When you enter a pokemon, do you get matched up to another pokemon of its approximate level? Because if a level 10 pokemon goes up against a level 80 pokemon, it's probably not going to win... Sorry if this has been addressed already, or if I missed it in the description.
Eh, I'm not really crazy about it... I feel like I wasted my 4,000 points, and I definitely would not have bought this upgrade if I knew what it was. Well, so much for that, I guess I learned a lesson not to jump the gun on something I don't even know what it is. Basically battled a clone of my Pokemon and lost. Both Level 100 Male Luxrays Hehehe, that would be me who won. 8D Did you use an item? /curios Actually, I didn't. I used my last one in the battle before that. xD You? I don't think so xD That Luxray was the first male I put in there, and the first (and only) Pokemon of mine that lost. Maybe male Pokemon are weak -------------------- HEY PEOPLE! Pokemon Anrui is a text based Pokemon RPG. The daycare and the vs seeker times are the same. @epicownage: Um... lol? I dare say the rhydon was also entered in the bronze comp. And are you sure it was strong? Could've been the minimal level for a rhydon (40 or something). Thats mediocre. 60-70 is strong, anything above that is ownage. But yea. Thats prob what happened.

Well if I did the maths (which i cbf doing) it probably would have been a level 40 or so rhydon against you.

I really really like this update but I have a few question... First, the battle items. How exactly do they work? Do they add a second type on top of the pokemon's original type/s, or do they change the type the pokemon attacks with while it defensive type stays the same? Like, if I added a mystic water to my Zangoose, would it give it the advantage over a fire type and make it weak to electric types, or will it keep its resistance to electrics, if that makes sense? Secondly, will a pokemon's happiness affect the battle like it does in the games? ..... Aaaand my shiny Zangoose defeated some Steelix against all odds, scoring me a nice 15000 points!!one! I luff you, buddy! You get all the offencive bonuses of having the item's type, but none of the defencive ones. So, for example, equipping a Magnet gives you a bonus against Flying and Water types, but it wouldn't give you a penalty against Ground, Grass, and so on like Electric types normally have. It's actually entirely random - you can be paired against any level, and ultimately, you don't need a level advantage to win in the first place. In fact, if you were playing a level 1 against a level 100, and the level 1's instructions beat the opponent's instructions, the level 1 would already have the advantage, just looking at those two aspects. -------------------- |

LIAR. .....grumble...mumble... *Throws lvl 100 Sky Shaymin in* It's true, my lvl 1 Cyndaquil beat a lvl ?? Rhydon. Now I ask, type advantages solely based w/o items? EDIT: I owned a Ho-oh and got 1.2k points! -------------------- |
