Completely not the personality I was thinking of... Never really imagined Zangeese as the whiny self-obsessed type. But, it's your story. If I were Mari in this situation, I think I'd be sorely tempted to let Dialga keep Zangoose...

OK folks, a lot of people lately seem to read Side B before Side A (probably since B is shorter), and that is... not good! Mostly because since Side A moves faster, a lot of things that already happened in Side A are relevant to Side B. And of course, the opposite is also true. People who've been following both sides from the start have been reading in the "proper" order, but new readers are likely to not realize this. So!

We've gone and tried to establish a "proper" reading order for these. And we've settled for:

Side A Chapter 1 & 2
Side B Chapter 1 & 2
Side A Chapter 3 & 4
Side B Chapter 3
Side A Chapter 5

It's not ideal (esp. since A-2 and the latter half of B-1 were ongoing simultaneously and Houndoom and Dusknoir were introduced in Side B and A first respectively), but it's better than reading all of one side first, then all of the other side.

I've edited the first post to include the reading order suggestion~

I actually read both sides one at a time because as I started reading Side A it just became more intriguing with every new panel.

I could see how a reader could become confused though.

I totally agree with that, Pokemon would be like people, difference based on personality not specie (or race or wtfever) i like this Zangoose though, honestly i don't normally like them, but this one is.. how do you say, interesting.

I also rather like how there are faults, e.g. not perfect... how to say.. "mary sue"-isms, but that they have imperfections and differences, real personalities (this is true for sei's also)

nothing bore me more than stereotypes (so i gotta admit the "accidentally nude for no fault of their own "eek pervert!!" *clash*" -routine got old for me pretty quick, but you don't tend to over do it CONSTANTLY (Love Hina etc.) so you have a good balance going on)

I find this (and side B, naturally) fully entertaining and interesting, there's plot and personality. as well as cute and sexy art, which are things i fully approve of

one thing: some times i find it hard to understand who is saying/doing what, from colourless not-fullface-outfit and only text panels, I would adore if there was some "legend" as to which colour text belongs to who, and if maybe some specific always coloured part is always there. the sparse colouring both you and sei use makes for *very* dramatic and nice effect, one can really tell that you both think about how to use colour to bring about the mood you want in your panels

heh. sorry if this post got to long and stuff, I try to give meaningful and constructive feedback to things i really enjoy.

re Ditto: i honestly think a hermaphrodite ditto would be awesome, it would (in a pokejinkaworld) make some sort of sense (well to me)

Re: color & text

I tend to try and choose colors that fit the pokémon in question (so blue for Sharpedo, green for Gallade, red for Magikarp, etc), though when possible I make it so it's clear who's speaking via the speech bubble itself (which "points" to the speaker).

Mari: peach/cherry red
Grovyle, Gallade: green
Sharpedo, Dialga: blue
Kadabra, Ryan: yellow/orange/brown
Magikarp: red
Cleffa, Dittos: pink
Dusknoir, Houndoom: gray/black
Zangoose: magenta lettering with gray speech bubbles

If you ever find instances in which it's difficult to tell who's talking when it SHOULD be obvious, though, please let me know! I'll try to clarify. (Sometimes I leave it intentionally ambiguous, however.)

And now! ANOTHER UPDATE! :D
