Appearance: At first glance, the first thing you would notice about Molly is her somewhat masculine attire. Preferring jeans, a dull hooded jacket, and worn sneakers over anything overly colorful or effeminate, most would assume she is a tomboy. Her clothes reveal a somewhat cubby figure, and unfortunately for Molly she has yet to possess the beautiful hour-glass figure of a full grown woman. Her hair is straight, plain and dark brown (nearly black), extending a couple inches past her shoulders which she is nearly always brushing away from her face. Sporting a pair of rather large, round spectacles (which she is often pushing up), her face is a bit round in appearance, with rosy (and a bit chubby) cheeks and bright hazel eyes, though sometimes one can spot a bruise or a bandage from one of her many escapades. Overall, Molly isn't very eye-catching, but doesn't mind her plain looks in the slightest.

Personality: Molly is an easy-going individual, and is fairly easy to get along with. Able to handle large amounts of stress with ease, when under pressure she is reliable and able to see the best in a bad situation. With a love of laughter and a kind heart, she will purposefully go out of her way to help someone, and thoroughly enjoys it. She often laughs at the littlest things, and enjoys making others laugh as well. Always very cheerful, there's always a smile on her face.

Unfortunately, she's a bit of a push-over. She rarely argues with anyone simply because if she disagrees with what someone says she'll keep her mouth shut even if she's right. She also tends to be less realistic then most, and even a tad naive at times. And like any teenager, she feels rather self-conscious about her appearance and likes to hide her bigger build under baggy clothes.

Biography: Molly was born to Susan and Gregory Grove in Cianwood City. During her first few years of life, she lead what most would consider to be an average life with her mother caring for her at home while her father was away at sea. But at the tender age of four, her parents divorced and Gregory was never a part of her life after words. Despite this, Molly never missed her father simply because she never got to know him, and enjoyed being the only child of a single mother.

While growing up on the small island, Molly soon came to enjoy watching battles at the local gym (as well as becoming an avid fan of Chuck in the process), which inspired her to being training Pokemon. Under the careful guidance of the gym trainers, Molly soon became quite good at battling, and was elated when one of the aforementioned gym trainers presented her with her first Pokemon; an Onix.

Molly loved her Onix dearly, lovingly naming it after the trainer that gave it to her. Her mother, however, was slightly annoyed by the fact her daughter now had a giant rock-snake for a ‘pet’, and nearly made her return the Pokemon. But Molly proved she was responsible enough to care for him, as well as a Mankey she had recently discovered washed up on the beach.

As she aged, Molly quickly became restless, and soon begged her mother to allow her to journey to the previously unheard of region of Furoh. Though skeptical and unwilling to let her daughter leave, she finally allowed Molly to leave the tiny little island they called home. Packing up her things, Molly said her goodbyes and departed, knowing not of what new and exciting adventures lay ahead.

Hitoshi (male)

Moves: Tackle, Harden, Bind, Rock Throw
Bio: Hitoshi was a gift from a gym trainer of the Cianwood gym (run by the gym leader Chuck) for Molly. Named after his former owner, Hitoshi is actually surprisingly timid for the giant Pokemon that he is.


Ryu (male)
lv. 9
Moves: Scratch, Low Kick, Focus Energy, Fury Swipes
Bio: Molly originally found Ryu washed up on the shores on the outskirts of Cianwood, unconscious and barely alive. Naturally, she cared for the creature until he was well again, and though he proved to be quiet a handful he eventually became a valued member of the family. Ryu is impulsive and quick to anger like the rest of his species, and oddly enough he doesn't seem to recollect any events before he met Molly (then again, he probably doesn't want to). Odder still, he loathes his Pokeball with a passion and prefers to walk alongside Molly where ever she goes.
