Before you get thrown off by all the spoilers, I will just say that if you dun want to read the intro, you'll get along fine without it... it just shows a little of how humans react to vampires. X3

Five years before the start of the roleplay

The girl ran through the streets, trying to get out of the city before anyone found her. Her lavender eyes darted back and forth. Why had she been stupid enough to go out alone? She knew the terrors that lurked in the night, and now she was one of them...

Someone stepped out of an alley in front of her, and she screamed. The man looked at her. "Talia?" he asked. "Is that you?"

Talia lowered her eyes, hoping he wouldn't realize. "Hi..."

"There's something different about your voice," the man said, and Talia flinched. It was true; her voice was softer, more melodious, like the song of a nightingale.

"There's nothing different," she argued, wincing at the sound of her new voice. The man raised an eyebrow, looking suspicious. "Let me see your eyes, Talia."

Talia shook her head. "No..."

"Talia." The man's voice was stern. "Your eyes."

Reluctantly, Talia raised her head. The man staggered back at the sight of her blazing violet irises. "You're not Talia...!" he exclaimed.

Talia's eyes widened. "I am! I'm still Talia!" she said, fear making her sweet voice go up an octave. "You have to believe me, I didn't want this...!"

"None of us want it!" the man exclaimed. He pulled a gun from his back pocket. "None of us want you. You're an abomination, a traitor to your race! A traitor to US!"

Talia took a step back. "No, I'm not--"

The man aimed the gun, straight at her frozen heart. "Do you have anything to say for yourself?!"

"I'm sorry!" Talia exclaimed, terrified. "I didn't want..." Her eyes widened as the man's finger rested on the trigger. "Stop, Dad!!"

The gunshot rang out, waking all the dogs for a mile around. Their cries rose to the moon and the blanket of stars covering the sleepy town. When the town woke the next morning, Talia and her father were gone; just two more disappearances in a war that had taken thousands.

It is January of the year 2011. Vampires and humans have been natural enemies for as long as either race can remember; however, up until 11 years ago, humans did not know for a fact that vampires truly existed. Now it has been confirmed, and humans have waged war on their enemy species. Vampires have been forced out of human settlements and into their own small groups. In an attempt to defend themselves against the ferocious onslaught, vampires have struck back against the humans. Some vampires choose to kill the humans they encounter. Others choose to transform them so that they might fight in the war as well. Still others have attempted to remove themselves from all human contact, or attempted to end the war. These peaceful vampires don't usually last long...

So now you have a choice. Will you fight with the humans in a war to destroy a threat to your species, or will you join the vampires in an attempt at self-defense against the vicious onslaught of the humans? Only you can decide...

The humans in the roleplay are part of a new settlement called Greenwood, intended to be used as a peaceful settlement for people who want to get away from the war. Of course, several skilled fighters joined the settlement for its protection, as nothing turns out as it should.

Which was the case with Greenwood. Very quickly, the humans figured out that the vampire city of Katharos was located nearby. Frightened by their proximity to their enemies, the humans attacked Katharos, hoping to destroy the vampires. Of course, that was not the case. The vampires struck back hard, and did their best to cut off the humans' communication. They succeeded in shutting down all communication methods into and out of the city, and the vampires have contacted another nearby outpost, instructing them to keep human reinforcements away from Greenwood. The humans' supplies are limited to what they brought with them and anything they can salvage from the Dead City nearby, a once-wealthy town that was destroyed by the vampires of Katharos before the war began. As for food, they have whatever they can find in the woods or grow themselves. For water they have an amazingly clean river nearby, which was kept from being polluted by the vampires' constant efforts. Many humans have lost hope of survival, some even attempting to flee the village. Many unexplained disappearances have occurred, resulting in a widespread fear of the things lurking in the night. Be careful that you do not become one of them...

The vampires known now are not the things of myth, which burn in sunlight and can be repelled by garlic. They are also not the fantastical vampires with amazing strength, superior beauty, and stone skin. The true vampires look and mostly act human. The only visible differences are in their eyes. When a human is transformed into a vampire, their eyes change to reflect their personality. While humans have simple browns, blues, and greens, vampires' eyes branch out into golds, silvers, purples, reds, and some have mixes or blends of several colors. Another noticeable difference is in their speed. A vampire's speed and reflexes are slightly more advanced than a human's, though not by far. Vampires also have improved night vision and no need for sleep, though many newly-transformed vampires sleep anyway as a way to retain their humanity.

However, vampires also have weaknesses. Though their hearts are frozen, they are still vulnerable. They also breathe as well as think. Therefore, humans have assumed that vampires' three main weaknesses are their hearts, lungs, and skulls. Several various tests have shown that a bullet to any of these three areas will kill a vampire instantly, as well as any sharp object made of iron. The vampires always do their best to protect themselves, but it is not always easy; especially for the vampires of Katharos, who had planned to live in peace, away from the war. They have been forced to strike back against the humans yet again, and have made every attempt to weaken their enemies so they can have an easier victory. However, many of them are against the war, and little over half the population of Katharos are actually fighting the humans of Greenwood. The other half are pacifists, or former residents of Greenwood who were transformed against their will and refuse to fight. Many of these peaceful vampires have fled Katharos, fearing for their life. The leaders of the vampire army in Katharos have been attempting to rid the town of 'dirty blood' vampires, or those that refuse to fight the humans. For many, the choice is fighting or death.

So, that's the basics of it. Rules and sign-up sheets will be in the next post.

Appearance: Talia is not the tallest, but she is very slim. She stands at 5'4" and weighs only 110 pounds. She has slightly paler skin than normal, and her deep purple eyes stand out from her heart-shaped face. Her face is framed by her light brown wavy hair, usually head back by a black-and-white lacy headband.

For clothes, Talia usually wears a white frilly dress wwith a black lacy jacket overtop, and a choker collar that matches her headband. The choker has a black rose attached to it. Her dress's skirt goes about to her knees and flares out a little at the bottom. She wears small black shoes on her feet and white stockings. Talia never carries a weapon, as she tries to be peaceful.

Personality: Talia is very shy and timid, never liking to speak to other people when it isn't necessary. She tends to go off on her own a lot, preferring solitude to being surrounded by people. As such, she has never had many friends, and since almost her entire life has been inside the war, she has lived in a world of violence. She hates violence, and only uses as much as necessary when necessary, always trying to avoid that final option. She is always aware of the ways she is different from other people, and tries to compensate for those differences so that she can always be the "lesser being" in any circumstance.

Talia currently has very confused emotions. On the one hand, she was originally a human, and still feels as though she has a duty to the human race. On the other hand, she has a new home among the vampires, and Maximus has been very nice to her. She feels a loyalty to him as well, since he was the one that helped her get adjusted after she was transformed. He has been very sympathetic to her as well, and almost reminds her of her father. She is still unsure if she should entirely trust him, however.

History: Talia was always very quiet and shy. She never really spoke to anyone except her dad. She told him everything--howe she felt about the war, what she thought should happen, and what she thought people should be like. Her dad always encouraged her opinions and helped her to see what her goal was and how to move towards that goal. She always respected him for that, and he became the only person she trusted.

When Talia was ten, she and her father moved to Greenwood. A few months later, the people of Greenwood discovered that Katharos, the vampires' main city, was nearby. Talia and her father tried to stay out of the war, living as well as they could without irritating anyone. However, that couldn't last; one night, when Talia was out alone, she met a vampire in a dark alley. She couldn't see his face or hear him clearly, so she didn't know who he was at first. She thought he was just another traveler and started talking to him. However, she soon realized what he was. She started to panic and attempted to get away, but then suddenly he was blocking the end of the alleyway. He bit her on the neck, transforming her quickly and painlessly, and then disappeared.

Talia made her way through the city, attempting to get out, but she met her dad just before the city limits. He realized what she had become very quickly, and just as quickly he turned on her, calling her a traitor to humans. He attempted to shoot her. However, when Talia heard the gunshot, she didn't feel the pain. To her shock, her dad was laying face-down on the ground, the gun a few feet away. A charming young man with scarlet eyes was standing over him. He extended a hand to Talia. "Come," he ordered her. Confused and afraid, she took his hand, and he carried her off to Katharos. He introduced himself as Maximus Salvatore, the leader of the vampires of Katharos. At first she was afraid of him, and she drew back, but he quickly convinced her that he was not to be feared. They talked a lot, and he was always sympathetic to everything she had to say. She didn't notice it, but he subtly encouraged her more violent feelings toward her father and the rest of humanity. She felt betrayed and angry, and she felt like her father was the traitor, not her. Maximus encouraged this and told her that she didn't need him anymore, as she had a new family.

Talia came to admire Maximus. Though he showed very little emotion with others, Talia could tell that he had a softer side, and that he cared about her and what happened to her. He reminded her of what her father had once been--what he should have been. He accepted her for who she was, and always cared about what she had to say. Talia grew to truly care about Maximus as well. However, she hides these feelings, as she doesn't want to distract him.

Other: She's confused. She doesn't want to fight in the war, but she's upset with humans and she likes the vampires so far... XD

Who's that Pokemon? Being the creator of this roleplay, I don't find it necessary to answer this, as people could copy my answer.

Age: 18/658

Appearance: Maximus has a very imposing figure, standing at 6'6". He always wears a dark jacket and dark pants with a white T-shirt. Through time, his skin has turned pale, making him stand out from humans and truly look like the terrifying Prince of the Night from myths. Though he appears young, Maximus is also very frightening to those who have never met him--and he likes it that way.

Maximus has several weapons hidden in various places. He has one longsword at his belt and two twin swords sheathed in an X pattern on his back. The inside of the left part of his jacket contains a hidden sheath for his pistol. He also wear black fingerless gloves that conceal the steel gloves he wears underneath, to make his punches quite lethal. And of course, he also has his teeth, which are effective weapons against the humans in themselves.

Personality: Though he was transformed young, Maximus is very charismatic and ruthless, and extremely manipulative. He learned on the streets at a young age to manipulate the human mind and make them think they wanted the same goal as him. The ones who he could not manipulate, he learned were easily persuaded by threats and violent behavior. As a vampire his skills have developed even further, and he is more cold-hearted and persuasive than ever. He hides any true emotion he feels behind an impassive mask and never shows any affection for anyone.

Maximus has turned his dark skills to turning newborn vampires to their cause. He has purposefully targeted younger humans for this, especially females, as he has found that their minds are weaker, and they are more willing to believe his words. Once he transforms the young human, he retreats to a place where they cannot see him and lets them find their way out of the city, testing their survival skills. If they successfully make it out of the city and into the wilderness, he finds them and welcomes them into Katharos, acting sympathetic towards them and helping them by giving them a new home and anything else they may desire. When he is sure they trust him, he invites them to join the vampire army, telling them that no humans will accept them now, and their only hope for survival is to fight back. To his great amusement, most of them believe him. He has used this method almost flawlessly to create new vampire soldiers for ten years now.

History: Maximus once lived in the thriving human settlement of Spring Valley with his father, step-mother, and two younger sisters. His mother had died giving birth to him, so he had never known her. His father re-married when he was four years old, and his younger twin sisters were born when he was six. Though he loved the girls and always wanted to protect them, he also felt as if they and their mother were afraid of him. He would say something too strange, or his skin would be too pale, or he would answer a question too quickly. It frightened them. He spent much of his time away from home, trying to find someone, anyone, who would accept him. He searched for months and months, but never found anyone who accepted him without some persuasion. When he was eight, he learned that if he was to talk to anyone, he would have to force them to like him. He became ruthless and persuasive, often turning to violence when he didn't get what he wanted. Very soon he was respected and feared by everyone in the town. However, he still longed for someone who would understand, someone who was like him.

On his eighteenth birthday, he finally found that person. Matthias Salvatore found him alone on the streets at night and talked with him for a while. Matthias was very witty and very persuasive, and soon Maximus had grown to like the older man. When Matthias revealed the truth about the vampires, Maximus was ready to believe anything he said. He willingly allowed Matthias to transform him, and went with him to Katharos. He lived there for ten years, training and hunting extremely succesfully. However, it was not to last; Matthias informed him that the vampires of Katharos had plans to destroy Spring Valley. In a sudden panic, Maximus returned to the city and found his father and sisters. He warned them of the attack, and begged them to come with him, to allow themselves to be changed so that they might survive. To his shock and confusion, none of them agreed. His sisters were cowering by the end of his speech, and his father merely looked disgusted. His father drove him from the house, accusing him of being a traitor and a fool. In anger, and not for the first time crying, he left the city again and returned to Katharos. He aided Matthias in the destruction of Spring Valley, which they renamed the Dead City. However, Maximus gave the other vampires orders to have his father and sisters remain alive. Matthias accused him of being weak, and how connections with humans were dangerous, but Maximus ignored him. When his father and sisters were found, he asked them one more time to contemplate his offer. When met again with their refusal, Maximus leapt at his sisters and destroyed them, having his father forced to watch. He turned to his father once more. Their eyes met, and then Maximus killed him.

Matthias applauded him on his bravery, but Maximus still remembered the old vampire's rejection. That night he took his sword and stabbed the vampire in the heart, taking his surname and his place of power for his own. Maximus became the new leader of the vampires. When the humans settled in Greenwood, Maximus at first told the vampires to blend in with society and gain information on the humans. However, the humans quickly realized the vampires' presence, and launched an attack. Maximus ordered a counterattack and found a way to cut off the humans' communications, even contacting another vampire city and requesting for them to keep reinforcements away. He then led various hunting parties into the city at various times, using his techniques to ensure that the new vampires were on their side. His most recent conquest was a girl named Talia. He has spent more time with her than with the other newborns, with the excuse that she is more difficult to persuade than the others. However, his true reason is that she is how he always imagined his mother to be--strong-willed and pure, and true to her family. He does not show it, but he is developing an affection for the younger girl.

Other: Basically, he's the leader of the vampires. His word is law in Katharos. And if you call him Max, you die. You are to address him as Maximus or Lord Salvatore.

Appearance: Roxxy is about average height for her age at 5'10". She wears her raggedly cut black hair down to the middle of her back, with fairly long bangs that sweep over her forehead to one side. They usually have a blue streak in them that extends through her hair and fades to red. Her eyes, by contrast, are bright bright blue.

She has a thin body type, but don't mistake her for weak. Her muscles are strong and stringy, and she always walks with a purpose, as if the world revolves around her. She has a strong pointed nose and dark eyebrows permanently curved mischievously. Her lips are rather thin, but always smiling, revaling slightly crooked front teeth.

Roxxy would never wear something frilly, so her outfits tend to be simple. She wears black or dark [insert-color-here] shirts with Tim Burton-esque sayings and drawings on them. Jeans are her pant of choice, but she also loves sweatpants. Her shoes are black skater sneakers with bright red laces, which go with the skateboard commonly tucked under her arm. It is rather plain on the top, but has red wheels and, on the bottom, a pattern of a tough looking praying mantis with chuncks taken out of its scythes.

Personality: If you coudn't tell from her description, Roxxy is a tomboy. When she was little, she was he type of girl to play with dolls: G.I. Joe action figures, that is. And she'd behead Barbies with them. She is stubborn, bull headed, and blunt. Her mouth moves faster than her mind sometimes, which can get her into trouble, though. But she has a silver tongue, and can charm most anyone into doing what she wanted.

However, she is fairly happy and bubbly if you can gain her trust, which isn't easy. She is a very private person, preferring the company of her pets and her thoughts over other people. The very few that manage to get to her and really touch her are promised protection as far as Roxxy can give it. But she does not pay much attention to those that she simply knows by name and face.

History: Roxxy is one of the "pure" vampires, one turned young. An interesting part of her history is her eyes: they didn't always used to be blue. When she was changed, they were a softer dark brown. However, when she decided to turn 16, they suddenly turned blue. All she says is it was because of someone in her past.

Karak came into her life soon after her eye color change. She took a liking to him almost immediately, because of his sleek beauty and dangerous abilities. He in turn likes her, and does protect her to an extent. Roxxy is a fighter for the vampires, not just for peace, but because she hates humans with a fiery passion.

Other: She has a pet mamba named Karak that she wears like a scarf.

No, definitely not sparkly. Robert Pattinson and his sparkly ass ruined the world of vampires as we know it. Plus, I feel bad for the poor girl who plays Bella--he looks like he's eating her face when he kisses her. And she probably goes blind when he steps out in the sun ._.

Anyway... even though I did specifically ask for the Pokemon's name to be spelled correctly... I guess it's alright since I'm in a good mood... XD We has our first accepted vampire that's not mine! 8D

Name: Melissa VanEtten
Age: 19/364
Gender: Female
Species: Vampire.
Side: Vampires.

Appearance: Melissa is pretty short, standing slightly under 5 feet. She is pretty slim and scrawny, only weighing in at 102 pounds. Do not let her appearance fool you, though. Her skin is rather pale, a slight shade above white. Melissa appears fairly young, but she had been around for a while.

Her hair is black, and her bangs are styled and cut across her forehead, and they slightly fall in front of her icy red eyes. Her hair goes down to the middle of her back. Even if she is fighting, Melissa's hair is kept quite tidy and neat.

For clothes, she wears a black jacket that goes over a black shirt with red text on it that reads, "Bite Me." The jacket is usually open, since she really has no need for it. For lower wear, she wears a pair of tattered dark blue jeans. They are held up with a chain belt. For shoes she then wears a pair of black steel toed boots.

Personality: Melissa often has a blank look on her face. She doesn't like it when people try to read her emotions, since she finds that weakening to her defense. While her face is expressionless, inside her there are tons of emotion swirling around. She never really has one emotion going on at once.

Melissa is never happy. She hasn't ever smiled or laughed at all. She finds happiness to be worthless, since it doesn't last. She often makes fun of happy people secretly in her mind, since she finds it so silly.

Melissa is very sadistic and ruthless. She thinks about death and suffering most of the time. She finds death and fear to be rather intriguing. Melissa also thinks about mass killing cities, and burning down towns. She doesn't really follow through with these plans, however.

One of Melissa's personal weaknesses is that she is clumsy. She often trips and falls over herself, and she drops things a lot. She also is very shaky. Her hands are often shaking, and she cannot help it. This makes her appear as if she is shaking out of coldness or fear.

Melissa gets angry pretty easily. Even something as slight as someone bumping into her makes her angry. If she is feeling sorry for whoever angered her, she will just say a few words to them and walk off. However, if she is in a terrible mood, she will get furious and hit them.

Melissa likes thing quiet, not loud. Loud noises are annoying to her, and they make her head pound. If she is around a loud noise, she will most likely walk off to avoid it. Sudden loud noises bother her too, but not as much.

History: Melissa grew up in an abusive family. Her mother and father would abuse her and her older brother constantly. This made Melissa often run from home for long periods of time. Every time she returned, she would get struck and sent to her room.

Her brother got worse punishments than her. He would be locked away for days without food or water, while Melissa would get fed each day. When Melissa ran away, she would often hide in alleyways, or on the outskirts of her town.

When Melissa was 12, she hid out in a small forest behind the town. It was peaceful and quiet, just the way she liked things. She quickly learned about all the plants in the forest, just by studying their look, texture and smell. She didn't dare taste any since they could have killed her.

When she was 14 she came back home one day to discover that her brother was missing. This puzzled her greatly, and she questioned her parents about it. They just told her that he moved on, trying to make it sound as if they didn't kill him, but she later found out that they did.

Melissa hadn't really been that close to her brother, so she ignored it. Around her 16th birthday, Melissa started cutting school every once and a while, and soon she didn't even go at all. She would just hide away in allies, not bothering to come out until later.

When she was 15, she came to discover one day that the forest had been annihilated and replaced with businesses and homes. This angered Melissa greatly, and she often tried to set fire to the homes and businesses there. She was successful most of the time, while other times the fire did not catch on anything.

When she was 17, her father passed away. She didn't really care, however. Her mother was deeply affected by this, and she ended up shooting herself out of depression. Melissa wasn't affected by this either, and she ended up taking all of the weapons in the house she could find, and she left.

Melissa hid out in alleyways, luring people back to her and then she would kill them. No one suspected a thing for a while. She managed to kill more until she was 19 years old. Then the bad thing happened...

She managed to lure a person int the alley, but Melissa did not realize that they were a vampire. Melissa held her ground at first, until she was changed. She was bit in the neck, and a searing pain flared through her whole body. This transformation was very painful, but she enjoyed it.

The vampire left her laying on the alley, writhing in pain. After the transformation, her eyes turned an icy red color. She was no longer a human. After the change, her senses felt more alert, and everything around her was clearer and more sharp. She slayed a few humans before running off into the vampire town that was nearby her current location.

Melissa thrived in Kathalos, often running off to her old town to kill every once and a while. She will stumble across her old house, and every time she goes inside. The various blood stains on the walls are very familiar to her, especially the one stain where her mother shot herself.

Melissa now resides in a small house in the town, mostly keeping to herself. She does go out and about sometimes, but she rarely talks or looks at anyone. She's not shy, no. She just doesn't trust that many people.

Appearance: This but with very pale blonde hair instead.
Severin stands at just under 6'3", though he usually hunches slightly making him appear only 6'. Skin pale with age, he is an imposing image to any who see him. With his long, pale blonde hair he cannot hide in the shadows easily, but what really stands out are his multi-coloured eyes. With the body of a reasonably fit 16 year old, he doesn't look as much of a threat as he actually is physically.
He always wears long black pants which are a size too big in the waist, but just the right length, which are held up by a plain black leather belt with a simple steel buckle. A blood red shirt with a placket that goes halfway down the shirt, usually unbuttoned except for the last button, is worn underneath a long black leather coat, usually with the collar popped\. The coat has stitched patterns on it in various places including the collar, halfway down the placket, and a rather large image of a bat on the upper back, all stitched in white. He wears black leather boots which are a size 11US. Additionally, he wears black leather gloves which both go halfway up his forearms to cover his scars (read below).
Severin carries a Glock in a holster on his right hip, and also carries a metal rod, about a metre long, to use as a weapon against close combat fighters. He carries his Glock ammunition in his pants pockets, needing them for nothing else.

Personality:
Severin was and is no ordinary kid. Born in the mid 11th century, he was always exceptionally quiet, but good at what he did. He seemed to have a knack for picking things up, and remembering them as well. He was the son of a noble-man who owned land in western Germany, and so he had many different opportunities for learning everything he could, whether he really wanted to learn it or not.
Severin always seems distanced, as if he's focusing on something far away or long forgotten by everyone else. In deed, this is usually the case, as he frequently recalls memories of his early years of being a vampire, and he even remembers some things about being human.
Quite content with rarely doing anything important, he often spends his time researching odd bits off information which no-one would bother knowing, such as who the Pharaohs of Egypt were, in chronological order and dynasty, and the names of all the Pokémon Series 1 and 2 TV episodes (he is a kid after all).
Often found to have a macabre air about him, he has been around death and despair for many many years, even in his human ones, so when faced with another death, he will either not care if he can, or if he must care, he shows it by watching over and helping the loved ones of who died for some period of time.
He is an oddity of sorts when it comes to socialising, and he talks often slowly and calmly, in a sort of dreary voice. However, when angered he become fast and sharp with his tongue, not holding back.
Also, when extremely angry he becomes something of an unstoppable destructive force. Despite his young body, he is capable of doing great damage to his surroundings and other people, having killed mercilessly in the process of doing so several times.
He fights the war to save himself so he may live to see the End of Days, an event which he believes marks the joyful, peaceful and calm transition from Immortal to Ethereal.

History:
Born in 1137, Severin Abendroth grew as quickly as a child. He was born into a family of nobles, with one elder brother who he thought the world of. He knew that he would never inherit the families responsibilities, so he never really paid attention to anything about business or politics, preferring to learn about the world itself.
This continued for some time until one day he asked his father why they did not have more land. At this time, his father was drunk after a party he had attended, so was outraged and Severin's question, and lashed his wrists with a leather whip as punishment. Later, Severin's father deeply regretted his chosen form of punishment, as Severin could no longer write properly, and was unable to help even with daily tasks concerning his family.
4 days after his sixteenth birthday, disaster struck. Severin was taken ill, suffering from a high fever and unknown disease. Luckily for him, or some would say unluckily, a vampire who had been in hiding for many years crept into his room one night, and bit him. Tasting the disease, the vampire almost immediately backed off Severin, leaving him to transform into a vampire.
By the next morning, Severin was 'cured' of his disease. His fever was gone, and he felt strong enough to move again. When his father entered to check on him for the morning, he found Severin standing at his window, looking out upon the estate. Severin turned to his father as he entered, smiling from ear to ear at his 'recovery', but his father immediately noticed something very strange about him. Severin's eyes had changed colour. They were no longer the bluey-green they had been, but instead a dark red tinge had replaced the blue, which itself had intensified. Severin could tell something was wrong as his father slowly backed away.
As he asked what was wrong, his father pointed to the mirror before running from the room, looking like he had seen a ghost.
Severin looked to find his changed eyes staring back at him. A story from his child-hood came to him, about bloodsuckers. It was a very unique tale belonging to his family, and it told of one of Severin's great-Uncle's one morning finding that they had a lust for blood, and nothing else. One of the other things that had changed for his great-Uncle was that his eyes had turned dark red, with spots of the darkest black. His great-Uncle murdered his wife, and drank her blood, but he was not satisfied, and came to what was now Severin's home, looking for blood. Severin's other great-Uncle met him at the gates, and upon seeing the blood on his lips, and pure lust in his eyes, he picked up a nearby garden stake, and threw it into the terrible man's heart, impaling him and killing him.
Severin could feel the lust for blood building up inside him, and he knew he had suffered the same fate that his great-uncle had, but he did not want to die.
Carefully, he crept around the just-woken house to find his father, and without thinking or being able to stop himself, he lunged at his father, pinning him to the ground as he bit deep into his neck, and sucked the poor man dry. His mother was next, and he sated his thirst by the time he was finished. But he knew that his brother was yet to wake, so even though he was full to the brim of blood, and already mourning the death of his parents, he crept to his brother's room and murdered him by biting chunks out of his chest.
Several days later, the thirst had returned, but Severin was now ready for it. He had left his home, and all it's treasures and memories behind. He was in a nearby village, careful to keep out of sight and harms way until he could stop himself no longer. He found a young girl wandering the outskirts of the village one evening, and he knew that he could not go past her without stopping, so he did the young girl a service by killing her as painlessly as he could, before leaving the body for someone to easily find.
Severin initially hated the monster he had become, but as time wore on and he killed more and more people for blood, he began to revel the benefits that came with being a vampire. Ageless, eternal life, though he found he could still be wounded, as well as vision in the night almost as good during the day. His teeth were hard as stone and sharp as daggers, and he found he could use them to bite hard and deep into even the toughest men.
Many years past, and Severin adapted as civilisation changed. He knew how to keep out of sight and trouble, despite his appearance, and rarely got caught in the act of drinking. He grew to love to taste of blood, though he no longer needs it so often.
For many years now before the present, Severin lived in Katharos mostly, though he often made trips around the world in search of a particularly delicious blood to drink. When the humans discovered Katharos, Severin initially was against fighting, as much blood would be lost instead of drunk, and he hated seeing blood go to waste. After a few years however, he began to fight to survive, and now he will fight when called upon, unless he is in the mood for some more unique, delicious blood.

Other: He has seen Maximus from a distance, and knows of him, but has not met him in person. He does not relish the thought of doing so either.

Appearance: Malis has short unkept blonde hair. She has purple eyes that match her purple skirt and her purple striped turtle neck. She can be seen wearing a matching brown hat and vest. She is always wearing brown combat boots usually with a pair of long black socks.

Personality: Because her parents Malis has a lot of abandonment issues. She has also developed trust issues from so many people trying to kill her. So she often hides in trees. This leads people to believe that she is very shy and timid, even scared.
If people were to break through this emotional barrier they would see that Malis is a very loving, optimistic, curious little girl. She often follows people and observes their behavior. She tries to help those with problems, leaving them stuff she thinks will help. She loves learning about people.

History:Up until Malis was 8 she lived with her mom and dad in Greenwood. Her parents wanted peace and were trying to find a way to make friends with the vampires when she was bitten. Because of that the peace mission was a failure and Malis was abandoned by her parents. She was adopted by a vampire family but then ran away when they started training her for war.
Malis lived in the woods for several years trying to escape the war. She met several humans but they all ran or tryed to kill her. though in her six years in the woods, she never ran into another vampire. She tried to return to Greenwood at one point but this was of coarse unsuccessful. So she spends her time in the woods, secretly watching and helping people.

Other: she still has hope that the war will end

Appearance:
Here he is. (Ignore the name on the pic...duh...plus ignore the metal arm which if you didn't know was there, it is.) Also, green eyes not golden.
Callum is about 6' tall, and with a fairly fit body build looks like he could hold himself in any athletic trial. He has paler skin than most kids, despite going outside a fair bit, and his blonde hair comes to down cover the back of his neck and his ears, while parting at the front. His teeth are extremely white as well, having taken good care of them.
He wears a pair of black pants, held up by a large brown leather belt with a rather simple iron buckle, which he rust-proofs frequently. Over a low-hanging plain black shirt, Callum wears a black jacket with a white trim running along the edges. The collar of the jacket can be done up to cover all of Callum's neck, and since he has reinforced the collar with pure iron plates joined vertically, it offers him some protection from sneaky vampires. His boots are black, with a red line running around the bottom edge of the shoes. He wears white gloves, stitched with black, which just cover his wrists.
Callum keeps several different throwing knives, up to eight, tucked into the bottom lining of his jacket, all made from iron. He also carries a Beretta, holstered to his right hip, the ammunition for which he keeps in magazines of 15 in his jacket pockets (3 or 4 of these) besides those already in the Beretta. Additionally, he wears a spring loaded wrist blade on his right hand which slides out his sleeve and over his fist.


Personality:
Callum is quite the optimist, always with a smile on his face. Friendly and somewhat charming, he has had very few enemies in his life, despite his parents. Rain or shine, he will find the brighter side of life and always try to show it to others who need cheering up. He always tries to help other people in need, no matter if he himself is the one in need.
Not particularly fussed about anything in particular, he finds people who exaggerate their feelings about anything to be people who he wouldn't necessarily spend all day with, but he wouldn't avoid them. In fact, he is so nonplussed about everything he does not discriminate at all, no matter what. This include vampires, as he believes they are simple a different evolutionary branch from humans. The fact they have to drink human blood confuses him because as he doesn't discriminate, he believes blood from any living creature, bar a few poisonous ones, would work for them, and he believes they just haven't tried it.
Despite having no prejudices, he isn't stupid enough to leave himself unguarded against vampire attacks, so he does carry weapons, guns and wear a reinforced collar. He also is trained in self-defence, but since he never makes enemies he never has to show it.
He rarely ever gets angry, just brushing off any thing which would frustrate him with happy thoughts.

History:
Born in November, 1994 to a couple who didn't want him, Callum learnt to reject negativity very early in his life. Although his parents disliked having him around the house, having to pay for all his school things, ect. he rarely shared their dim view on life, and tried desperately to cheer his parents up with accomplishments and by doing things he thought would make them happier.
When he was 6 years old, he, along with the rest of humanity, learnt about the true existence of vampires. His parents, already resigned to death and despair, were one of the first to die when the secret came out. Although his parents had hated him, he loved them and was deeply affected by their loss. Orphaned and living alone in Greenwood, he turned to the streets to live, knowing that he might be able to help other people avoid the same fate. By the time he was 13, he was much loved by everyone on the street, and was known even by a few well-off families for helping their kids stay safe. He often received gifts from many families for his troubles and his cares, though he rarely kept them, giving them to people who needed them more. After a while it became understood that this was happening, so the families sent even more gifts so that Callum could distribute them. The only things that were gifted to him that he kept were the daggers, Beretta (and ammunition, which he gets free from the local gun store for helping the owners son get to and from school), his current outfit and a toothpaste and toothbrush for looking after himself.
He never went to school, but he did learn reading and writing and all of those school things later on when he was tutored, for free, by several school teachers for helping out the kids of the school.
Now that Katharos has been discovered nearby, he helps as many kids as he can, as well as looks after as much as he can. He learnt self defence from a martial arts dojo in order to protect himself and others for free because of his genuine good will.
Now he is being asked to fight by some of the townspeople for their survival, though he is sure the vampires fight for their survival as well.
