Dream Team

Name: Aussie Winters
Age: 16
Hometown: Barley

Appearance: Aussie is on the short side for someone her age, being only 5 foot. She is naturally pale. When she stands next to someone else she can make the whitest people look tan. Her hair is just as white as her lusterless pale skin. Her hair is so white it couldn't be natural, and most likely it is bleached. Unlike her hair and skin, her eyes is a deep dark blue that contrasts largely with the rest of her pale body.

The first thing that's noticeable about her is her huge and widely expressive eyes that have a glint of curiosity and mystery to them. Her lips are rather thin and are pale rose pink. Her cheeks are slightly sunken in and the hollows under her eyes slightly discolored from lack of sleep, but don't be fooled by her sickly appearance. She is as healthy and vigorous as any 16 year old. She has the build of a runner, thin and wiry muscles.

Her legs appear to be a bit long for someone only 5 feet, and so she often has problems finding jeans that fit her well. She prefers to wear a pair of tan bermuda shorts then jeans. She also wears a simple blue polo shirt that is a few shades darker then the sky, but not as dark as her eyes. Her shoes are a simple pair of athletic white shnikes (that's right shnikes, not nikes) that are covered in dirt and starting to fall apart from overuse.

She has her hair tied back in a high ponytail with a blue hair tie that matches her shirt. On the rare occasions she decides to let her hair down, it reaches to just below her shoulder. Her hair is naturally pencil-straight, but she wishes it would curl. She has tried to curl it often without success. Her constant companions are a green pen tucked behind her ear and a notebook that is usually seen sticking out of the front pocket of her bermuda shorts. When they aren't in their respective places, she is usually using them to scribble down notes about something that caught her attention.

Over her shoulder she carries a plain tan messenger bag with an infinity of pockets. The bag looks as if it would burst at the seams because it is so full of extra notebooks and pencils, and not to mention anything else she's carrying such as berries and potions. On her arm there is a simple gold bracelet with a round blue charm in the shape of a wailmer dangling off it. Her face is thin and heart-shaped, and her eyes take up the majority of her face. Her eyelashes are long and black, causing them to pop next to her snow-white hair and pale skin.

Her nose is rather small and dainty, which it has to be too able to have room on her face that is taken mostly up by her eyes. Her mouth is rather small as well. The mixture of the large eyes and small thin face gives her a rather alien and otherworldly appearance. The hollows under her eyes also make her eyes look only that much bigger. She doesn't wear makeup or anything else to improve her appearance. Most of her apparel appears rather simple and plain, with only the gold wailmer bracelet to give the outfit a little personality, but figuring her rather outlandish alienish appearance she doesn't need to dress up stylishly to get stares.

Personality: She is constantly surveying the world with her large expressive eyes, silently taking it in and mulling it over. She is always curious, and is known to randomly take out her notebook and pen to make notes for only she knows what purposes. Sometimes when she is observing something she will sit there for hours, just watching, without getting bored. If someone tries to talk to her while she is observing something or taking notes she will get extremely agitated at being interrupted. If bothered she will most likely rashly proclaim she wishes to battle the person who bothered her to "teach them a lesson" about annoying her.

On most other occasions she is rather calm and levelheaded, only battling people she thinks she may have a chance of beating. She has been known to bite on her pen when deep in thought. She is rather shy and does not approach people easily, but when she starts to like you she never stops talking. She can go on for hours unless you calmly tell her it's time to be quiet. She has a tendency to say random and stupid things that make no sense to anyone but herself. These remarks seem to slip out of her mouth without thinking.

She loves to debate the issues, and could argue for hours about philosophical and scientific issues. Her moods are rather unpredictable. On some days all she wants to do is talk her mouth off, and on other days anyone would be lucky to get a few words out of her, much less a sentence. She loves reading any kind of book, unless it's a murder mystery. Along with her pen and notebooks there is at least one book always in her bag. Along with taking notes on things she sees, she also dabbles in writing poetry and stories. It is something she enjoys but does not wish to make a career out of because most of what she writes is very personal and she wouldn't want others reading it. The way to make her the maddest is to read any of her notebooks without permission. Most likely if someone did, she would never talk to them or even look at them again. She will often asks her friends to read some of her works to give her critiques though.

She is also free-spirited, preferring to go where she wishes when she wants. She's not the one to hang around with friends every day and go to the movies (though she does this, just not as regularly as other teenagers). She would prefer to sit outside alone in a sunny meadow and just enjoy the day and think. She has several wild pokemon as friends and she will spend an hour a day or so just feeding them, petting them, and studying their behaviors. She does have a sense of humor, but she only seems to laugh at things that are random and strange. Aussie enjoys many things about pokemon such as battling, breeding, and contests. She seems to dabble a little bit in each category, but her main dream is to be a pokemon researcher.

Biography: Aussie was originally born in Johto, but at a young age her parents died in an unfortunate car accident. She was sent to live with her only other living relative, an aunt in Barley, Furoh at the age of 5. Aussie doesn't remember much of her parents, only that their names were Lydia and Thomas. She thinks of her aunt as her real mother.

Aussie had an adventurous life. Her aunt (named Georgia) was constantly traveling and often brought her along on trips and so Aussie got to see many different things her younger years. This is where her love of studying pokemon developed. She saw so many things, but she was always eager to see more, do more, and learn more. It was on a trip to Mount Carello that she met her first pokemon. She had wandered off on her own after her aunt set up camp and she was lost in the woods. She was wandering around and starting to get scared when a little pokemon came out of the trees and made it's way up to her.

It was small and light brown with a large nose. It came up to her and rubbed against her leg and started making little crying noises like a baby. Aussie just happened to have a pokeball with her that was a gift from her aunt for her 10th birthday and so she caught it, because she was alone and needed a friend. She let it out and she cuddled with it for warmth. The little creature continued its piercing little cry throughout the day, and it was that that led the search party to Aussie finally.

When they got back to camp her aunt told her it was a little baby girl swinub that probably got separated from her mother. The little swinub had probably mistaken Aussie for her mother and that's why she approached her. Since she was still a baby Aussie and her aunt raised her themselves until she was old enough to battle, and in the process she became Aussie's inseparable friend. The swinub followed her everywhere, earning her the nickname Shadow because it was always attached to her side.

Over the next few years Aussie saved up her allowance until she could afford another pokeball and finally she got enough money after her 12th birthday to buy another. She spent the next year looking for just the right pokemon to catch but she never seemed to find it, until one night she went out and saw a glowing pair of red eyes in the bushes watching her. Curious as she was, she walked up to the bushes and pushed the branches aside to find a smaller then usual Hoothoot.

She looked into the little creatures eyes and it was love at first sight. She caught the little pokemon and brought it home. When her aunt first saw it she nearly laughed and said that if Aussie was ever a pokemon in a former life she would have been a Hoothoot because of the large eyes and they both had a curious nature. They were even both small compared to the rest of their species. The little Hoothoot earned the nickname Mimic because she was so like her trainer in every way. Aussie continued to travel Furoh with her aunt for several years, but as she got older she got more and more anxious to have adventures of her own, and so on her 16th birthday she set out to do precisely that.

Denied. Faint attack and rockslide are a bit too strong for lower levels. I have no problem with these pokemon knowing the attacks, but not this early. Take them out and you will be approved.

Also, your starting pokemon can have a total level of 15. You can, if you wish, make Shadow 8 and Mimic 7, or vice versa. You will not have to to be accepted, though.

Lastly, if her Shnikes are falling into disrepair, does that mean she has holey shnikes?

All fixed

Although swinub and hoothoot both could learn those attacks at that level as long as one of their parents knew it when they're eggs. My book told me so. Just like some pokemon can learn HM moves from their parents. A hoothoot can even learn a move as strong as sky attack from their parents as long as the parent knows it. A bit of breeding knowledge there I guess.

Lol I didn't even think of that. They would be holy shnikes XD

You are correct, however in a RP such as this, it can be overpowering. As I said before, I don't mind if you introduce the move in later RPs after they've gained more levels, but at the level they're at, it's a bit too much and I'd prefer to err on the side of caution. happy.gif

Approved. Please make a Current Levels post here and enjoy PANE
