i just read the bios, and im guessing the destiny bond dusknoir (still) has with mari is gonna be really important later in the story
im guessing that someone's going to try to kill dusknoir, and possibly injure her badly, which would transfer as damage to mari
reasonable assumption, no?

You are most correct. This is not Mari's Grovyle. I WAS WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO REALIZE THIS.

I had my suspicions about Grovyle quite early on actually.

I honestly couldn't tell you without running back through the panels. First the way Grovyle was acting threw me off and then later Kadabra's suspicions kind of added to it.

Actually, it was Grovyle himself casting suspicion on Sharpedo at the end of Chapter One. This was actually because Grovyle noticed Sharpedo could tell something was off. Nothing else was said until Sharpedo noticed something was off about Gallade and Cleffa - which, incidentally, was the smell (remember he could find Magikarp by following his smell). It was the same way something was 'off' about Grovyle.

But no suspicion was ever directly cast on Grovyle by any of Mari's pokémon. Sharpedo could tell something was off, but it was never explicitly stated.

Kadabra never said anything about suspecting him.

Anyway, MOAR UPDATIN'.

Aw nuts, it's never a good thing when they laugh maniacally. :(


Explanation: Destiny Bond will only KO the opponent if the user is KO'd by an attack from the opponent. It won't work if the user is killed indirectly (ie poison, burn) or KOs themselves (ie recoil damage, curse).

So, is Ditto saying that he can kill Grovyle, but Dusknoir will still be alive? *doesn't understand who's killing whom*

Also, if ANYONE kills Dusknoir, will they die? Like, not just who Dusknoir used Destiny Bond on?
