Rosie's Team

Name: Rosie Evans
Age: 13
Hometown: Outskirts of Barley

Appearance: Rosie is tall for her age, and tanned from plenty of time spent out in the sun. She's strong from doing farm work and is much more muscular than the average thirteen year-old girl. Her hair is a dark blonde, which she usually ties back in a ponytail or a braid. She has blue eyes, and her face is covered with freckles. She always wears blue jeans, usually with a casual T-shirt. She's also got her best Sunday dress with her, just in case she happens to enter a contest.

Personality: Rosie has a very sunny personality. It takes a lot to get her down, and even then she bounces back very quickly. She also has a bit of a temper: make her mad enough, and she might even attack you. She's very self-sufficient, and doesn't mind travelling alone with her Pokemon, but she also enjoys having the company of humans from time to time. Being young, she's still not quite sure what she wants to do with herself; for now, she's content to simply travel the world with her Pokemon. She embraces battling and contests with equal enthusiasm.

Biography: Rosie is the only child of Tom and Martha Evans. She was born on her parent's farm, which is located near Barley. Her parents grew crops to help feed the people of the nearby city, and also raised some Pokemon. There weren't many other children living nearby, so from a young age Rosie began to keep company with the farm's Pokemon. It became a main part of her chores to see to the needs of her new friends, so she knows all about how to take care of Pokemon.

When she was eleven, she was milking one of the family's Miltank, when the Pokemon was startled by a noise and used Stomp, breaking Rosie's foot. She was on crutches for a month, and though she quickly forgave the Miltank, her parents were from then on leery of letting her around the larger Pokemon. Instead, Rosie started to tend to the small flock of Mareep and Flaffy the family kept.

One day, a ewe laid an egg. This happened fairly often, but this egg was noticeable because it was much smaller than the usual. Tom and Martha were afraid that it wouldn't survive on its own, so Rosie took it in and kept it warm and dry. Within a few weeks, the egg hatched into a tiny Mareep. Instead of giving the hatchling back to its mother, Rosie's parents decided to let her keep it. Rosie was delighted with her new friend, and began to train the little creature so that it could be just as big and strong as its siblings.

The training went well, well enough that a few months later Rosie was able to catch her second Pokemon: a male Nidoran she and Jubilee caught sniffing around the barn for loose bits of Pokemon food. With these two, Rosie decided that she was finally ready to set off on her journey.
