope to get some interest in joining, some graphic makers to make some ribbons and we'll think about judges and what not later. (:

This sounds interesting, though I'm confused as to how it would actually work. Would you just describe everything, or draw pictures, or actually play it out through the games somehow? I'm probably a bit clueless because I've never done anything more adventurous than the GTS, so I don't know how to battle competitively or anything...

so yes we'd act or RP out for the performance and battle rounds. You've seen the contests on TV correct? We'll do the same thing except that we'll add a extra round and for the battles, because we can't/we shouldn't say that a attack hits or not we'll leave it to the judges to decide if there would be point deductions. Of course it wouldn't be fair to say that you dodged all the attacks cause then we'll never have a winner so we would ask that participants aren't always dodging successfully. haha i'm really bad at this. umm.. we could do it where the participants rp out their moves and what not and we'll leave it to the judges to decide the outcome.

Example:

Trainer A's vaporeon uses water pulse on Trainer B's Gallade. Trainer B has their Gallade jump out of the way and use Psycho cut to counter attack.

Judges: Gallade is hit by water pulse but manages to land a successful hit on Vaporeon while being hit.

Trainer A's points: 75/100
Trainer B's points: 85/100
