Name: Curtis Bryant
Age: 15
Hometown: Gigarte

Appearance: Curtis, or Curt for short, likes to be different. Step 1 for being different: different hair! Indeed, his hair is not a black or brown, or even the now semi-popular unorthodox white. It is blue. A deep blue, accented thickly on messy hair that, along with the crimson headgear constantly blaring out music, tells you that he's a rocker of some sort. To be precise, his hair is flat down ont he sides, with a couple spikes in the back. In the front it is the most wild, with long bangs. One in particular strands out, being shaped like a lightning bolt of some sort due to the part in his hair near the front that cretes a fold-like effect on the very front bang. His face is a standard triangular shape, with a jutting chin and a wide forehead with eyes that are placed in just the right way, as nature usually seems to place them. His eyebrows are also blue, somehow, and his beetle-black eyes show the end of the deep blue shade that marks him from that point up-aside from bright red headphones, which are hooked to an Mp3 in his left pocket.

The standard wear on the top half of his body is a loose t-shirt of some variety, usually black with some sort of logo on it, usually local. Seeing as it can get pretty cold pretty quick, he also comes equipped with an old-looking brown coat, which is pretty thick but still manages not to be a burden. The collar is approximately two and a half inches tall, and covers just above half of the neck when the coat is done up. The zipper is in okay condition, sometimes getting stuck, to Curtis's chagrin. To complete his outfit, he usually dons jeans, although track pants are not uncommon on a slow day. The jeans are usually the standard denim blue, and most of his pairs of track pants are gray or black. These pants are quite loose, as per the hip fashion of the day, being held up by a sea green belt with six slots for pokemon to chill out when not walking about with Curtis on his routine escapades-or running, for that matter. His shoes are usually the same, however, black skateboard shoes that look rather worn compared to some of the others in the underground city Curtis calls home.

Personality: Curtis is just a leeetle bit eccentric. He loves his pokemon very much despite the fact that he often pranks them an inch too far, much to chagrin of Commadore, who has attempted to escape numerous times after the application of his name 'Commadore Wumbles'. He is able to waver from these cruel little jokes, however, seeing as he eventually began to just call him 'Commadore'. This also provided him with some blackmail material, however, showing more of his sly, 'evil' nature. He often goes out on adventures, and is not opposed to bending the rules for a little fun. For example, shoplifting a poke ball or something. His train of thought is pretty much "They lost a couple bucks in profit, which I easily make up for when I get them the legit way (tips, I'm such a good boy), I get a nice little adrenaline rush and a poke ball out of the deal!". In battle, he trusts his pokemon, which sort of sets him apart. Not to say other people don't trust their pokemon, but not in the particular way that Curtis does. He allows them to improvise, finding that shouting things like 'dodge!' unnecessary. If he has a stroke of genius, yeah, he'll order them around. Same with a strategy he has worked out. But when he needs to think on a strategy, he allows them to follow their instincts, taking a risk by letting them think for themselves. After all, if they are eventually released for one reason or another, who's gonna order them around when they are staring down a hungry Houndoom? Not him. His way of improvising a strategy mid-battle also gives credit to his intelligence, as well.

Due to his upbeat nature, it is hard to get him angry. It isn't even that hard to tell the difference between angry and happy moods, seeing as he shouts either way. He also has a tendency to make random references to anime that he watches, a thing that makes his friends often facepalm in the face of his pathetic grasps at humor. He does pull it off occasionally, however, and laughs at even the unfunniest of jokes. So don't say he doesn't have a funny bone in his body.

Biography: He was born five years after the city had been overrun with pollution, driving away all good-hearted and poison-fearing inhabitants to the underground city several miles north. It took a while to settle in, and some people were uncomfortable with having children. Would they be horrible mutants from the severe pollutants? Some of them men and women coming in were even infertile. So he was maybe about the tenth baybe to be born in those years, more or less, due to the fear around what could result. Well, he was fine. That lead to increased confidence. So, maybe even in birth, he accomplished something nice. Even now, he believes that, and is a pretty big boost to his self-confident. Heck, he had a lot to be confident about growing up. He got his first pokemon early, having bartered a Zigzagoon from a trapper. He had been saving up for a Scyther fromt he local Game Corner, but little Cooper was even better than the giant mantis ever would have been. Maybe. Well, he was happy with Cooper, and that was all that mattered. He was about nine at the time, able to gloat about his precious ziggy for about a year before the other kids his age went off. Unlike others, Curtis decided to stay at school for a couple years.

He completed elementary and middle school, and two years of high school, giving him skills that would allow him to hopefully trump the more street-savvy trainers that left at the tender age of ten. His birthday being in december, he is still fifteen, rather young for a grade ten 'dropout'. He has decided to scout out the area to make sure that he is able to evade the more dangerous zones around his parent's former home, an area full of bandits and haunts. It seems that he has been able to map out his perfect course...
So time to set out!
