Do you think they're gonna re-make the second generation games like they did with the first? (I know they only re-made the first generation because of all the glitches in them.) Although I'm thinking that if they do re-make them, they'd do it after they made the third game in the fourth generation series (like Emerald to Ruby/Sapphire, and assuming they're even going to do that).

They remade the First generation so that people would be able to obtain all of the Kanto Pokémon and some Johto ones to complete the Pokédex in the 3rd generation, not because of all of the glitches the first games had.
A GSC remake might be coming, it would definitely explain that "From Johto" Pokémon location within DP's coding. -------------------- Overtaken by Net & Zodi on that track!

If they made a GSC remake i would rush to buy it! but do you you really think they will do a third in D/P? they didn't for FR/LG

There are a lot of things that suport this including:
• The red gyrados at the beginning of the game. • Jasmine being in sunyshore • Proffeser elms report on eggs • The in-game data about being able to trade with johto. • Cynthia's secret potion • The park balls which look like the GS ball. Anyway I really hope they do make a G/S remake. --------------------   |

I saw those both too, on a Belgian page or something, and I was looking at it trying to decipher it (it was in Flemish I think, cause it definitely wasn't French.
 ), and I saw like... WORD WORD GARBLE BLAH BLAH FAKE BLAH BLAH RANDOM LETTERS.

I would love to see a remake of those two.
Updated graphics, sprites and movepools would be amazing. Not to mention we would get 16 badges again hopefully and an improved experience from the last round of Johto games(though it's hard to improve upon them) |

Maybe they could redo the Kanto portion, and make it longer somehow. Really, in the original GSC, it was just kinda tacked on, and you could speed through it, unlike the first 8 badges.

I would love a remake for Crystal! I bought 2 of those games and they all ended up a bit... kablamo. I'm not going to buy another because it's such an old game. But if they made a remake of it... Well, I bet you I won't be one of the last ones to buy it!

I've always been interested in the prospect of a Johto remake since it's by far my favorite generation (and has spawned several of my favorite Pokemon, including my favorite overall, Espeon). My only problem with it is that there isn't really a motive other than to make lots of money, so I'm worried that Nintendo will rape it and call it a remake just to get money out of it. I'd definitely still play it, just because it's GS, so, but, yeah, now I'm just getting incomprehensible *shuts up* >_>

Pokemon gold and silver remake?
It has been rumored for a while , but no one knows for certain. Although after being a geek and phoning nintendo they said that they are not allowed to give any information on upcoming or new games. So this baltently mean there going to remake it right? But the bad point are... Nintendo wouldnt gain anything from remakeing these games. All the gold and silver pokemon (apart from Suicune, Entei , Raiku , Ho-oh Lugia and celebi) Are obatainable through diamond and pearl. Another thing is that one of the best features of gold and silver was that you could go back to kanto after jhoto had been completed. Fire red and leaf green were only made a year or so bak so the option to go back to kanto AGAIN will be stupid and boring unless they change it and you can go back to an updated version of sinnoh. but as people have said there alot of refferences to jhoto in d/p but allthough i loved theses games i think there is a very slim chance of a remake. which is unfortunate. --------------------    :-DANNY!:) |

i got crystal for my 9th or 10th bday, can't remember which, along with my gbc, and it is still my fave. A remake with all 4 regions in oe game (32 badges!!) would rock

If something like this were to be released, it'd be better than Diamond/Pearl by far. No questions.

I think they wont bother with a remake, they've preety much finished pokemon as a whole.

I think they will make a remake.
But probably for the 5th gen... And if they do make a remke, it better allow you to go to another land. If not then I won't buy it. -------------------- Don't worry of what people think about you. i dont think that they'll remake it. they tried to make up for that by managing to release all of the johto pokemon. it would be very nice if they did remake the game though. nintendo would probably release it just to stall time for production of the next generation.

I remember when I got pokemon Gold for my 9th birthday... It came with my GBC and I also got a pack of cards... I beat the ENTIRE game.. I mean every pokemon, right down to Celebi and Mew... the only thing that sucks is that its outdated, so no one cares anymore... *sigh*
As much as I'd like a G/S remake, I dont think it'd happen. what would they call it? Fool'sGold and QuickSilver? If they did, i'd totally buy it though. by the way, ever notice that G/S was the only game where you could explore TWO regions? even though the second region is kanto... I miss Johto. By far the best region. It wasn't floded with water, like Hoenn. I hate tentacool. And it wasn't going thorugh a drought or something, Like Sinnoh. and you didn't have to walk through a billion caves, like Kanto. I HATE Zubat. if there were two pokemon I could kill for good, it would be Zubat and Tentacool. Blegh. --------------------  Would you like a Falafel with that? |

That's the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard about the series. It's one of the highest selling series' in the video game industry. Every single Pokemon game has made a "Top ___" list. I don't specifically remember it, but I'm pretty sure it was the top ten best selling games ever. Don't quote me on that. Anyway, the point is that the series is far too popular and well-selling NOT to continue, which would include another remake at some point.
