Name: Suteki Kirameki.
Age: 12.
Gender: Female.
Sexual Orientation: Straight.

Rank: Genin.
Village: Sunagakure.

History: The Kirameki family is a small one, though it has ties that go back to ancient Suna. They hold no impressive Kekkei Genkai, nor are any of their children host to the feared Biju. They have always lived an average life, excluding the fact that they have a history of making fairly decent shinobi. It’s almost tradition for every generation of Kirameki to be sent off the Academy, and though greatness and prodigy level excellence isn’t expected, at least graduating is.

One skill that’s always been passed down is their knowledge of Genjutsu. Though some of them have went on to specialize in summons or Taijutsu, most do find their true place working with illusions, seeing as they excel in that area. Some Genin have even surpassed a Jounin or two in that field, and Suteki is no exception.

Her family was standard and there was nothing special about them; a Shinobi father that also worked with illusions, a former Kunoichi mother that began her life as a ( lethal ) housewife after birthing first her elder brother, then her. Her grandparents were either staying at home with them, too old to fight but not senile enough so that they couldn’t pass off their tricks to their grandchildren, or were resting in the Shinobi graveyard after having died honourably in battle. Totally normal.

Of course, there was nothing wrong with normalcy. Suteki had a loving mother, a role model father and doting grandparents that often sneaked her scrolls and shuriken when her parent’s back were turned. Not to mention her elder brother, Ichimu, was quite popular with the rest of the village; not because he was super strong or super powerful, but because he was down to earth, helped around the village, had forged a new way down the path of Ninjutsu by controlling the elements like the weather and was a pretty face to boot. No, Suteki was not the victim of broken families and never really had a problem at home.

Even though her brother broke the Kirameki norm by specializing in Ninjutsu, it seemed that Suteki would stick with tradition and be fairly proficient at Genjutsu like her ancestors. And if by fairly proficient, you meant having already mastered basic Genjutsu her first year in and by graduation, had already created a plethora of her own illusions that rivalled a Jounin’s ability, then yes, that described her perfectly. It seemed that the girl had a knack for illusions, something that brought pride to her family’s heart.

Though, there was probably a logical reason behind this. If she wasn’t training, she was off in her own world, re-enacting dreams or making up new fantasies. While her brother kept both feet on the ground, Suteki’s head was high in the clouds, though she was still a rather lovable girl, if a bit distracted from time to time. She cared for her village and family, but always made space for her own dream world.

Despite her talent in Genjutsu, she was neither moved up a class nor allowed to gradute early; simply because her Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, weapon work and other aspects of being a ninja were decent, at best. A fatal flaw of most young Kirameki’s, most got over this weakness with age and experience, something that Suteki didn’t have, and so she was kept in her class.

After what seemed like forever, she has finally been put onto a Genin team of her own, though she is blissfully unaware that the normalcy of her life is about to be shattered violently by creatures only dreamed up in her own fantasies and something much, much worse…

Even though she is the youngest on her Genin squad, that’s simply because Suteki is a winter baby, her birthday the latest out of pretty much everyone of her age group. Because of this, she appears 13, even 14 upon initial inspection, and her 5’3 frame only helps with that. Between rounded shoulders, a decent chest and a flat belly, she is of average weight, though some pounds come in the form of muscle covered in a peachy skin tone. Her arms and legs do show some sign of toning from the training she does, and she is anything but proud about that.

Her hair is a chestnut brown in colour, and just goes past her shoulders in length. The strands are unevenly cut, but not many notice since most of her tresses are tied up into a small, high ponytail. Her bangs are long and part to the left, cutting off right above her eyes. There are two side portions that frame her face and cut off by her cheeks which still have hints of baby fat. Her eyes are fairly large and dark blue in colour, framed by naturally thick lashes. There are small traces of pale pink eye-shadow on her eyelids, just enough to enhance the colour of her eyes but not so much that it makes her look trashy. She also wears lip gloss, from time to time.

Suteki wears cute, but still functional ( to most people’s surprise ) clothing while on the field. For her top, it’s a black and white tank top striped vertically, with the collar covering about half her neck. Some of the stripes are replaced with fishnet, though it’s all modest and doesn’t impede her ability to fight. Her arms, from her shoulders to mid forearm, are bandaged up with white wrappings. She wears a black skirt that cuts off at the middle of her thigh with a slit on the right side for better mobility, and fishnet leggings that cover everything under the skirt all the way to her black shinobi boots.

Her kunai pouch is strapped to her right leg with bandages underneath to keep it from sliding off, and a few weapon/scroll holsters are attached to each arm. One of these scrolls summons her bo staff, which she is fairly good at and is her only defence after her Genjutsu. She also wears black combat gloves with the fingers cut off and a metal plate on the back of each hand. She carries a small black backpack with her whenever travelling or going out.
Piercings: Two sparkling studs on each ear, white in colour.

Personality: Suteki can always be seen smiling, which acts like a breath of fresh air in the Village of the Sand. Whether she’s full out beaming at others or if she has a small, content grin on her face, it seems impossible for her to by anything but happy, god forbid a scowl or tears. An optimist, she manages to make the best out of each situation, and it takes a lot of trauma for her to not be able to find the light in the darkness, metaphorically speaking. Just because a smile always graces her features, however, it does not mean she has no other emotion than glee. She does experience anger and sadness, but will continue to smile nonetheless, even if blinded by rage or tears. Taking insults fairly well, if someone says something she doesn’t like of is she just dislikes something, she doesn’t show it.

Suteki seems to live in her own world, or at least, on a different orbit from the rest of her village seeing as she is noticeably different from the other ninja. No other word other than ‘whimsical’ can do justice to her personality. Maybe it’s the way that she blindly believes in anything she is told, similar to a child’s belief in things like the Tooth Fairy and Santa. Or maybe it’s her constant cheery disposition, bubbly even in the darkest of moments. Many think that she lives in her own dream world; though she never daydreams ( her days are for living, and only in the night can she dream peacefully ), she’ll never fail to tell anybody who’ll listen about her dream last night.

It also seems that her attention span is nonexistent; she’ll constantly bounce from topic to topic while speaking and can’t seem to focus on one thing at a time. This is fairly inaccurate, seeing as she’ll gladly stay put to listen to others. She figures it’s only fair, seeing as most of them will listen to her long winded recollections of what happened last night during the clutches of sleep. Also, she manages to catch the fine details that others skim over, something that she’s rather proud of and is more often than not acutely away of her current situation and surroundings.

Suteki seems almost unfit to be a ninja, seeing as she practically radiates innocence. She genuinely means well and will refuse to do something if she knows someone’s going to be hurt either in the process or in the end result. This makes her rather well liked, but also has it’s consequences from time to time. It’s hard for her to do anything but tell the truth, which makes her attempts at telling lies and covering for others result in failure. Though she’ll apologize profusely at her inability to deceive others, she also doesn’t see the value in not telling the truth from time to time. Always honest, sometimes her words are rather blunt and harsh because she just can’t say anything that’s not true, though this may hurt a few feelings or deflate a few egos in the process.

Despite the fact that she is a Ninja, there is no hiding the fact that she is a bit of a girly girl. She doesn’t laugh; she giggles, which can get a bit grating on the nerves from time to time. She’s easily frightened when caught off guard, letting out a high pitched scream if something surprises her though she tries not to let it show. She puts on make up, though only a smidge, and prefers to be with her friends talking about little nothings and enjoying social situations other than constantly training like the boys.

Suteki, though always cheery and laughing, can be a bit impish from time to time. Whether it’s just a meaningless insult meant to be funny or abusing the puppy dog eyes and pout to get what she wants, she does mean well and if she does offend someone, will profusely apologize. However, she does have a darker side to her personality, though it only comes out from time to time. She puts herself down a lot, preferring to compliment her peers rather than her own skills, almost as if she dislikes herself. Something that is also fairly disturbing is the fact that she does not value life at all. She won’t hesitate to give up her own or someone else’s should the situation call for it, and sees no harm in taking one.

Jutsu Varieties: Suteki specializes in Genjutsu, preferring to cast her Jutsu from a distance while her teammates handle the front line. She also has a rather in depth knowledge of healing jutsus and can always be counted on to fix up her teammates, as well as dabbling in basic poisons. She is good at what she does, but this means that the rest of her skills are rather lacking. With decent Taijutsu, aided only by the Bo staff she uses if forced to get up close and personal, alright aim with weapons and only knowing basic Wind Jutsu, things become rather troublesome for her if someone manages to break through her Illusions.

However, it was mentioned before that she is good at what she does, even if the rest of her abilities can’t live up to that. Since she has a great imagination, it’s only fair that she can project her fantasies onto her enemies with her Illusions.

More often than not, if her Genjutu is successful, enemy Nin will find themselves in unusual lands accompanied by creatures of fancy, all created by Suteki’s rather potent imagination. Though the Illusion doesn’t have a specific name, she does call it “Yumegokochi [ Ninja Art : Dreamy State of Mind ]”.

Suteki has also developed some Genjutsu of her own, outside of the generic ones that she has a rather large knowledge of. They are more offensive than anything, and rather than trapping her opponent, she hopes to make them easier for her teammates to go after by ‘softening them up’ first. She calls them her “Yume Rinban [ Dream Sequence ]” The jutsus she has made are :

Yume Rinban : Kuusou [ Daydream ]
Rather harmless, all this does is distract and slow down her opponent rather than executing any pain, mental are not. However, this Genjutsu can also send her opponents to sleep, knocking them out from either a few minutes to a few hours, at best.

Yume Rinban : Issuinoyume [ Empty Dream ]
This illusion traps her opponent in a small confined room, but rather than keeping them there, the illusion is to make it so that they repeat any action that they do over and over again. With each repetition, they cause themselves more and more pain.

Yume Rinban : Masayume [ Dream that comes True ]
Suteki’s opponent is violently thrashed around for around a minute, the illusion making them think that either Suteki herself or a person of her choosing is doing the beating. The enemy is then left blinded and paralyzed for a short period of time due to the aftershock. A fairly short illusion.

Yume Rinban : Kyuumu [ Ancient Dream ]
Transported either into a memory of their past or a scenario created by Suteki, her opponent must live out that memory or scene until it is completed; however, they are slowed down and the more they move, the more damage they do to themselves.

Yume Rinban : Hatsuyume [ Year’s First Dream ]
This is a fairly unique Genjutsu; the opponent is often unaware that this Genjutsu has been cast on them as the mind continues to think that it is functioning normally when, in fact, the enemy has been put in a trance like state. From there, Suteki can transfer her opponent’s chakra to herself, though the process is slow and tricky and if she looses her concentration, the Genjutsu breaks.

Yume Rinban : Yochimu [ Foresight Dream ]
Rather than damaging her opponent, Suteki uses this jutsu to ‘synchronize’ with her enemy, making her able to predict and anticipate their movements and actions. She can also imprint thoughts onto her enemy, while they think that it’s their own idea. Used to manipulate others and to distract/hold them back.

Yume Rinban : Kyoumu [ Ominous Dream]
This Genjutsu heavily distorts the opponent’s senses, blending and mixing them beyond recognition. Also, chains form and bind Suteki’s enemy, limiting their ability to move. Most of the time, this Jutsu is used in combination with her Yume Rinban : Akumu Genjutsu.

Yume Rinban : Akumu [ Nightmare ]
A rather difficult Jutsu to pull off, it takes a while for it tow work and takes even longer for her to execute. However, it’s fairly potent, trapping her opponent in their worst nightmare. They suffer from excruciating pain and is near impossible to escape from, save from Suteki releasing the jutsu or the opponent dying. Both their sanity and senses are heavily damaged while caught in this illusion. Unless it is released, the enemy is left catatonic.

All of Suteki’s Genjutsu have a release word that lifts the illusion, even if Suteki doesn’t release it herself. If the person trapped says the word, then it effectively makes her illusions useless. However, even Suteki isn’t even aware of this.

History: Sachiko has always been the tall "freak". People avoided her due to her strange choice of clothing. She was always nice when people spoke to her, so she didn't quite understand why someone would go so far as reject someone else just because of how they looked. It just didn't make sense to her. Being a part of the commonly seen Kokuzo clan, she decided to try and stand out.

Therefore, she worked extremely hard to become a kunoichi, and all that hard work paid off. At the age of 8 she was already a Chuunin. Up until she turned 10, she was actually working at the Academy of Sunagakure, though not as a teacher, of course. At 10, she became a Jounin, which did make her stand out from the Kokuzo clan, and the whole village as well since she was frighteningly young for a Jounin.

She even taught older Genin as their squad leader, which was a bit awkward. Over her 8 years of experience, she has been the leader of 5 different teams, all of their members becoming successful Jounin one day or another. She currently is the leader of her sixth team, and two of her Genin are Jinchuuriki. This is quite an interesting team that is bound to be successful.

Though, unbeknownst to her, her team has been the target of a well-known organisation for a while...

Appearance: Sachiko's appearance is quite striking compared to other shinobi of any village. First of all, she is freakishly tall, being 7'3" and weighs around 230 pounds, which is actually a very healthy weight at her height. She is noticeably well-toned, having slightly visible abs and the general body structure of an athlete. Medium-sized breasts compliment her well-toned silhouette fairly well along with fairly muscular thighs, giving her an hourglass-like body build.

Then, we get to her hair. Her long, straight blonde hair reaches her mid back. However, she also styles it into a mohawk (looks like this with different colors) that she dyes with the colors of the rainbow, making her hair hard to miss. Adding this to her multiple piercings only makes her stand out more.

Her eyes are bright blue, almost cyan. However, they always seem to have a mischievious glint in them, even though she rarely is actually mischievious. She also tends to have black eyeshadow around her eyes. A large tattoo similar to what the modern day Yakuza Member would have can be seen on her back, making her even more of an eyecatcher.

She wears a black halter top with chainmail on the back, which is there to protect her back, of course. She wears long black and brown fingerless gloves with many holes in them that reach her upper arm. For lower wear, she wears simple black pants with chainmail under them for safety measures. It also covers her feet, which are often inside black sandals. She also paints her nails black.

Piercings: One on her tongue, one on the right side of her lip, one on her left eyebrow, around 9 on both of her ears (one of each kind in that pic). All made of steel.

Personality: Sachiko is what you'd call a tomboy. She's tough, she isn't afraid to fight and tends to talk roughly. She has a lot of energy and is fairly hyper. In fact, she can stay awake for 48 hours before feeling tired, which can be useful. Therefore, she is rarely sitting still, either tapping her foot or even cracking her knuckles. She may be tough and look scary, but she's actually fairly nice.

Not scared to say what she thinks, she can and will be brutally honest to others, but she'll do her best to help those who are weaker, making her a great squad leader. She is also very young to be a full-fledged Jounin, which helps her understand her squad better than older Jounin. She is very focused on teamwork, so she will scold her Genin if one of them works alone. A bit hypocritically, she prefers fighting alone.

Insulting her isn't really a good idea considering her large amount of energy and her fairly short temper. She can snap at anyone with enough provokation; even the Kazekage himself, which can be problematic at times. Snapping at her Genin only happens when they greatly disrespect her or keep ignoring her, which is when she'll raise her voice to be heard. She greatly dislikes being ignored when talking.

Knowing that being young for a Jounin usually makes people underestimate her, she's not the kind to toy with an opponent; she prefers ending fights quickly. She is prone to arguing and talking too much, something she is working on. Since she doesn't see herself as extremely superior to her three Genin, she will accept advice and suggestion from them. She also has a strong sense of justice.

Jutsu Varieties: Like most of the Sunagakure shinobi, Sachiko has a strong affinity for wind-based jutsu. However, even though she has an impressive repertoire of wind jutsu, she very rarely uses them. Instead, she uses her clan's Kekkei Genkai, which allows her to manipulate metal. Therefore, her shuriken, kunai and even her piercings can turn into deadly weapons. She can freely transform metallic objects to what she wants. She could make a sword out of a shuriken, a hammer out of a kunai and even an axe out of her tongue's piercing. This can often startle enemies and catch them off guard.

She has very dangerous Taijutsu skills, being able to destroy a wall with a well-placed kick. Her Ninjutsu, while limited to wind jutsu, is also hard to ignore. While she is not very good at using Genjutsu, she has very detailed knowledge about it. Therefore, she is able to snap out of Genjutsu easily.
