Yeah, Recoded and 365/2 Days. I have both of them and they are both pretty awesome to be honest. I've heard that the one coming out for 3D's is awesome too but you obviously need a 3DS.

I thought this was going to take me a while so I procrastinated on it endlessly... but I actually ended up finishing this in one sitting, which is extremely rare for me. Hm.

Appearance: Toph
She is very petite, even for her young age. Due to her blindness, her eyes always appear to be glazed over and unfocused. She rarely ever wears shoes, but this is sort of justified by the fact that she "sees" with her feet. Though her hair appears to be short, it's actually very long and bushy when she lets it down.

Personality: Toph is fiercely independent and stubborn, preferring not to rely on anyone else and to take care of herself. When people are kind to her for the sake of being kind, she often mistakes this for pity due to her blindness and apparent frailty, causing her to reject generosity from anyone but her closest friends. She wears her heart on her sleeve, and isn't afraid to let everyone around her know exactly how she's feeling at any given moment. She's also a bit of a tomboy, and sometimes finds it easier to relate with those of the opposite sex.

As a powerful earthbender, Toph doesn't let her skills go to waste. She enjoys fighting as a way to show off her earthbending prowess, and is eager to prove that she's just as strong as anyone larger than her, or without her disability. Sometimes, she will earthbend just for the fun of it, or to play a prank on someone.

Toph has a sense of humor, and loves making sarcastic and critical remarks about everything. Her wit is sharp enough that even when joking about her own blindness, she can use it to insult someone else. She especially loves to tease people when they temporarily forget that she's blind, such as if they ask her to look at something.

History: Toph was born and raised in Gaoling, a large Earth Kingdom town, where she was the only child of the very wealthy Beifong family. She was born blind, and this combined with her small size caused her parents to believe she was weak, fragile, and incapable of caring for herself. Thus, the measures they took to protect her were often extreme; they even went as far as to hide her existence from the rest of the world.

Greatly resenting the way her parents sheltered her, Toph briefly ran away from home at age six. She wound up in a cave inhabited by large creatures called badgermoles. Like Toph, these creatures were blind, and she instantly connected with them because of this. Badgermoles were considered the original earthbenders, and Toph began to learn earthbending from them by copying their movements. In the process, she learned how to "see" by sensing vibrations in the earth, and also developed an acute sense of hearing.

Later on in her life, Toph's father hired an earthbending teacher for her - Master Yu. He was instructed to only teach Toph the basics of earthbending, unaware that she was already so powerful. After a while, Toph's bending grew so formidable that she began to enter underground earthbending tournaments in secret, using the alias of the "Blind Bandit". She was successful enough to become champion of these tournaments more than once.

When she was twelve, Toph met young Avatar Aang, who was looking to master earthbending; and apparently, Toph was meant to be his teacher. She ran away from home in order to travel with Aang and his friends, but also to finally escape her overprotective parents. At first, she didn't get along very well with the rest of the group, but over time she became very close to them. They were the first and only true friends she'd ever had.

Little did Toph know that her father, suspecting that the Avatar had kidnapped her, hired two men to find her and bring her home to Gaoling. They were Yu, her old earthbending teacher; and Xin Fu, the promoter and host of one of the underground earthbending tournaments. When she and her friends where in the great Earth Kingdom city of Ba Sing Se, Toph received a letter that was supposedly from her mother, saying that she was in the city and wanted to meet her daughter. Toph entered the house her mother was supposed to be in, but the building was empty. She suspected trickery, but she was too late; Yu and Xin Fu emerged from the shadows and captured Toph, preparing to return her to her parents and collect their reward.

The two men carried Toph in a cart pulled by an ostrich-horse. She was trapped inside a box made entirely of metal, where she couldn't earthbend in order to escape. Frustrated, the only thing she could do was bang her hands against the box's walls. However, this turned out to be helpful; her blows sent out vibrations, which allowed her to sense the tiny fragments of earth contained within the metal. After a while, she was able to create a large hole in the box through which she escaped, sealing Yu and Xin Fu in the box as she left.

She then started heading back to Ba Sing Se to find her friends, using a self-created "wave" of earth to speed up the process. She found herself in the Arena before she was able to get to the city, however...

Equipment: Absolutely nothing, other than the clothes on her back. She never bothered with carrying things around, as she can just shape something out of earth (or now, metal) if she really needs it.

Powers: Toph is an earthbender, meaning she can fully manipulate earth and rock in all of their forms - and a particularly potent one at that. Although she is technically blind, she has learned to use her acute senses of hearing and touch to sense even the tiniest vibrations in the earth with her feet. This ability allows her to "see" the basic shape and size of objects as well as where they are located. It also makes her all the more better at earthbending, as it lets her sense and predict her opponents' attacks and react quickly.

Because of her unconventional training, Toph's earthbending style is unique and unpredictable, and often superior to that of other earthbenders. As her style relies on sensing the earth with her feet, she is vulnerable to attacks from the air, and is weakened when her feet are injured in some way. She also has trouble getting around if she's not on solid ground - walking on loose sand causes her surroundings to "look fuzzy", for example.

Toph practically invented a new type of earthbending - metalbending. She was able to sense fragments of earth inside of metal, and used this knowledge to "bend" the metal. As this is only a newly discovered skill of hers, it is not nearly as powerful as her earthbending. However, she is still able to manipulate metal in a similar manner of how she manipulates earth and rock.

She is also quite nimble and agile, due to her small size. This gives her another advantage over common earthbenders, who tend to be large and physically strong, but slow.

Theme Song: Um can I just leave this blank? She doesn't have an official theme as far as I know and I can't really think of any songs that fit her well.
Other: Here's a nice little video I found that shows how she fights. Might contain some spoilers; I haven't watched the entire video so I'm not sure.
Reason?: Why did I pick Toph, you ask? Why not? I really can't think of a single reason not to. She has a fun personality and a unique fighting style - perfect for a character in an RP like this.

I actually just recently watched the entire series (Korra included) for the first time. xp Korra is good so far but not nearly as good as TLA, in my opinion. Maybe because it's just so /different/.
