Appearance: Sota
Sota is not very tall for his age, standing at about 5 feet 6 inches. Height was never something that was on his side, nor was the big, bulky frame that most men had. His body is thin and lithe, only containing enough muscle to show slight contours under his clothing. His skin is like that of Porcelain, so white it looks like he hasn't seen the light of day in centuries. Really, it's just because all pigmentation was lost when he was turned. He has hair of the blackest degree that borders his thin face nicely, coming to many points and spiking out in a few areas atop his head. His face looks artfully sculpted with smooth strokes, and to finish it off as his piercing blue eyes that could rival the blue of the ocean and sky. On his back he stores a pair of black wings, just as black as the hair on his head and the clothes that cover his body and resemble that of a ravens in the sense that in the right light, they hold a certain sheen that makes them appear to be colored like the rainbow.

In terms of attire, Sota tends to stay to darker clothing. Mostly, black is his color of choice because it doesn't get any simpler - plus he feels that it portrays his darkened heart. His clothing is usually a little baggy on him; however is still tight enough to keep his trim appearance. Branching off of his shirt and pants are several straps that are really just for show but also signify a piece of his past that he'll never be able to forget. Occasionally he can be found in dark shades of grey or a bloody red, but usually only for 'special occasions'.

Sota doesn't carry any weapons on him; however, in times of need, he can 'summon' a specialized weapon. The name of his weapon - because he insists that it needs a call name of sorts - is "Hanaje". Hanaje is a long, spear-like weapon that is about 6 feet long - rather ironic since Sota is so short - and has a tear drop shaped blade with a slight curve towards the end of it, adding the sickle affect. In the middle of the fattest part of the blade is a large, red orb that glows depending on 'how far gone' he is. At the top and the bottom of the handle - for lack of a better word - are wrappings that have become quite frayed and add a somewhat creepy affect to the blade. With Hanaje, Sota is able to expel his power in a manner that is safer for himself as well as give him better control of his power. When he takes electricity from nature, he then transfers it to Hanaje where the lightning is caught in the orb until it has charged up enough and from the top of the blade the blue lightning is released to wherever he has taken aim. However, lightning - in many cases - is rather unpredictable.
Personality: Sota is normally quiet and not very outspoken. He doesn't argue much for fear that he'll be imprisoned. He doesn't care for those that have God Complexes nor does he care for those who gloat; however, he will never speak his mind to such people and would sooner just walk away from them than get into a fight over it. Most of the time, he doesn't like to fight, but if he is needed in times of need, he will do what he must. Most would simply call him a slave or something like a robot in the way he will do just about anything anyone asks of him; but that is only because they don't know the real reason behind his behavior. One of his biggest fears is losing himself to his power or his 'dark side'. When he gets too absorbed in a fight, he tends to lose himself and falls unconscious while a darker side to him takes over and usually goes berserk. It's not hard for this second side to take over; in fact, every times he fights it surfaces and is almost impossible to stop for it keeps itself well guarded and throws attacks in every direction to detour others from coming closer. When Sota can finally reclaim himself, he normally has no memory of fighting at all but gets the general feeling that he had fought in a battle.
Past: We'll start with his death: Sota had just turned 22 when he was brutally murdered. He never saw it coming for the day had started just like any other in the four years he'd been away from home. He woke up that morning and called in sick to work; though his boss knew the real reason he wasn't coming into work that day and didn't care either. He had lounged around most of the day until noon rolled around. Instead of just cooking something simple or reheating the leftovers he had in the fridge, he decided to go out for lunch and treat himself to something nice on his birthday. He walked to the little diner down the road - a place he frequented for he thought they had the best homemade food around - and did as he had planned. On the way home, however, things started to go haywire.

A hand reached out from an alley way and grabbed Sota by the arm, pulling him into the darkness. A hand was quickly clapped over his mouth to stop him from making noise and a mouth moved to rest beside his ear. "What makes you so special, huh? Playin' hookie and no one even cares. You got a deal with the Boss or somethin'?" A hoarse, yet familiar voice whispered in his ear. His eyes widened as the other pulled away so that Sota could see his face. Ricky? Why would he even care when he was higher ranked in the company that Sota had been? He shook his head slightly in denial. No, his eyes had to be playing tricks on him; however, there was no trick of the eye, no illusion. It really was Ricky, and he was jealous, enraged and rather disoriented. While Sota was caught up in thought, he missed the glisten of the knife that soon plunged into his stomach and twisted. Pain rushed through him as his breath caught in his throat, a slight gurgling noise coming from him as well. He could feel his insides screaming as they all migrated to his brain. The pain was intense, and enough to almost drive him crazy; however, he passed before that could even happen. His body was left in the alleyway, however, that was far from the end of his journey.

To much of Sota's surprise, there really is life after death. But, it was nothing like he ever imagined. Since he had never done wrong in his life - more like never killed someone or intentionally hurt others - he was first received by the Godwings. He was taught their ways and what their goal was, who their enemies were and how to fight them off. He was treated with care since he was one of the most unstable Godwings around: a lightning manipulator. It wasn't long before he was being used for what he had trained for; however, he did it happily since he thought he was with the right group. Little did he know that he could easily be corrupted and switched to the other side. It was during a routine flight that he was captured by the Hellsings. The first thing they did was lock him in a cage, binding him so that he couldn't move at all. Then, they started to feed him their information and changed alliance. They started training him in a brutal manner, often beating him if he didn't get something right on the first try. After several lashings, his second side finally surfaced, destroying all around them - though that was only the small amount of training equipment around them - and was then announced a Hellsing. They had no problems using them - some of them even treated him like one that had originally been a Hellsing - so it was easy for him to just go with the flow. Now, he fights with the Hellsings, but he is still vulnerable to change; however, he doesn't know how much of a toll that will take on his body as well as his mental state of being.
