The General Plot

The Shogun of the Edo Period are currently in a state of unrest since they are slowly losing their powerful positions. While some have decided to move further inland to be retainers or vassels, others are finding new ways to keep their power. Then, all of a sudden, a particular rumour has begun to spread around the land about 'the Gifted ones'.

These ones acclaimed to be the Gifted were said to be humans imitating the Gods with varying powers. While the commoners were awe struck when faced with one of the Gifted the current government in power and the Shogun began to question how powerful these people were. They could be the ones to undo the peace Tokugawa Ieyasu has brought to the lands and has decided these imitation of Gods are no more than demons reaping their riches.

Now, in our current state, those who imitate the Gods are currently being hunted by Samurai and farmers alike. Will they be able to outmatch the hunters or succumb to a blood end?

The Setting

Feudal Japan, specifically in the Edo period where Tokugawa Ieyasu has been placed into power.
Even though it is considered a peaceful time there is still a bit of unrest between classes, especially amongst the Shogun.

It is currently late spring/early summer. Hard working farmers are attending to their crops while those who rather make a quick buck have abandoned their farms or left them to other family members so they can persue the gifted. This means there are some areas with food being unharvested. Whether or not these are safe places to gather is unknown.

To be further developed upon, specifically where in Japan our story will begin.

Right, before I forget, I'm throwing the link to this site in with my post. Now then, on with the rest of it.

Well, to start things off I think it might be a good idea if I cleared my character's gift with you, seeing as how it's not really a power as such. You see, I have this wolf-hybrid character that I've been dying to use for absolutely ages, and I was wondering if I could pass it off as the Ōkami. Seeing as how Ōkami translates to both 'great god' and 'wolf' in Japanese, depending on how it is written, I think it would fit in nicely in that sense, but at the same time this would result in my character essentially having a constantly active gift. Needless to say, I'd find a way to implement some kind of achille's heel into his gift, but I just wanted to clear up whether or not something like this would be all right first, before I go ahead and tweak more like massively alter his profile for this RP, just to find out he can't be used in it. Just for the record by the way, my gifted character is going to be 19. He'll have a fair amount of life experience by then, but he'll still have his youth.

As far as the setting is concerned, particularly where we start off, I suppose that it could be anywhere really. I was going to suggest that since I intend for my character to be some kind of wanderer/escaped convict at the start of the RP, having our characters simply come across eachother by chance in some fashion would be the best course of action. While I wouldn't mind the two of them knowing eachother right off the bat, I do really like going through the whole characters meeting eachother for the first time scenario, so I would prefer it if our characters met in the RP rather than before hand. As for how they meet, well that's entirely up to you. I mean, there's a few standard situations I've come up with in my head (one sees the other reveal their gift somehow, one of the characters gets captured and the other saves them, et etc), but it all boils down to your personal preference I guess. The latter suggestion may help on the romance side of things, if you intend for that to actually be relatively prominent in the RP which again, I don't mind at all.

And to be honest, to me a power can be anything from having the ability to be a wolf to being able to liquify and reform earth metals o: I don't want to limit anything so X3 Go ahead and do what you wish XD I was actually going to have something Okami related as well. Not really wolf but perhaps one of the other paint brush god techniques. Bloom is always my favourite <3 Since you're going Okami style though I expect something really ellaborate in design XD

Perhaps they meet in a Merchant district of some sort? It could lead to some sort of hilarious chase. I prefer them meeting and one of them being chased by samurai XD The other perhaps get swept up in the whole mess because they were being used as a shield or a decoy unwillingly? I dunno, I guess it'll come as we go along.

Romance doesn't have to be dominant in our roleplay dear o: I think as long as it sparks naturally then we'll be fine :3

Ah, I think I may noy have explained myself too well. When I say Ōkami, I mean my character will simply be having Ōkami as their alias, rather than having anything to do with the games at all. As far as I'm aware, the Japanese simply use the word in the 'wolf' and 'great god' sense when stating Ōkami and not referring to the game, which is why they would be referring to my character with that name (since I'm pretty sure they didn't have games about brush gods in the shogunate era :P ). However, if our characters powers needn't have any limits, I may incorporate Ameterasu into my character as well, adding the ability for brush powers (though perhaps minus the brush :P ). Hmm... a human-white-wolf hybrid with control of the wind, and possibly fire, if I feel like adding a bit of brush-powers-minus-the-brush in there. Yep, sounds like a demon to me XD

You know what, I like that plan. It sounds just like something my character would do, taking a random person hostage in order to escape. Don't get me wrong, he'd be sure to release them unharmed and everything, but that sort of action wouldn't be the sort of thing he'd find himself thinking twice about, not in terms of morals anyway. Perhaps he's trying to barter with a merchant over some food, and as someone bumps into him, his hat falls off to reveal his ears or something, then we have the big huge town-wide "OMYGAWSHITSTEHOKAMI!!!1eleven!!" moment, then the whole 'hostage' situation occurs.

It may not have to be dominant, but the way that I imagine the RP moving, I can't really see it not being an eventuality if you know what I mean. Even if it ends up being a little one sided for a while, which I think would actually be quite amusing. Meh, we'll just have to see how that side of things pans out, unless you have any other plans of course *shrug*.

Amgawsh I'm so sorry XD Whenever I hear Okami now I'm all over the games. I've been addicted to Okamiden all month! *flails* Anyways I think we need to incorporate it in now since we're both thinking on the same line! To use the powers without the brush would be unique. As I said we're limitless since it's the least of my concern. We're both mature and reasonable people so I'm expecting with all these fantastic yet demonic powers we'll be able to show very noticeable flaws X3

Oooo yey so this might work out perfectly XD I think the hostage situation would be perfect for our characters to meet up in! It would stir a lot of attention.

Hey wait...if you get animal ears I demand my girl gets them too XD We'll just have to be a couple of brush power minus the brush users only one is more hostage grabbing than the other XD Perfect couple X'3 The love would be rather one sided I'd assume. In rare cases victims do fall in love with their kidnappers so XD

So now to get our character profiles up and edit the information above. Will you have any hunter characters cause I do have another male and female lined up to be Samurai perhaps.

Hehe, don't worry about it. I'm exactly the same whenever anyone talks about Bleach XD. Aye, brush powers powers without brushes certainly seem to be the way forward for us at the moment . Well, like I said I'll be taking wind and fire. Combine that with Katsu's wolf-like appearance, and I've pretty much got the definition of a hell-hound hybrid for a character, though his personalities going to be anything but dark :P. Ah man, I've not made a character as care-free as this in absolutely aaaaaaages.

WARNING: Arcy may be a little rusty with his care-free character, please feel free to punt him if Katsu doesn't seem carefree enough at any moment in time. That is all.

Right then, hostage taking introduction is a go. Since that's the route we're taking, you'd be much better off making the first post I think, that way my character can simply flee the scene the second his identity gets revealed and grab your character. Don't worry by the way, while he may well be getting a little 'up-close-and-personal', he won't be doing anything too suggestive by any means. Well, he might not do anything, but as far as saying things are concerned, I'm not making any promises...

Hey, it's your RP, I should be the one making demands not you. You're the one with all the control here, remember? XD Mhm, the perfect couple indeed. Well, while Katsu doesn't really shy away from the love side of thing, he's not the kind to fall head-over-heels for someone at all. Don't get me wrong, he'll most likely end up finding you character quite beautiful (for one reason or another), and will give the odd compliment, but it'll take him quite a while to decide whether he actually likes her in that respect. He's not shy about complimenting a pretty face, but when it comes to the 'feelings' side of things, it can take him just that little bit longer than most men. So basically, if there's going to be a 'true love' thing going on or whatever, providing your character can get over the fact that Katsu basically kidnapped her, Katsu most probably is going to be the one who'll have to eventually click on to what's going on.

I've got one hunter in mind at the moment, a girl who has trained to be as profecient as Samurai when it comes to combat, with a bow in particular, though she isn't actually a Samurai and is merely a farmer's daughter, but aside from that, I've got nothing.

Right, I'm getting there with Katsu's profile now. Just gotta finish of his personality and history and then I'm done. That said, his history is being rather uncooperative at the moment, so this may take a while...

I'll probably take brush powers concerning earth and water? Just to balance your character's powers. Then again guidance was such a neat technique to use in Okamiden. I'll have to do more research XD Mmm hell-hounds without the death like personalities are cute <3 And don't worry if you get too serious I'll be sure to have my character jab to lighten the mood. I see her being sarcastic and somewhat serious but with a lighter side. She'll be the first to comment if she thinks an idea is bad and maybe she's just brutally blunt X3

I'll be sure to make the first post once when get our character profiles up. I'm a little lacking simply because I have other character profiles to work on. Runi and I are going to be using three characters each right off the bat and I barely have them planned out. I totally wasn't playing Eden Eternal all night >> << >>;;;;;

Awww he sounds like a sweet heart which will be nice X3 I think she'll be a little put off by comments because she's not used to being complimented or maybe she's stuck on the tangent that imitations are not beautiful. They are just fake gods? I want to give her some sort of low esteem to increase the need to be so sarcastic and defensive. She may even reject her feelings towards him at the beginning which will no doubt bring some fruedian slips here and there X3 <3333

Yeah, that seems like a good idea to me. Making our characters at neutral standing to eachother in terms of powers would most probably help greatly in terms of getting our characters on equal footing at the start of the RP. It'd also be pretty cool to see how they react to both being eachother's greatest weakness, but also greatest counters. Still, if you go for a completely different power where their powers simply don't overlap at all, that to could be pretty cool, since that way they'll probably actually still be surprised to the fact that such a power exists. Meh, whatever you decide I'm sure will be awesome

By the sounds of things, I'm sure these two are going to have some rather interesting travels around Japan. Katsuro's as far from serious as possible the vast majority of the time, or more generally, he just seems to be pretty much the polar opposite of your character. I mean, as far as self-esteem goes, he doesn't really give a damn XD

Just to put things into perspective, when I said he would more than likely compliment your character, his compliments won't focus solely on her, well, ‘assets’, but he's far from shy of referring to them. So, um, yeah, you and your character make of that what you will. And please, don’t worry about her being brutally blunt to him. It’s probably the only way he’ll take anything she has to say seriously.

Hehe, looks like you’ll have your hands full over the next few days. In that case, I won’t rush my profiles to completion, which will either mean they will be my normal length, or extremely, extremely long.

You know what, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Freudian slip ever take place in an RP, literally. I mean, they’re surprisingly common in real life, but no-one ever brings them up in RPs. It’s a shame, really.

That’s a cute name? It just seems like something that rolls off the tongue for me. I mean, while Katsuro isn’t exactly difficult to say, Katsu just feels more natural. Well now, there’s a topic that could prove interesting in the RP.

“Katsu? Why do you call yourself that? It just belittles you.”

“Why not? It’s easy to say, it has a nice catch to it... isn’t that what a nickname’s meant ta be?”

“But you’re meant to be a beast, why give yourself such a cu-, stupid name?”

“…What the heck’s cu-stupid meant to mean? You tryin’ ta confuse me or somethin’?”

Mind you, that’s just me coming up with scenarios in my head. It’s not like I can predict how your character’s going to act or anything XD

Oh, and by the way, this is what I've got for Katsuro at the moment. I'll admit, I'm a little stumped for the moment as far as the history side of things is concerned, but other than that, I think I've got everything pretty much covered.

Alias|| Ōkami – Meaning “Wolf” and “Great God”

Age|| 19

Gift|| Katsu has a form that is something between that of a wolf and a human, though leaning towards the latter, and has adept control of wind and fire. As one would guess, his wolf-like form also gives him some rather unbelievable physical abilities, especially with regards to speed, dexterity and stamina. However, the human side of his body doesn’t allow for him to simply carry on with great feats such as jumping straight onto the roof of a one, or possibly even two story building day in day out. Needless to say, he will get tired, and making his body perform beyond that of the human capacity is one of the quickest ways he can do that. If he’s doing something a normal human can theoretically do, his stamina will almost seem limitless, but once he starts going beyond that, the energy costs seem to exponentially increase.

As well as the direct physical side, there are also a few other abilities that Katsu has obtained from his wolf-reminiscent body. While his eyesight may well be the same as a humans, the young man’s sense of smell is equivalent to that of an experience wolf. His hearing is not just identical, but actually to that of his canine half, which makes sense considering the fact that he has ears even bigger than that of a regular wolf, scaled to fit his own skull in proportion of the canines. This serves to be quite the double edged sword however, as though while he can pick up noises most humans can’t hear, some of these pitches are very painful for his human brain to register. Add to this the fact that while usually quite noises become easily audible, already loud noises become deafening, and you do very much have quite an ability that is both a blessing, and a curse. Fortunately, wearing a hat muffles noises so that Katsu ends up with a relatively normal sense of hearing, as far as volume is concerned at the very least.

It also appears that Katsu has inherited a large amount of typical animal behaviour from his ‘wolf-side’. For example, he will occasionally scratch behind his ears with his legs while using his hands and rear end to keep his balance, much like a dog. This is quite the rarity however, very often he will simply end up using his hands to scratch behind his extremities. Also, rather than simply look for an object, every now and again he will actually attempt to sniff it out rather than use his eyesight, since his sense of smell is actually equal to that of a wolf while his eyesight is simply at human-level.

As far as control of wind and fire is concerned, well there are some limitations to the teen’s control of them. For a start, in a low oxygen environment (i.e. underwater), using his fire abilities is simply impossible. It is also impossible for Katsu to use his abilities when he himself is wet, the reasoning for this being not so clear. Oddly enough, whenever Katsu uses these fire-based powers, the sclera of both his eyes will start to glow a colour which can only be described as reddish-orange The more he uses them, the more intense the colour gets, ranging from barely visible to as bold as the white of his hair. Due to fact he can’t really see his own eyes without a mirror, Katsu has never witnessed this himself, and consequently simply isn’t even aware of this phenomenon.

When it comes to controlling wind, well, Katsu’s abilities allow for him to simply alter currents of wind, rather than create them from scratch. If there is so much as a gentle breeze, he can narrow that down and force it into one, stronger current, but he can’t just conjure up tornados out of nowhere. Essentially, he can’t create what isn’t already there, he simply alters its current state. Much like his other powers, using his wind-based powers causes his eyes to glow, though with an ethereal grey as opposed to a fiery red, though the colour still becomes more prominent as the power is used in an identical manner

When he is using these powers, Katsu very often ends up moving his hands in ways which suggest he is in fact using them to make these forces of nature do his bidding, while in reality, they aren’t responsible for the resultant effects at all. Really, the only reason Katsu moves in such a manner is because doing so helps him control his powers much easier. You see, using them is all about visualising what he intends to do with them, and using his hands helps him greatly with just that. Without moving his hands, Katsu finds his control over his powers diminishes greatly, so restraining him is very much the ideal when facing him as an opponent.

Weapon|| While Katsu does posses a Wakizashi (short sword), it is not something that he finds himself primarily using as a weapon by any means, more a shaving razor than anything else. Yes, occasionally he will use it in combat to defend himself (literally as in purely blocking other swords, which he has gotten quite the knack of over the years), but he can honestly say that no-one has ever fallen victim to his blade. Well, no person has anyway, there has been the odd unfortunate animal who has found itself on the unfortunate end of a hungry ‘Ōkami’, but that’s beside the point.

Appearance|| As one can imagine, Katsu is far from an average appearing human being. All of the hair on his 5'10'' figure is as pure of a white as you will ever see, much like the hair on the outside of his ears. Yes, that’s correct, his ears have hair covering them, or more accurately fur. The bases of Katsu’s ears are heavily scarred, the nature of how they ended up there being one of the young man’s more disturbing memories, though these scars are completely covered by the teenagers long, white, curly hair when he lets it hang free.

The hair for the most part reaches about halfway down the teens back (the one exception being Katsu’s fringe which instead reaches down to about his mouth level), which is completely bare of hair, making it obvious that hair simply only grows on him in places which would be natural for a human and at the corresponding times. Obviously, this means that he is more than capable of growing facial hair, but he keeps this in check with a little help from his Wakizashi, leaving him with white facial stubble which, dependant on the light he’s in, can actually end up being completely invisible. Usuallly, rather than having his hair running right down his back, Katsu opts to instead to tie his hair back into some kind of a pony tail. Due to the thickness and natural style of his hair, the ponytail ends up spreading out a quite a bit more than usual, creating an effect that is quite reminiscent to that of the top of a pineapple. It is worth noting however that despite the fact that it quite easily reaches the back of his head, Katsu doesn’t tie his bangs behind his head, mainly due to the fact that they from an almost symmetrical, natural part away from his eyes, aside from the right hand side which covers his corresponding eye, which is indeed quite fortunate given it’s aesthetics.

Just below Katsu’s back is probably his most interesting bodily feature however, a white-furred, two foot long tail. Like many tailed creatures, it does behave subconsciously when the teen feels certain emotions, such as it becoming more active when he is happy, or becoming more rigid when he is alerted by something. However, other than this, the limb is very much under the teen’s control. It doesn’t posses the strength to be used as limb such as his arms or legs, but it helps to be able to move it out of harms way.

The teen also possess a large amount of other aesthetical properties that you would align with an white wolf. For example, while his left eye resembles a perfectly normal, brown human eye, the conjunctiva (normally white) of his right eye is in fact black, with an emerald-green iris and black pupil, a rather potent example of heterochromia. As well as this, his nails (both those on his hands and feet) are jet black and significantly tougher than those of a human. Along with these drastically hardened nails, Katsu also possess much harder, longer, and sharper teeth than an average human, all of them surprisingly being a glistening pearl white.

Apart from these features, as numerous as they are, Katsu's body is pretty much identical to a normal humans, albeit a little more 'well built' than average, though he's hardly anything special in terms of physique. While muscles may well be defined to a decent extent, it's not like he's got the body of a body-builder, nor the strength of one. However, the main the main reason he finds himself being so defined is probably not the fact that his muscles are of a big enough extent to make their presence known, but more due to the fact that Katsu possess virtually no body fat whatsoever. The reason behind this is quite simply the amount of running that Katsu finds himself doing, rather than any form of serious muscle building exercise.

As far as clothing goes, not much is consistent since Katsu tries his best to change his clothing whenever possible to avoid identification. Given the little deviation in male clothing in Japan however, this is made rather difficult. As a result, he Katsu simply finds himself wearing some kind of simple Kimono, usually of dull, or common colours so as not to draw too much attention to himself. Obviously, his tail ends up being consistently hidden beneath this clothing, though it ends up being a little too cramped for comfort most times. As well as this rather standard clothing, his feet are adorned by an equally unimpressive pair of Tabi socks and Geta footwear.

In order to hide his ears, Katsu has no other option other than to wear some kind of headgear. Again, he opts for the more common, less elaborate solution and uses a straw hat to conceal his identity, managing to hide all of his hair and ears under the headwear since he intentionally ‘obtains’ them at a size which is too big for his head. Unfortunately, this means that while his more obscure features are covered, his hat can be knocked off quite easily, therefore he ends up holding the rim of his hat as he walks, creating a somewhat shady image. Couple this with the fact that he carries a Wakizashi, and you have more than enough reason to be suspicious of him. Still, there’s not that much else that Katsu can do about that.

Personality|| Contrary to what people may believe, Katsu’s life hasn’t really lead him to become distrusting of humans, to a great extent anyway. Yes, he’s aware that the second he removes his hat in a crowd someone’s going to yell “Ōkami!”, leading the crowd to disperse and for town guards to surround him, but when he thinks the age old thought “what would I do in their position?”, he can’t help but actually feel a little sympathy for them.

As a rule, you’ll find that Katsu is quite the easy-going, care-free, mind-wandering type, something which you can actually pick up quite easily from the tone, and manner of which he speaks. He won’t over-exert himself, or even do much of anything at all if there’s no need to. He’d be quite happy to simply sit and the base of a tree, lie with his back against it and drink Saké all day and watch time go by.

Unfortunately, with the various relentless mobs pursuing him for just as many reasons as there are individuals, he doesn’t really have that as an option. Very often, when he finds himself spending time in a town where he’s managed to keep his identity under wraps, he literally spend his all his time either in a bar, chatting to the more friendly of locals as he joins them for a drink (occasionally even chatting up female bar staff, which has rather differing results each time), or simply just finds a cheap in and simply rests in a bed for hours on end, both due to his nature and due to the fact that he’s most likely been evading his pursuers for a large amount of time.

As suggested by his tendency to simply talk to other humans when the opportunity presents itself, Katsu is far from anti-social, though that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know when it’s best just to shut his mouth. Even if this situation arises however, occasionally he will try his luck and keep talking, as he does have a little bit of a tendency to tease people on the odd occasion, though this would only be in jest. Really, he is quite a nice person, quite willing to help those if he can, physically or emotionally, though he can be just that teensy bit irritating at times when his devilish streak starts to shine through.

As one may expect, Katsu has learnt how to use words very much to his advantage in conversations, both due to the fact that bartering has been one of the things he’s simply had to learn to do in order to survive, and the fact that he has a surprising level of intelligence. No one would expect such a thing from a laid-back ‘demon’, but there’s no arguing with the facts that are before you. It’s probably due to this intelligence that Katsu doesn’t find himself tied down by traditional human morals, but rather very much ends up setting his own, which essentially consist of one, single rule: “Don’t hurt those who don’t deserve it”.

This rule has been the foundation of Katsu’s life for as long as he can remember, and is one of the few things he finds himself truly devoted to. Yes, he’ll on occasion ‘visit’ a farmer’s field to acquire some food, or to the pockets of someone passing by, but he’ll never endanger someone’s life, contrary to the rumours circulating Japan at the moment.

History|| Strangely enough, Katsu doesn’t have a particularly traumatic history, contrary to what many would presume for a being of his nature. Well, actually, he might have, but he doesn’t really seem to recall it. In fact, he doesn’t really seem to recall much of anything. Yes, he remembers the fact that people are hunting him due to the fact that he’s the “big, scary Ōkami”, so he couldn’t just live an independent life within a town, but aside from that, he doesn’t remember much at all. For all he knows, he may well no have actually had a childhood, and was simply dumped into this world as a young teenager.

One thing he does remember, however, is the origin of the aforementioned scars under his ears. Some time ago, the period not being too easy to recall, a much younger, frightened, self-despising Katsu found himself becoming rather sick of his current form. As such, he decided he would remedy the situation by making himself as human as possible, starting with the removal of his ears. Obviously, the young teenager didn’t make too much progress, and instead simply found himself in vast amounts of pain, bleeding to the extent that he eventually found himself passing out, a few minutes from death.

Strangely enough though, the teen eventually found himself coming to with his back propped up against the trunk of a tree, bandages wrapped around his head and note on his lap, written with what appeared to be his own blood.

You may well have a life of hardship before you, but never allow that hardship to distract you from the bigger picture. Life is for living as you are, by your own means. Always remember that.

It took Katsu a little while to decipher the meaning of these words, though after a few minutes of pondering, he felt he had come to some sort of a reasonable conclusion. “Life is for living as you are, by your own means”, in other words, live your own life how you want to. Was cutting his ears off really what he wanted to do? No, of course not. Not just due to the pain, but due to the fact that he himself actually liked the identity he had at the moment. He may well have been different from those populating Japan, very different, but he was happy with that.

Put simply, it was everyone else that seemed to have a problem with him.

After this epiphany, if you will, Katsu slowly began to adopt a life-style more akin to that of which he lives by today. Gradually, he actually gained the confidence to enter towns (keeping his identity under wraps, of course) when he needed to ‘re-stock’, rather than simply relying upon what he could find in the wilds.

While some may argue that he took the “by your own means” section of his note a little too literally, in regards to his semi-regular acts of thievery and laid-back attitude, Katsu would simply argue back that this is merely a bit of give and take between him and humans. If they’re going to chase him down and hunt him, they’ve got not right to complain if he’s to plunder there farms or stalls every now and again. They’re the ones that started this ‘demon-hunt’, so it shouldn’t be too surprising to them if he started to play the demon role a little.

Recently, Katsu’s also started to hear rumours of something simply known as the “Kagami no Ōkami”, a rumour that has him rather interested. A mirror of himself? The sheer thought of this is enough to occupy him for quite a while. Would they be a being like himself, or merely a regular human trying to imitate him? Or possibly even a trap set by the Empire to lure him in? Either way, meeting this ‘mirror’ may well be of his interest, though Katsu has no intent of going out of his way to meet them. If they cross paths, so be it, but he can’t be bothered going on some kind of lead-less demon hunt. If only humans could share his view…

Other|| Nothing really, everything seems to belong in a specific space. Oh, I so totally stole your scars glowing idea by the way XD

When I wrote up her profile I basically just gave her the power of water. Maybe later on in the roleplay she will gain some different, more earthly, brush stroke techniques. Since they are going to contrast so well in personality it might as well be extended into powers XD After reading the description of Katsu's appearance I had the hilarious idea of him throwing a cherry bomb. His expression was all ">:D Aha catch!".

I agree that they'll both be surprised to realize that they are one of the same. Something makes me wanna think that they know each other already because of their aliases but still be shocked that they are actually meeting another XD I have a strange feeling that the mirror wolf may be jealous of the actual wolf because he's just Okami and she's Kagami no Okami.

Whether it's a compliment about her assets or other things she's not one to take compliments. Ruon just can't stand to be complimented. It's brutal XD No doubt some good laughs can be brought on concerning this.

Surprisingly this was the profile I got done. I had some muse by songs from Vast. Excellent music stemmed a character that I actually like XD Don't rush on your profile. Take your time :3

No one is psychologically driven in a rp anymore ; 3 ; It'll be hard to reference Freud in this roleplay though considering the setting takes place many, many years before his time. Yeah Katsu sounds like a very cute name XD It does roll of the tongue extrmely well but it also makes me think of him as some sort of cute chibi wolf character! Alias|| Kagami no Okami or Mirror of the Wolf/God
Age|| Eighteen
Gift|| Ruon has proficient control over the element of water. Specifically she has ‘inherited’ powers from the gods Nuregami, Kasugami, and Michigami. The first of her skills, waterspout, allows her to manipulate and bend water offensively or defensively depending on her need for it. There are two faults to the first gift. The female cannot bend water if there is no water present. It is also cannot be used in dry or humid weather unless there is a larger body of water present. However, if there is water vapour present in the area it seems that she can make water at her will which is completely false. Her gift though is completely useless in droughts.
Her second gift, that being veil of mist, allows her to slow down time around her temporarily. However, with this she can only evade, not attack. This is made possible by charging the molecules of water around her to speed up her movement. It is like the water in the air is pushing her forward. This can also help her walk on pools of water for extended periods of time, so long as her stamina and focus allow for it. Once again it can only be used if there is water vapour. It’s a move rendered useless in droughts or humid weather.
Finally, her last gift of water is guidance. Those whom have a strong connection with her can be physically manipulated using the water in their own bodies. While this isn’t weather dependent she can only use this on living creatures she knows extremely well and put faith in her. When she gets to know a person its like she also gets to know their inner workings (the inside of their physical being).
Besides having three unique water gifts Ruon has been blessed with some physical characteristics that are beyond human. The first of these being smell. Due to her canine self she has a heightened sense of smell. This can be quite a pain if she smells something not so pleasant. When she smells something of that nature she tends to freak out, hiding her nose in her sleeves until she’s away from the odour or it is cleansed. Her hearing has also been heightened by the pair of wolf like ears she’s obtained. The last gift is something well…absurd but funny. Because she possesses a fluffy wolf’s tail she has the ability to convey her emotions in another way. Her tail will wag happily if she’s happy or curl up if she’s threatened or dominantly inclined.
Her stamina and strength are usually used up quickly since it takes a lot of control to be able to manipulate water, especially in a vapour form. When she is losing control or tiring out her body usually shakes, making her hand gestures uneasy. Yes, she controls her powers movement with the use of hand movements. However, she can also control them by the flick of her ears of will of the mind even though both methods lead to inaccuracy or less control. Her tail even becomes a good rhythmic control of her gifts.
Weapon|| In this day in age it’s not uncommon for a lady to be carrying around a weapon for security purposes. Ruon treats it more as a security blanket than an actual weapon to take another’s life. It’s an unusual weapon that looks more like steel disk the middle of it taken out. It has a diameter of about 20 or so centimetres with a blue cloth covering the inside of the steel so it doesn’t cut its user. It is thin too which makes is easily concealable in her kimono. It can be thrown or be held in her hand so she may fight hand to hand combat.
As stated before she rarely uses this weapon. She can barely stand to take the life of an animal’s to eat but understands that she needs to in order to survive.

Appearance|| A picture will replace this horribly written description.
Ruon stands at about 5’2”, possessing a body slimmed down with some muscle tone to it. Her skin is fair and smooth, often compared to a peach’s texture. Her hair reaches just above her shoulders, closer to the base of her neck, straight and midnight black in colour. Her bangs are rather unkempt but usually cover the right half of her face. This can vary depending how she flips her hair. In light it seems to have a blue shimmer to it, mimicking a lake at midnight under a full moon. Sometimes when her hair becomes bothersome, she ties it back into a messy bun, leaving the bangs and front ends out. The most dominant features on her face would be her eyes and a small scar that runs down her right eye and along the cheek to her chin. Her eyes are simply captivating. They look similar to the deep ocean floor, glimmering when water reflects off them. They tend to act as mirrors since, when you look upon them, you do not see a pupil but a crisp reflection of yourself.

Ruon possesses many oddities in her appearance. First would have to be two medium sized, pointed ears. They are black in colour to match her hair colour. They resembles that of a wolf. Her nails are slightly sharper than the average human too. To complete the unusual look she has a somewhat fluffy, raven black wolf tail. It is silky smooth to the touch but is usually hidden by a cloak. The tail itself is about 30 inches in length. Her wolf ears are usually hidden by ribbons, a cap or the hood of her cloak.

As for attire Ruon is rather plain in wardrobe. Before she was on the run the kimono she wore was a cute light teal with a dark viridian petal pattern. Do to being on the run it had faded into an off white, the petals becoming considerably lighter as well. The kimono’s length was even cut short, barely covering her upper thighs anymore. The ribbon that ties it all together has become torn as well, giving her a rather beaten look. The sleeves are shred at the ends but still extend past her fingers. She also wears a long black cloak to conceal her identity, giving her some deadly appeal. Ruon does not wear any shoes or socks, finding it very uncomfortable since her toe nails have also become long.

Ruon doesn’t possess any unique accessories besides the dog collar she wears around her neck. Originally it was a cruel joke made by past foes when she was younger but now it is a constant reminder of why she runs and fights today. It is usually is hidden by a black neckerchief which can also be worn on her head to cover her ears.

To complete her odd appearance the scar on her face has an odd neon glow to it when she uses her water gifts. The more she uses the gift the brighter it glows.

Personality|| Due to a life of hardship and seemingly impossible obstacles, Ruon’s personality has been shaped in a way that can be viewed as defensive. She has a cold streak which can sometimes involve shouting insults when uncalled for or even giving silent treatments. She has a foul temper about her to conceal feminine insecurities. Even though it can be cute when she starts flailing her arms, shouting about how that was the wrong this to do, she has a nasty tongue. She doesn’t have any boundaries when it comes to yelling or insulting another. Sometimes she can be down right vicious and strip you of your dignity and anything else you considered dear.

She often plays as the independent girl who doesn’t need anyone. She takes measure into her own hand and never asks for help, even when the situation looks dire. She doesn’t like to give in or give up either. She will stop at nothing to accomplish a task even if it means beating another till death.

She is very stubborn and seems to have a prejudices against the opposite gender. If she had a male companion she’d probably smack them around. Sometimes a punch on the arm or a slap upside the head. Pulling ears and cheeks also gets her, her own way. When it comes to female companions she’s rather off put by them. She doesn’t understand their sweetness and dislikes when they talk about girly things such as flowers or boys. Love is another subject she doesn’t like to dislike. To her it’s private and a dead feeling.

This adolescent also can be a sore loser. She cannot stand losing, especially in an argument. She likes to be right and refuses to admit she’s wrong. When she is right she tends to gloat about it to make herself feel better. She can become quite aggressive when playing games. She always seems to have to prove herself in anything she does. She needs to be victorious; she needs to be right.

Ruon has a bad habit of taking things too literally. She doesn’t understand jokes and often gets frustrated when she can’t get them. She doesn’t laugh a whole lot either. This can make her appear too serious. However, it’s cute when she gives you the ‘I don’t get it face’. It’s like a blank stare with her mouth slightly ajar, like she has been stunned momentarily. If you take notice of this face and mention it to her she grows aggressive and tends to tug on your face.

Even though Ruon seems violent and cold and temperament she can be a sweetheart and a true girl if you allow her to be. She has a soft side for anything fluffy, especially dogs. When she sees a dog she will smother them in love and affection. She tends to speak to them in a softer, slightly higher pitched, voice which others call the ‘baby voice’. She cannot resist cute things which brings out her girly side. When she notices this she will 180 and become aggressive.

When she cares about someone she has odd ways of going about it. Like a canine she has a constant need for approval from those she cares about. She will go out of her way to find odd gifts such as ‘pretty rocks’ or flowers to give even if they look or smell completely off. It is cute though because she doesn’t like to be thanked and often gets defensive when you mention her trying to be nice. She can even get a little snarky. She also doesn’t take compliments to well. She likes to either shrug them off or deny them.

Like any girl she has numerous insecurities she doesn’t like to share. She’s extremely good at keeping them secret. You can prod all you’d like and still get no where. Also, she doesn’t like crying to. Even in an immense amount of pain she refuses to cry. She’ll bite her bottom lip and carry on. She will get even though with those who hurt her or people she cares about.

Regardless if she is quick to aggravate and fight she does think critically about her actions, while she does them of course. She’s quick on her feet and a rapid thinker. She’s brutally honest and will tell you when something is a bad idea.

All around she’s your average teenager…maybe…not at all…

History|| This isn’t something Ruon likes to discuss with anyone. It’s reason why she’s so aggressive and defensive. It’s a past filled exploitation and lies, deceit and betray.

Ruon would have been considered a very beautiful baby when she was brought into the world if only she hadn’t come out with tiny ears and a tail. While other family members were ashamed of these deformities her parents were loving and accepting of them. They refused to allow them to be cut off, assuming they were a gift from the heavens.

She grew up in a poor family, born to a farmer and his wife. She was an only child, the three before her all died shortly after birth. This was also part of the reason why her parents were so protective. She was the only child to survive after birth, a miracle that pushed her parents further into believing she was a gift from the gods.

Despite being poor, and being called the wolf girl in her village, she grew up happily until about age twelve. It was then a man with an odd fox mask arrived at the door. He had a proposition for her parents. He was asking to buy Ruon from her parents. He was going to pay a large sum of money the family had never even see before. It was tempting, more tempting than the miracle they had been given.

Seeing the distress in her parents eyes, along with the greed, she answered for them. She allowed herself to be purchased. Her parents didn’t stop her from going with the man hiding behind the fox mask. No, no, they took the money without even putting up a dispute.

She was bought and taken into the main city. It was there she was to be trained as a circus act of sorts for the upper class. She was taught to do all sorts of tricks dogs usually performed. Sitting, barking, chasing her tail, jumping through a hoop, she did all these things. It brought quite a riot of laughter whenever the higher ups saw her perform. She was dragged around by a leash and collar by the man in the fox mask.

This act between her and the fox man continued for many years. They would travel from city to city to perform. She was transported in a cage, bound and all. Even though she went willingly she was treated like a wild animal. She’d even listen obediently and still be treated as if she would strike at any time. They would even prod her with sticks if they felt she was misbehaving or not following her cues accurately. Food and other necessities were often withheld too. It was all wearing down on her mentally and physically. She was hitting her breaking point.

She finally hit that breaking point when she hit sixteen. After exhausting her performance across Japan they were going to bring her to Europe and other continents in hopes she would be a hit over there. The sound of leaving Japan was extremely terrifying and she refused to go. She wanted to escape but had no idea how. She was always guarded, always being watched.

She slept on a plan for many nights until something…strange…had overwhelmed her. During a dream she was met by three animals, one of which she did not recognize, that told her things she did not understand. They had told her that she was more than she appeared. She was locking up what would set her free. It was in a dream she was bestowed three gifts, all relating to the element of water. When she woke up she suddenly knew what she had to do and so she began her escape.

How she escaped is too bloody for words but incomplete. The man in the fox mask had escaped without even a scratch and is now somewhere in Japan. She now travels Japan perfecting her gifts and hunting the man who had treated her inhumanly.

In the two years of hunting, occasionally being spotted with ears and tail revealed, she has been bestowed the name of Mirror of the Wolf/God. This name sprouts from two main reasons. The first is the assumption that those with gifts are imitations or mirror images of Gods or because her features are strikingly similar to a wolf. Her eyes also have a mirror like appearance which continue to support her alias.

Recently she's heard rumours of there being a similar identity to her. He or she simply goes by the name of Okami. Immediately after hearing these rumours she mentally vowed to give them a beating. There was no way she could be the mirror of some other Okami. While Okami has become a second priority to find it takes a major back seat to the man in the fox mask.

Other|| Besides having a soft side for fluffy things Ruon has taken on a fault all dogs have. She loves to be scratched behind her ears. She will become brain dead and surrounded in bliss. It’s a fault that can be easily taken advantage of, especially when she’s angry. The moment she gets scratched behind the ears she immediately stops being angry. She does grow quite embarrass when she snaps to and realizes what happened though…even gets a little angry.

Hmm, there's another way the two differ. While Katsu has a couple of elemental powers, his mastery of them is significantly lower than Ruon's, though Ruon only has one power. Perhaps once we reach the point where Ruon starts to realise her potential when it comes to Earth-manipulation, Katsu can also begin to get that bit more adept when it comes to controlling his powers? Man, the possiblities two conflicting characters create... it's just endless . Well then, looks like I put across Katsu's intended personality pretty well then. He'll come out with stuff like that pretty often in a combat situation, or any other time when talk like that just doesn't seem appropriate. Actually, wait a minute, he's just always like that XD

Well, I've gone ahead and stated that Katsu has heard of Ruon in the final edit I just made (well, by her alias anyway), so it's up to you whether or not she's heard of Katsu. I've got a fair idea of how Katsu's gonna react upon realising that it's in fact his 'mirror' that he's just taken hostage, and I've gotta say, it's gonna be rather unremarkable :P

"Would'ya look at that, you've got wolf ears too. If I'm honest, I would've thought you'd have been a different animal. Didn't really expect a pretty lady such as yourself either . Anyway, nice ta meet you Miss 'Mirror'."

Maybe how Katsu's so laid back despite his position could be stacked ontop of the potential jealousy, creating a true love-hate relationship or something? Just throwing a few suggestions out there.

Oh yes, laughs will be had, even if it is just Katsu doing his best to supress his laughs but failing miserably XD

Well, I've got his profile done now anyway. I think I'll take a little break before I get onto the profile of my next character, though I'll probably end up starting it later today. Thankfully, with her being a human character, I won't have too much additional detail to go into appearance wise, so this one shouldn't take anywhere near as long.

Even if it didn't even reference Freud himself, I'd love to see the slips applied into RPs. Everyone just seems unwilling to ever let their characters make mistakes in their RPs

Hehe, well if Ruon ever comes out and says his name is cute, don't expect him to forget that so easily. He'll bring it up out of the blue every now and then, despite the slaps upside the face and cheek tugging he'll inevitably get XD.

O: I've never had anyone draw one of my characters, I would certainly be honoured if you ever did so. I had a look at your DA page when you linked it to the GIFTed OOC, and I've gotta say I'm impressed.

No way is your description horribly written. I've got an image of her pretty clear in my head, but at the same time, I can't wait to see this picture of Ruon.

Well lookie here XD It be awesome if they grow together during the experience. We'll have to see how the roleplay fans out since I want the growth to be natural. Even though I got the hilarious image of a level up when she pulls Katsu's face or smacks him in general. I think this scenario is sprouting too many cute chibi pictures XD I assumed though that Katsu would be somewhat of a show off, something he'll definately get yelled at for.

I've done the edit as well because it be nice to set up the situation XD She gets taken hostage by the one she mirrors and she loses it! With all this bad blood it'll be interesting how they're going to end up staying together. For some reason I can see it being Ruon just being a typical stalker, attacking when she thinks she has the chance and then Katsu being an ellusive 'ass-hat'.

Omg her response to that killed me inside XD Lawl. Too much laughter.

"Who you calling miss mirror?! If anything you're no wolf. You're just a cheap copy cat!" And then she'll probably try to claw his eyes out if say he's holding onto her by her kimono or something. XD It's like one of those childish attempts but you hold them back my placing your hand on their forehead.

Once again we'll just have to see what the roleplay flow sparks XD Such opposite personalities might take a long while to spark a lovey-dovey relationship XD

I assumed Katsu would be one of those types to bring back 'painful memories' of the name XD Anything that he can hold her to he'll use. I also found it funny that she's 1 year younger than him so the whole her mirroring him could be another thing to hold against her. "You have to be the mirror because you're younger."

I hate when people can't let their characters mess up. It's soooo unrealistic D: I love giving my characters flaws, especially in personality. Slip ups happen quite often too considering the numerous flaws lead up to them. Like seriously people you mess up all the time so why can't your characters?

Fffff for some reason I want to change her hair style. Short, uneven pigtails of sorts. Still same colour but I think she needs a feminine touch to her. Her name is something unlikely for me to pick. It's rather...not feminine XD But it was fitting for her.

And omg you stole the glowy scars XD bfhbgdbgdhbdhf!!! I don't mind XD It be awesome to picture them glowing in the dark, using their powers in battle. Oh look, a night light! XDDD I was thinking of giving her more scars so she'd be more glowy. For now they'll probably all be hidden due to her clothing.

As for my other two characters they'll probably come a bit later. I have appearances for them picked out but sadly no personality. Something makes me think the female is too much of a chicken to be a samurai and the male is reckless and bold, someone Katsu could drink with even though they're suppose to be enemies XD

Yup, it would indeed be awesome. Natural growth’s agiven, far too often do I see people in, say, Gijinka RPs giving their characters the ability to use Hyper Beam three posts into the RP, when they could only use Tackle upon starting. The sad part about that is the fact that I’m not even joking…

I just can’t stop thinking of Katsu giving some big thumbs up as he says “Hey, I levelled up! ” Or something now. Too much Tales of Vesperia, Raven in particular…

Wait, so she’s going to be trying to kill him? I more imagined her being along the lines of “Ugh, I better tail you and make sure you don’t do anything stupid. Now that you know about me, it’ll only make my situation worse if you get caught”, or something like that anyway.

To which, she’d get something along the lines of “Aww, now you’ve gone and hurt this young man’s feelings… whoa, wait a sec, how can I be the copy-cat? Lookin’ at ya, I’d be sayin’ you’re the young’un out of the two of us.”

He may be an idiot, but he’s a perceptive idiot. Ruon best not go forgetting that. And yes, holding back Ruon with a hand to the forehead most definitely would be something he’d do :P

Doesn’t matter how long it takes, or if it ever happens really. The personality clash between the two of them is more than good enough for me, but a little bit of sexual tension further down the line would hardly be a bad thing. Maybe we’ll just have to create an incident at some point which brings the two a little closer. Not like some kind of daft ‘lovey–dovey’ moment, but more one that shows that the pair actually give a damn about keeping the other alive, for whatever reason.

Well, he won’t hold it to her for the fact that it’s painful, he’ll merely bring stuff up if it leads to a situation that he’ll find amusing.

I feel exactly the same way. To be perfectly honest though, I often find myself actually forgetting to implement mistakes. I mean, I don’t have a problem having my characters making them, but it’s just remembering to have them make them that is more of the problem.

From what I’ve seen, you certainly manage to get something accomplished. Coming from someone with next to no experience with this sort of thing, it may not mean much to you, but I find it awesome ^^

Thankfully I haven't experienced anything like that in a roleplay. They always had ungodly powers right off the bat. It was really annoying cause their ungodliness would easily take advantage of my character's flaws. I had to quit roleplaying for a while on one forum I was at because it was just tooo much DX I was like EITHER GET SOME FLAWS OR COUNT ME OUT!

I don't think she'd ever kill him but threaten to. I think that be typical of a violent girl. The original motive was probably kill him but after meeting him it'll probably turn into a "Okay because you're an idiot I have to watch you before you make us both look stupid." Besides, I think I mentioned she can't kill cute and fluffy creatures. If he flaunts his tail she might go into a girly petting spree :x The only true person she'd kill would be the man in the fox mask if we ever implement him in.

I think Ruon would spaz if she got a response like that XD "Who are you calling young'un?! I'm probably ten times more mature and twenty years older mentally!" Something childish in a rage fit.

Hmmm I agree. A little sexual tension never hurt anything :3 I can see this incident occuring and then maybe some time after Katsu 'ruining' the whole thing by saying "Ha ha you think I'm cuuuttteee and you liiikkkeee me~ ;D" Ruon would completely spazz but I think it would bring them even closer together if one of them acknowledges that there's something there. Don't expect Ruon to admit it though. XD

Yeah that sometimes happens to the good roleplayers I find. When they remember though it becomes gold <3 When I do my character profiles I often try to make sure there's something in their that makes them flawed. I think Ruon's nasty temper is her biggest flaw along with her stubborness. Then again both flaws can lead to good things in the end. I guess it just depends on how everything is viewed XD

I thought it be nice for Katsu to have someone to drink with XD Ruon could probably be pressured into it maybe once or twice but I don't think she's the kind of girl to get loose. I think having my male character and Katsu as drinking buddies would lead to the best dramatic irony X3 Especially when I see the female companions mentioning to each other that their suppose to be enemies XD

Hmm, she sounds pretty complex, but at the same time, not so much. Eventually, I imagine Katsu will be able to figure her out though, when he does you’d better expect some semi-regular exploitation, particularly in the fluffy tail department XD

I imagine implementing him at some point couldn’t really be anything other than a good thing. Maybe that could be the thing that brings them a little closer together? Fox-mask man tracks Ruon down, stuff happens, Katsu ends up helping Ruon get her revenge, leaving the masked man to her disposal? Something like that?

Amusing childish fit of rage is amusing, Katsu would have to try his best not to laugh at Ruon while she’s acting like that.

Nah, Katsu would just act totally oblivious, even though at the same time it’ll be completely obvious that he’s clicked on. “Huh, wazzat? You’re not quite makin’ your usual sense Ru, almost sounds like you’re tryin’ ta say somethin’ but not really quite gettin’ there.” Oh God, I’m gonna love RPing as Katsu, he’s just a pure wind-up merchant XD. Meh, I don’t really expect her to acknowledge it to be honest, though the way that Katsu’ll acknowledge it will most likely be any way other than directly, as you probably would’ve expected.

With Katsu, I'd say his biggest flaw is probably his drinking. While he puts the idiotic front of his up quite a lot, his mind is actually taking things rather seriously at all times, hence his perceptiveness. I imagine that when Ruon figures this out, she's only gonna get that much more annoyed with him, since even though he can full well act mature, he really just can't be bothered to XD

That's understandable, when real-life takes ahold there's not that much you can do about it really, especially when there's a job involved.

Well, the always the vulnerability of a first time drinker (if this would end up being Ruon’s first time), going straight to Sake would be more than enough to get her quite tipsy before she even realises it. Oh yes, lectures regarding drinking buddies would be awesome. I predict a lot of “who do you think you are, my mother?”s XD

I assumed it would have been the drinking XD Drinking can be the flaw in any good character. I can’t wait to see how Ru, as you’re calling her X3, acts when she’s drunk. It’ll be her first drink. When she wakes up from the hangover I know they’ll both get she’ll probably get so agitated with him XD Anyways she’ll probably nag him concerning his maturity level. “You need to grow up Katsu!” Will probably be thrown around a lot or “Be a man!” or even “Your such a boy…” She’s a little gender bias that way.

My hours are being cut back the next two weeks. I’m not impressed but appreciative at the same time. The more hours at work I get the more I feel my relationship with everyone is falling apart, especially my boyfriend.

Awww poor Ru XD She’s going to get teased so hardcore for looking young and being younger. She may chew his head off and either insult his manliness or call him an older geezer. The first one seems more likely. Her outfit may end up changing too. It all depends where my drawing muse will take me. I’ll probably go as far as making her a character reference sheet. She feels like she’s going to be a permanent character to add to my list.

Perhaps o: I just think it be a prettier fight scene if they both had a large amount of glow. It could also end up being a flaw in their powers. They can’t be that stealthy if they are glowing all the time :x Yesh love bites XDDD Lawl! Ru is going to have so many nicknames in this roleplay! It’s hard to think of one for Katsu because it’s already a nice nickname. But Baka or Ass might be frequently used enough to become nicknames :x

I imagine that the two confessing while under the influence will be the most likely way, most likely after some kind of major event, possibly after the masked man gets his ass kicked/stabbed/asploded. Ru’s gonna be one of Katsu’s less potentially offensive nicknames for Ruon, it’s not just something that I’ve started to refer to her as. Really, he’s going to call her by so many names, I think I’ll have to make a dedicated section to that notepad file I was going on about earlier XD Yeah, I figured the maturity insults would be among the major ones being thrown around. They’re not going to be taken too seriously, just like everything else.

First time I’ve heard someone complaining about their hours being cut back, but yeah I guess I know understand where you’re coming from.

Oh hell yeah she is! Not jus that, literally anything Katsu can get his hands on he will use to tease her, though he won’t literally be teasing her 24/7. He does have a bit of lazy streak hidden in there, so while it will be a common thing, teasing won’t be literally the only thing he’ll ever do.

Hmm, stealthiness may be a bit of a problem if they’re all glowy and shiz. Still, maybe they could dazzle their opponents to death? XD I’d go with Baka, it’s befitting of the Japan theme XD

Meh, I wouldn’t go feeling so sorry for me. The three girls I’m with this year I actually know, so all will be awesome. While I am aware I may well get teased something stupid once or twice, I think I’ll be able to hold my ground

What, why would she freak? If it’s skinned, it’s no longer fluffy, right? XD While I like the idea of the pair befriending an animal, I think them having a pet may be taking things a little too far. How about an animal which seems to simply pop up on a semi-regular basis, kind of like a recurring character? If you want, I could have this as my third character, along with the girl that’s all but a Samurai?

To be honest, the fox masked man will really have to do something downright horrible to get on Katsu’s nerves, I mean, he doesn’t even feel any hatred towards the people chasing him. Yeah, he finds it to be a bit annoying, but he’s not particularly agitated by it.

As long as Japan can sustain itself, Katsu will have the means to sustain himself and Ruon. Trust him, he won’t have too much hassle getting what the pair needs, though he may need just that little bit of motivation to get going.

Hey, if she actually plans on well and truly biting his head, then I’m afraid one day Katsu is well and truly gonna flip at her. He won’t bat an eye-lid for a while, but if this becomes constant, there’s gonna be harsh words, maybe even the odd fireball…

Oh and don't consider those spots as character limits O: I just put them there cause it looks nicer and saves me from laziness in the future. Up to you if you wanna be a pet XD I don't mind.

Ah right, we were already on a similar wavelength. That helps a fair amount. Yeah, something tells me it may well end up taking a little more of a liking to Ruon that it will to Katsu, people don’t tend to like those that try to skin them, I doubt it’s too dissimilar for animals

Oh I’m not at all, I was merely thinking about what I could potentially use as characters. The thought of it actually interests me to be fair, but I’m still not all too sure on what sort of animal the pet should be, and obviously it’d have to be something you agree with. Obviously it’s got to be something fluffy, but a Rabbit just seems to-

You’ll figure something out eventually. Like all people, Katsu has those little things that piss him off, they’re just that bit fewer in number.

Most likely, for the most part, ignore Ruon’s request until she gets to her hitty-yelly point. After that, well, plundering farmers fields and stalls in a covert manner of course

Ah, yelling a smacking is a little more bearable, since there’s generally much less bleeding involved. Hehe, I can’t wait for the moment when Katsu turns around and finally stands up for himself. Chances are though, that’ll only happen if he’s already agitated about something.
