Not sure if this has been done before but I used the Search function and didn't find anything like this, so I thought, why not, eh? This was based on this meme. Basically, let's create awesome gyms through randomness! ON TO THE STEPS: 1.) Go to random.org and generate a number between 2 and 6. This is the number of Pokemon you're allowed to use in your gym battles. 2.) Still on random.org, generate a number between 0 to 18. This will be the type of your gym. 0 = choose your own type. 3.) Go to http://www.wyncorporation.com/pokemon and generate your Pokemon team, keeping in mind how many Pokemon you're allowed to use in your gym battles and the gym's type specialty. Exclude legendaries but include NFE (Not Fully Evolved). This is your team. 4.) Describe your gym. Does it have riddles, challenges, and/or puzzles? You can skip this if you want. 5.) Open Windows Media Player/iTunes/VLC, etc. Play random music. The first one is your Gym Battle Theme. 6.) Quotes. What do you say "before the battle/rematch," "after the first non-KO hit," "after sending out the final Pokemon," "when defeated," and "after being defeated"? Do the same for rematch battles. 7.) Rematch. Generate another team. This time you're allowed to have 6 Pokemon but exclude both legendaries and NFE. My Results (click to show ) <div class='quotemain' style='display:none;'>I loved Ecruteak Gym (Morty) in Generation II, so I'm definitely ripping that off. Remember the pitch-black floors and the Trainer being forced to "randomly" figure out the way to Morty or get teleported back to the starting point? Yeah, something trolly like that deserves to be a feature of a Ghost-type Gym. This gym is either the fourth or fifth gym of a region and is filled with Hex Maniacs and at least two Mysterious Sisters for coolness. -- Yamask♀, Lv.32 Ominous Wind, Will-O-Wisp, Hex, Destiny Bond Drifblim♀, Lv.34 Gust, Payback, Astonish, Ominous Wind Banette (Mega)♀, Lv.36 Sucker Punch, Shadow Claw, Shadow Sneak, Knock Off --- Before the battle Eh? Oh, you want to battle? Mm-hm... Well, okay, show me your stuff. I need the practice, anyway. After the first non-KO hit Ooooh... This is getting interesting. After sending out the final Pokemon Don't celebrate too early, sweetheart. It might come back to haunt you. When defeated Well... Looks like I'm dead. After being defeated Heh! That was great. You were great! Who knew, right? I mean, uhh... Here, take this. That's the Spooky Badge. It'll allow you to use Surf outside of battle, granted that you have a Pokemon that knows Surf, as well as make Pokemon up to level 50 obey you, even those you get in trades. Don't forget this: TM65, Shadow Claw. You never see that move coming until you're down and out. Well, what more can I say? You beat me. Now go beat the others. --- Banette♀, Lv.63 Shadow Claw, Faint Attack, Thunderbolt, Will-O-Wisp Aegislash♂, Lv.63 Shadow Sneak, King's Shield, Sacred Sword, Head Smash Shedinja, Lv.65 Shadow Sneak, Confuse Ray, Grudge, Heal Block Jellicent♂, Lv.65 Ominous Wind, Recover, Water Pulse, Toxic Froslass♀, Lv.67 Destiny Bond, Ominous Wind, Wake-Up Slap, Blizzard Sableye♀, Lv.68 Mean Look, Shadow Sneak, Brick Break, Dark Pulse --- Before the rematch Eh? Have we met before? Oh, yeah, I remember you! Well, okay, let's see if you've gotten better. After the first non-KO hit Ooooh... I should've seen that coming. After sending out the final Pokemon Looking good, sweetheart. But I'm not dead yet. When defeated Well... That came back to haunt me. After being defeated Heh! I knew you'd be great from the very start, sweetheart. I had no doubts, not a single one. You've gotten stronger, more formidable, than before. Not that I didn't expect that from you but, well, you've exceeded my expectations. Great work! Don't forget to come back any time you're itching for a battle, all right? Next time, it won't end the same.</div></div> This post has been edited by Santoulong: Jan 1 2016, 06:28 AM -------------------- |

EDIT: I redid mine, cause it didn't really make sense.
---------------------------- 1. 4 Pokemon 2. Dark types 3. Zorua, Murkrow, Houndour, Umbreon. 4. The gimmick is a maze in pitch darkness, with only a small circle of light around your character. There are clues written on the walls to help you find your way through the maze, as well as trainers scattered around if you go the wrong way. There are torches with blue fire that light up where the clues are on the wall. The Gym Leader's room is circular, and a ring of blue fire surrounds where he stands. An obsidian Houndoom head hangs above the Leader's head. 5. Battle theme: All Hail Shadow - Crush 40 ver. 6. Before battle: "So, you made it through the darkness, huh? Good for you, but that's only half of your challenge. I'll show you why it's not smart to fear the dark!" After 1st Non-OHKO: "Where'd that come from?" Final Pokemon: "It's what's in the dark you gotta watch out for!" Defeat: "I'll stay in the shadows..." After Defeat: "Whew! What a fight! I see how you defeated the Leaders before you. Anyway, here's the Shade Badge. *Gives badge* Oh! One more thing, take this TM. *Gives TM of Dark Pulse* That's Dark Pulse. It's a strong attack and even has the chance to make your opponent flinch! 7. Rematch Team: Spiritomb, Honchkrow, Zoroark, Umbreon, Houndoom w/ Houndoomite. Rematch theme: All Hail Shadow - Magna Fi ver. Before battle: "Well you're back! You've gotten stronger, I can tell. But can you follow what you can't see?" After 1st Non-OHKO: "Just a scratch!" Final Pokemon: "Ha ha! This is the greatest fight of my life!" Defeat: "Ouch...beaten down..." After Defeat: "Not even my best Pokemon could beat you! You've gotten better for sure! And for giving me such a good fight, I'll give you a little something. *Gives Blackglasses* Those Blackglasses will raise the power Dark type moves when held by a Pokemon. Not to mention, they look pretty slick! See you around!" This post has been edited by The Majestic Mr L: Jul 5 2014, 03:53 AM -------------------- Light is a spectrum. 1. 6 Pokémon
2. 3 (Dragon) 3. Noivern, Sliggoo, Dragonair, Shelgon, Tyrantrum, Axew 4. Maze-like qualities within a rocky cave-like environment within the gym, split into 4 quadrants. Jagged stone pillars in the shape of dragon teeth will jut out in the path here and there, indicating you've gone the wrong way. After 10 seconds of walking, the quadrant will shuffle round, and after every battle it'll shuffle around again. Once you finally reach the end of the quadrant you have to answer a question (could be simple, could be challenging) to test your skills as a trainer. 5. Rocks - Imagine Dragon 6. Before the battle: "Ohoho, you've gotten through my maze. You must be one talented trainer to get this far, but I must test if you truly are as talented as you appear to be, through the power of Dragons." First non-KO: "You and your Pokémon share a close bond together.. however nothing as strong as the connection between me and my own Pokémon!" Last Pokémon: "This cannot be.. the bond.. it's amazing!" Defeated: "...Congratulations, trainer." Afterwards: "The bond between you and your Pokémon is indeed strong. I congratulate your efforts of making it this far, and you now deserve this badge." Rematch: "I see you've come to challenge me again? I won't lose this time. The bond between me and my dragons is unbreakable. You may have defeated me once already, but it will not happen again!" Rematch team: Goodra, Druddigon, Noivern, Mega-Garchomp, Dragalge, Haxorus This post has been edited by Samoo: May 26 2014, 11:16 AM -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. 4 Pokemon
Rock type gym (FFFF just like my Friend Safari! >:/ ) Team: Archen, Amaura, Shieldon, Kabuto (Yay! A bunch of cute fossils!) Since I've got fossils to go with it, I'd have a tropical ruins themed gym, sort of like Geyser Rock from Jak and Daxter. The gym would be carved out of a great rock off the coast and have no roof. A pontoon bridge would lead challengers to it. Ancient carvings and artifacts could be seen jutting out of the floor and walls. There would be ankle-high clear water in the gym. Small garden lamps would be placed around so that players could see at night. To progress to the back of the gym, challengers would have to solve tile puzzles exactly like the ones at the Ruins of Alph. The reason for this is because the path snakes to the back of the gym, filled with sharp, pointed rocks that you can't just walk on. Solving the puzzles causes them to recede into the floor and reveal the water that they can safely walk through. Trainers would be peppered throughout on the outside edges of the path. There would be some dead ends that some of the puzzles would open up. Flight Over Venice 1 - Assassin's Creed II OST (Actually really nice for this gym!) Quotes:
Rematch Team: Gigalith, Rampardos, Solrock, Tyranitar, Mega-Aerodactyl, Rhyperior (Eh, I'd do a whole team of fully evolved fossils, personally, but this team is still great.) -------------------- |

Well, let's see how you can take on my iron-clad team! After first non-KO hit: Well done. But you'll have to keep up that pace to defeat me! After sending out final Pokémon: Wow, you're pretty good! But this is where I truly shine; on the brink! Upon defeat: Impressive. You've shown that you can bypass even the greatest defenses. After defeat: You've shown that your ardent passion can garner you a victory over the most adamant foes. Very well then, take this Badge, as proof that you defeated me. *Badge Get: Ferrous Badge* That's the Ferrous Badge. It'll allow you to command the loyalty of Pokémon up to Lv. 60, even traded ones. Gym Type: Rock
Number of pokemon: 6 Pokemon: Corsola, Gigalith, Aurorus, Rhyhorn, Tyrannitar, Kabuto My gym will have marble floors and a bunch of statues, both big and small. The large statues will have parts move if you press a button, similar to the ones in the Opelucid gym from Black/White (though the buttons aren't located on the statues themselves). The gym will also have a few smaller statues, but those are just for decoration. Theme: Float On- Modest Mouse Quotes: Before Battle: Greetings [Player Name], I am Marbury. To many people, rocks are something you might not even regard, provided they don't accidentally get lodged into their shoe. For me, however, when I see a stone, I see potential. Potential for magnificence. The earth is full of these relics, waiting to carved into masterpiece. Let's create a masterpiece right now, with a battle that shall be inscribed into the walls of history. First Hit: The defenses of my pokemon are not to be underestimated. Final Pokemon: This is the last of my masterpieces. Think you can reduce it to rubble like you did the others? Upon Defeat: That was a bust... After Battle: *Gives badge*. That is the Marble Badge, indicating that you have beaten my gym and are ready to move on to the next stepping stone on your quest to become the Champion. [He also says this if you talk to him after beating him] *Gives TM* That TM contains Rock Polish. It clears away all the dirt and makes the rocks true power shine through. Rematch: Congratulations upon beating the champion, as well as stopping *Villanous Team*. I'm sure that future artists will create masterpieces regarding your magnificent triumph. Until then, care for a rematch? Rematch team: Solrock, Magcargo, Probopass, Crustle, Tyrannitar, Golem This post has been edited by Whispy: Jun 19 2014, 12:25 AM -------------------- |

Gym Type: Electric
Number of Pokémon: 4 Pokémon: Manectric, Electrode, Electabuzz and Ampharos In this gym, it will be a training ground that will feature monkey bars and the gym will be similar to the Saffron City Gym with portals that will lead to the gym leader or other trainers. Theme: American Gladiators 1994 theme Quotes: Before Battle: Hey Trainer, I'm Zap. I like things with all electric stuff and in case you haven't forgot I'm a Gladiator with heart and determination of a warrior. You wish you challenge me? Very well, but I will not lose to a trainer like you. First Hit: Time to bring some Zap in this battle. Final Pokemon: Last one, my teammates will not be pleased Upon Defeat: A loss is a loss, but you won the battle and I'm pleased. After Battle: Impressive battle! I'm stunned by your performance, here's your badge: the Thunderstorm badge. *gives the badge*, all Pokémon who are level 50 will now obey you and the move Strength will be used. Here's a gift for your hard work *gives the TM* TM25 is Thunder, it can lead a strike and cause damage and it may cause paralysis as well. Rematch: Nice to see you again trainer! You did awesome the first time around against me, but I've grown stronger with a new team, so get ready to feel the power of the zapster. Let's battle! 1.) 6
2.) 13; Normal. 3.) Helioptile, Chansey, Lickilicky, Skitty, Sawsbuck, Togepi. I really really really hate Lickilicky, but at least I've got Skitty and Togepi.. 4.) Think of Whitney's gym on steroids. Multiple layers of stairs going up and down all over the place. Also, randomly placed doors/trapdoors with puzzles (Professor Layton-style) that must be solved for the door to be unlocked and for the challenger to continue. 5.) I Don't Love You by My Chemical Romance. Wow, that's awful gym battle music. 6.) First battle Before: "What, you actually made it here? Well, I'm almost impressed! You're clearly no idiot so far, so let's see if that still holds true during our battle..." After first KO: "Ouch, I think I got a bug bite." After sending out final Pokemon: "Jeez, you pushed us this far... we're going to have to go all-out now!" When defeated: "... ... ...So much for all-out..." After being defeated: "Well, looks like you beat my hoard. Congratulations. Instead of a TM and a badge, how does another puzzle sound? ...No? Well, you've got the Elite Four and Champion for that. Go out and get 'em." Rematch Before: "You're back, huh? Here to rub it in? You already beat me once, so we already know how this is going to turn out. Except I'm going to be using some stronger Pokemon, so there's always a chance..." After first KO: "Hey, no need to be so serious." After sending out final Pokemon: "'Solving' a puzzle you've already solved once isn't considered impressive, you know." When defeated: "That's a wrap." After being defeated: "It's not like I have anything else for you. You already have my badge. Thanks for entertaining me, anyway." 7.) Clefable, Pidgeot, Audino, Fearow, Blissey, Lickilicky (again?!) -------------------- Credits!! (click to show ) |

3 Pokémon, Fire-type gym
Initial Team: Cyndaquil, Litwick, and Torkoal. Dang, must be a pretty-early-on gym. o3o Rematch Team:Mega Charizard Y, Pyroar, Houndoom, Typhlosion, Volcarona, and Chandelure. Oh, I'm so happy with this! Riddles: Given that my initial team seems like such an early-on team (I'm thinking first-gym worthy), I'll make my puzzle a little easy. A simple maze in the shape of a flame (think Blaine's gym badge) with elements of Whitney's gym like going up/down stairs. Trainers would be scattered around the gym, with at least one required trainer hiding where the player can barely see them (cuz everyone if not almost everyone gets really annoyed by that that, amirite? ). Battle Music: Dragonforce - The Last Journey Home Quotes: Initial Battle: Before battle: Welcome! Are you from around here? ... Ah, so you've just started your journey! And this is your first gym battle? Very well! I'll introduce you to the fiery passion the gym leaders of this region are known for! After 1st non-KO hit: Did my flame just flicker? Nah, I must've been seeing things! Final Pokémon: Think you can defeat me so easily, hotshot? Defeat: Burnt out already... Afterward:Wow, you're tougher than you look for a newbie! Congratulations on your first gym badge! *presents badge* That's the Pyrolysis badge, good for making all Pokémon up to *insert level here* obey you. Oh, and take this, too! *presents TM* That's the TM for Flame Charge, a fire-type move that damages your opponent and raises the speed of the Pokémon using it. Feel free to use that TM as much as you want! Rematch: Before battle: Hello again! I've heard about so many of your accomplishments, and I've been waiting for a rematch. Care to show me how strong you've gotten since you earned your first gym badge? After 1st non-KO hit: Oof! That certainly caused a sizzle! Final Pokémon: My fire isn't out yet! Defeat: Another defeat... but I'm okay with it. You've certainly improved! Afterward: It's great to see trainers like you come to me for their first gym badge, then go on to accomplish great things with their strength and skills. I got the feeling you'd do just that when we first met, and I'm glad to see I was right. Let's rematch again sometime! -------------------- Various Things (click to show ) |

1.Number of Pokemon: 3
2.Type: Ghost (9) 3.Pokemon: Cofagarigus, Chandelure, Aegislash-Shield 4.Gimmick: Gym starts out with one room, required trainer fight. In each room, there are two doors. One leads to a normal, human trainer, one leads to a ghost taking on a human trainer's form. The trainer you beat gives you a hint on which room contains the ghost. If you end up in the human's room, you can choose to battle and get the hint, or skip it and try your luck on the next set of doors. If you end up in the ghost's room, you're forced to battle it. 5. Theme: [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVc4OD4Q6T0]Swing! Tavi, Swing! by Joaftheloaf 6. Quotes: Before Battle: You made it! Did you enjoy my haunted house? I sure hope you did, because if you didn't bring your best, you'll join it soon! Now face me and my untouchable Pokemon! After 1st Non-KO Hit: Hm? You actually landed a hit? Final Pokemon: Enough busting my ghosts! Defeat: So you won't join my gym? Fine... Afterwards: Well, you've beaten me! As promised by the rules, I'll give you my badge. Now, if you excuse me, my Pokemon need to rest in peace... Get it? Rematch: 1. Rematch Team: Jellicent, Shedinja, Aegislash-Sword, Froslass, Mismagius, Gengar 2. Rematch Quotes: Before Battle: You're back! Tell ya, you got spirit kid. But let's see how ya face up to these ones! Get ready for a terrifying defeat! 1st Non-KO Hit: We're not letting our spirits down! ... I already used that? Final Pokemon: It's -tomb- bad you've lost now... Defeat: That was... Rock-type gym
Theme: Born Free by M.I.A. The gym would be more of an action type mountain climbing gym with different paths and moving boulders for obstacles/platforms. The gym leader is waiting at the mountaintop. Pokémon (click to show ) Quotes (obligatory rock talk) Before battle: Hey trainer! I'm the leader of this gym. You might have caught up to me at climbing, but you can't beat me in a battle! Before rematch: You're up for another challenge? I'm ready to knock you all the way back down! After first non-KO hit: Don't even try, I'm gonna rock slide all of your Pokémon! Down to last Pokémon: There's still hope! I'm at my peak! When defeated: Wow, you went from an ordinary landslide to an avalanche! After defeat: Looks like you beat me after all... here's the Summit Badge, it'll make you even more powerful and Pokémon even bulkier. Take this TM too! Rock Slide will trip all your foes, whether they're on the ground or flying. Rematch defeat: As always, you're as unpredictable as a volcano! OK, let's do this (p.s: i'll be doing it more anime-style, because... well, i can be more creative xD):
1) 6 (HELL YEA ^^) 2) 10 (Grass, hehe, the first ) Pokemons (click to show ) 4) This Gym's emphasis is put upon respecting the power of nature, on harmony, and on using the surrounding elements in trying to gain advantage during a battle. Even though these pokemons do not use brute force (well, maybe except Shiftry who is faster to anger), they are versatile enough to tackle any opponent and show that a number of weaknesses can be countered with enough calm/balance of mind, and they aren't slouches either. Grass knots, type changes, weather modifiers, seeds draining your energies and powders and smells to steal your attention, are just a few factors that a trainer is required to deal with, and what other better tactic than calming one's mind, if preffered, in one of our specially designed gardens with multiple climates (tropical, tempered, mediterranean...), where one can feed free-roaming deerlings and birds and enjoy the rare species of flowers and trees, as well as the meditating rocks and a big pond in the middle. After that (which is only optional), the intuition and wit of the Trainer will be tested through a maze made out of different kind of thick and wonderfull plants. Be aware though, some things are not what they seem and some smells might lure you into a deep sleep if not carefull. One might find out that he or she can use different tactics and natural plants to get out of the maze faster or cure a certain side-effect, and that there are certain indicators of possible traps, but the clues sure are of a subtile nature. It is not compulsory, but one is usually advised to try the Maze and find the right path. What better way to test the strenght of will, adaptability and capacity of observation other than that, and also have some fun, after all? It's all for learning about the dangers of the battle: the plants who's smell or spines, if touched, might suddenly put a veil of dizziness upon you are none other than the same tactics used by our grass pokemon in-battle, and it sure makes the trainer more carefull about the "dangers" his or her pokemon might go through! If not, remember, that in nature there lies a simple but deep wisdom. Also, the roof is retractable and enables sunshine, rain, or other weather factors affect the battlefield. 5) Katrina and the Waves- Love shine a light 6) Before the battle: "May the wisdom of nature teach your mind about endless possibilities and balanced choices, the calmness of birds' songs bring you to the present and the enjoyment of it, and the shining Sun light your heart." When defeated "You are a good trainer indeed...remember, in every loss there's a teaching!" Rematch thing 2) 15 (Psychic, mmkay) 4) Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler (lol, this one doesn't fit) Monz (click to show )

1. 4 Pokemon
2. Poison Gym 3. The Poison Quad (click to show ) 4. A theme, huh. Seeing as we're talking about poison types, I think the theme will be a dark forest. A Weezing will be creating a haze to slow the advance of challengers and I'll have random snakes (Ekans/Seviper) slithering along the ground to freak some of them out. But that's pretty much the only obstacles they'll find. The path is in a Z-shape with trainers posted at the edges, so unless the challenger decides to follow their gut (which I anticipate) they shouldn't have too much extra trouble. And while they're tripping over snakes and shouting rage over all the fog, I'll just be sitting in my chair and laughing at their misery. 5. Theme: California Love by 2Pac That'll be hilarious to see trainers reactions 6. Before Battle: So you made it through my maze, huh. Too bad that was just a warm-up. Now comes the part where I whip out the power of poison and obliterate your team. After first non-KO hit: You'll have to try harder if you don't wanna be poisoned. When Down to Final Pokemon Woah! I didn't think it would come to this, but it's time for my ace in the whole. When Defeated: I lost! Nooooo! When Defeats Challenger Victory! Well it was a good fight at least. Don't let the trap door hit you when it opens up and kicks you out the gym. After Defeat: That hurt. I guess I underestimated you a bit. A trainer as strong as you deserves this Powder Badge. I gotta get these guys healed though before another trainer comes by. Since I don't really need it anymore, you want this TM. It's some move called Sludge Bomb. Good luck figuring out whatever it does. 7. Masters of Chaos (click to show ) Before Rematch: Yo (trainer's name)! Back for a rematch I see. Let's go! After first non-KO Hit: Just as powerful as ever I see. That's why I made adjustments. After sending out the final Pokemon: Don't get cocky. There's still one more. When Defeated: You deserve to be champion. After Defeat: I still can't believe you got past my strongest team. Time to hit the forest for more intensive training. I'll be here when you want another rematch. -------------------- Can you resist this face? (click to show ) |

Lol. 6: Before the battle: Let's Rock it! After the first non-KO hit: Hmm, you might have some skill....Maybe. After sending out the final Pokemon: Your tougher then I thought you would be. When defeated: Well done! After being defeated: You've proved yourself well, young trainer. Before the rematch: Let's see how your skill has taken you! After the first non-KO hit: I can see you've been training hard. After sending out the final Pokemon: You've much improved since the last we met! Gym Type: Dark (2) (Hell yeah!)
Number of Pokemon Used in Battle: 3 My team: Sneazel, Murkrow, Umbreon (The rules don't limit me to a specific region and the generator provided a region selector so I chose the one I prefer, Johto) The gym's outer design is based around a manor like those you might find in Bram Stoker's or Edgar Allen Poe's writing and to get to me challengers must make there way their through in pitch darkness while avoiding my macabre style booby traps. Don't worry none of them are dangerous just startling and they'll trap you in a room that is only escapable by battling my Jr. Trainers. They'll greet you with the classic flashlight in front of the face and the room will be dimly lit. Good luck, like myself, my Junior Trainers are highly trained to sense what is going on in battle without being able to see it and my strongest was actually born legally blind. When you reach the final hallway at the end of which is my battle zone there will be a sign written in neon light: "Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light" - Albus Dumbledore. This hints to a light switch located somewhere on walls on either side of you. Find it and the rest of the path will be lit. My zone is a huge dome tower with imax style screens as the ceilings and walls which project a realistic and 3D midnight scene like one from a horror film. The skies are a deep, smoky blue peppered with stars and sitting in a bed of faint grey clouds is a large full blood colored moon. Accompanying the scene are chilling sound effects such as cawing ravens and howling wolves. For our battle there will be no light, at least not at first. For every time my pokemon takes a critical hit the room will illuminate a notch and vise versa, the illumination will disappear again when your pokemon takes a critical hit. The room will be entirely lit when you knock out my pokemon and then will shut off again when I send out the next one. You might want to use those several seconds it'll take me to recall and switch Pokemon to assess your own Pokemon's condition. If you can defeat me I'll light the entire manor for you to find your way out as one of your rewards and I need my visitors to enjoy my decorating somehow right? . If you are defeated you'll be 'escorted' out through a trap door. My badge is called the Pitch Badge and it's a black crescent moon to represent the dark side of the moon. |
