Didn't see a topic for this (besides the November Exploration). Which form of Deoxys are you looking to obtain? How far are you along on the journey?

I'm on task 6/13 now. I wonder how long this one will take. Hopefully no more then an hour.

I'm going to eat lunch, I'll see where I'm at on that task after I'm done eating.


EDIT: I'm back, after 30 minutes away my Munchlax went from 0/130 to 63/130. Pretty much half way there.

Task 4, and still debating which one I want. Leaning towards either Attack or Defence. But guhhhh, I'm slow when it comes to Explorations, so something tells me that I won't be done with this until almost December.

Finally got a Solrock egg...wish it wasn't an egg though. I found one in the Safari but it got taken away just when I clicked it.

Now all I need is for Solrock to hatch, Cnydaquil to evolve, and Ratls to evolve twice and I'm done with this task...I wonder how long all this will take *Sigh*

Task 8 is taking too long for me. I don't know if the site is lagging or it's just my computer but it's getting really annoying.

I put my Ralts in my Pokewalker and now I'm hoping that will give it the levels it needs.

I'm on here for about 1 hour and 40 minutes, so hopefully that will be enough to get me to the finding the item one.

I'm finally done task 8/13, and task 9/13 went by pretty quick for me. Now I'm on task 10/13. Not much I can do here but wait 15 minutes and hope the item I need is in the shop then.

I hope I can get those items since task 11/13 is suppose to be find the exploration item right? This way I can just get it in the morning when I get on the site.

So come on shop, give me the items I need. I'm guessing they were there before since some people have already finished it.

I think this has so far been my quickest Special Exploration. Only 4 more tasks to go and I will hopefully finish it all tomorrow.

EDIT: Just my luck, the items I need still aren't there. I guess I should get them in the morning...hopefully.

I'm on task 4, only pidgey I saw so far was taken on me when I clicked on it, this is one of the few nights I wish my web was faster. Hopefully they'll get more plentiful in the safari zone and I'll have an easier time. Makes me glad I've been looking through this topic for ideas for what the rarer ones I'll need are for ahead of time.

I'm on step 4... I can't find a single pidgey in the safari zone. So I'm going to breed some (and hopefully hatch my shiny in the process). If anyone wants to PM me the list of pokemon needed for this exploration, I'll love you forever.


I think I'm going to get the defense form egg, as I already got the speed form egg from the voucher from a contest awhile back.

I just finally got one myself, Just keep refreshing fade and one will pop up fast, it's what I did. Heck, I nicknamed the one I finally caught as I'm keeping him after having to fight to get him. Anyways, task 5 now, I could easily do it tonight, but I'm going to wait till morning to work on it, thogh if anyone wants to shoot me off a pm of what other pokemon I need to grab, I'd appreciate it, I know one of them which I've pregrabbed already, just hadn't relooked for others.

As for form, I honestly don't care, as I don't have a deoxys at all, and will be happy with any of the forms, though if I got speed that would be really cool.

I've been refreshing for over half an hour and haven't even seen a hint of one. Didn't scoop up three legendaries and a good handful of novelties because I've been looking for a silly little pidgey. Bleh.

I'm on task ten and in need of spell tags. I heard one of the next ones is having to find an item randomly so it's going to take me a bit to get past those two.

The tasks requiring certain pokemon were a bit of a pain, namely solrock. I had to give up and breed one myself, luckily my pair produced a solrock egg after a little over an hour. For the most part the rest only took me a few refreshes in the safari zone, that's the only one I actually ended up needing an egg for.

I'd like to get speed forme deoxys with attack being my second favourite, normal my third, and defense my least favourite. I don't have any entries for any of them yet though so I won't complain no matter what the outcome.

Well, I'm breeding Pidgey because apparently you all are making a ruckus over how difficult it was to find them. Hopefully someone will be nice enough to take the eggs and hatch them for everybody! Apparently Solrock is rare too but I'll breed those when I get to that point in the exploration...

Welcome to the club! I was able to find one of that *item* in the backroom yesterday, pure luck! but since then, nothing! and the shop keeps giving the same items in the 'normal room'... (at least two of them are the same as yesterday...)

I tried to hatch ghost eggs.. but nothing.. and I don't even know if ghost eggs are supposed to give that *item*...

Oh well.. I do have almost a month to finish :P

I wish that they had these items appear in the shop more frequently for the exploration. Such an easy task but it takes so long if you don't have the luck.

When the clock strikes 6 pm for me the items will change so I'm hopping I get the item then. But that's still 8 hours away...and now I'm stuck on this task at less until then.

I was hoping to finish it off today but it doesn't look that way.


Maybe we'll get lucky and the item shows up in the back room. We can only hope now.

From what I understood when it came to items like that, it didn't matter when you got them as long as you had them, because there was a similar step in the celebi exploration and people who'd had them for far before the exploration were able to use them.

I don't think Pidgey was a pain for me, from what I remember I got it rather quickly. Sadly task 10 is a big pain. Only about 3 more hours until the shop changes items and then I can hope I get my item I need.

This honestly its retarded if you ask me to hold people back so they can either stalk the back room or wait for it to  cycle in.

These battle items tasks are the most annoying (finding exploration item isnt that bad I either get it from clicking like 10k clicks or just don't be active for like half a day come back and you'll get it right away.)

I'm not crazy about it myself, but I don't think they do it on purpose to hold people back. And if they do it's probably only to make the exploration harder. It is annoying, probably the most annoying one for me(The Exploration Item like you said isn't that bad since you get it after a certain amount of time has passed I've heard) but at the same time that's just showing how easy the other tasks are.

I'd just wish I had more luck with it all.

The item should be in the shop at 6 pm today, and if for some unlucky reason it's not...then 6 am tomorrow morning it will have to be in there(Of course there is still a chance it wont be).


Just have to hope for the best.

Regarding the battle item "complaints", that why you stock up with at least of 10 of every item, cuz you never know what an exploration task can ask for :P

Well not everyone has points to throw around like that. For me I don't use them in the VS Seeker so I have no use for them. I don't really want to waste points on something and never use it. If I had a lot of points then sure, but at the moment I have 23,000(I had like nothing when starting the exploration).


The Item is in the shop now, so it's all good. Now hopefully when I wake up tomorrow and come on the site I get the Exploration Item.

I've decided to take my time through this exploration. I rushed through the Celebi one (completed it under a 24 hours if I remember right...I was desperate for the egg) and also rushed through the Pichu and halloween one ^.^', also at the item one. I'll find it when I start clicking when I get home from university

We have a month to do these so XD might as well take your time and enjoy it

I don't know of anyone actually shiny hunting pidgey O.o I released mine and someone snagged it (as well as my gardivour, quillava, level 100 onix, chingling and Solrock) Maybe the mods should be stepping in soon. I think the Regi one needs pidgey too AND the OTT one wymsy made says you need a level 100 pidgeot so people are trying to snag more pidgey there.

I finally finished. I don't know which egg I choose though, I used the Red Shard since Red is my favorite color, but I don't think it's Normal Deoxys.

Task 13 is really easy, wouldn't really even call it a task.

well, judging from the descriptions of the shards, I think it is the following (feel free to correct me):

Dark Green Shard: Speed ('Just holding this shard makes your heart beat faster')
Light Green Shard: Defence ('Just holding this shard tells you its more than just solid rock')
Bright Red Shard: Attack ('Just holding this shard makes power flow through your body')
Bold Purple Shard: Normal ('Just holding this shard fills you with excitement') - pretty neutral compared to the rest

Remember this is just what I think based off the shards XD I don't know. I'm going with the dark green shard when I get to that stage.

If I'm not mistaken, you can't see the Pokemon/Eggs you release. While yes, they're hard to find, that's all up to the Users unless the Staff step in and intervene. Which I don't felt is needed. It's a special exploration (And probably is listed as difficult, I went ahead and accepted the exploration before seeing) for a reason, challenges come up sometimes while working on them ^^

I'm no racer XD but i have started a shiny pidgey hunt. If people are willing to breed them so I can grab some eggs (On top of my two level 100 pidgeots breeding) then hopefully we can fix this super lo pidgey count

EDIT - I'm going to release a few pidgey (half a box, give or take a few) tomorrow 4pm sever time. By then, all the pidgey i can't release will be releaseable...I will also be out all day tomorrow so its the only time can really do it XD just to give you all a heads up!

finding the pidgey and growlithe is much easier, even though this is extreemly easy for me for others this is that hardest task of all, for finding the item start it in the morning before school, by the time your back and you check back you find it .and acutally the 500 clicks is easier :P

I'm 100% certain that you are automatically given it after 24 hours no later. But I've seen someone say 12 hours. I got mine before 12 hours though, but that could have just been luck. But you'll give it within 24 hours for sure.


I finished this just a few minutes ago. I got the Normal Deoxys which I didn't have before. Just need Defense and Speed egg dex now then I'll be finish with this exploration for good.

I'm not sure if you know this...but when you go to your inventory and you hover your cursor over the shards..it will say a sentence which will give you a clue about what shard gives what form. normal vs. attack confused me at first...but the others were very obvious.

i embarked on this a few days ago during the last aurora and completed wednesday night. i chose attack but it's now speed because i used an evolution's wonder. when i get to do the exploration again i'm going to get normal forme and change the deoxys i have now to defence for the pokedex of all four formes. the only part of the exploration i don't like is the cooldown. 1/60 days...

Can anyone help me with this? I only need normal or defense form and I'm afraid to pick the wrong one. Speed seems pretty obvious to me, the others - not so much. I feel as though I'm GUESSING defense is probably the "rock solid" one. but the one about power flowing through your body also might make sense. or that could be attack? Argh, I really would prefer not to waste this on an egg I've already got, but I feel like it's too vague for me x(

Can anyone subtly remind me which stone corresponds to which egg? All I'm missing is the attack forme egg, and I'm suddenly finding all of the stone clues to be rather vague except for defense forme.

o-o i remember when i first did this task e-e took a while, but you can also get a spell tag by hatching ghost type pokemon. It might be faster if you hatch pokemon with a chance of spell tags? xD im on task 11, i hate finding items around the site, im just dreading task 12 e0e im not in the mood to do it, but since today is a x1.5 day, it might motivate me?

I'd say it's best to just do the Deoxys exploration. If you have enough time you should be finished it in a few days the latest. The Special Exploration is all month long, which should be more then enough time to finish it too.

It's really hard finding any of the Pokemon you need for the exploration. Especially the one that you need specifically from the shelter.

for me, i find all basic evo of them in 5 minutes (i grab all at start of exploration)
but for spell tag, i wanted prepare to this exploration. but there were no spell tag on shop since 3 days (i grab one two day ago on backroom)

Check the shards' description on your inventory. I think it's obvious which form gives each one.

I wanted to start it again... but I still have to wait 15 days -w-

Red gives the FireRed forme, Bright Green gives the LeafGreen forme, Dark Green gives the Emerald forme, and Purple gives the Ruby/Sapphire forme.

Partially due to me having done this before and partially because I was prepared with Spell Tags I got from hatching Litwick(Yes, I saved them just for this), I blew through tasks 6-10 in under three minutes. Task 11 was excruciatingly long, but I managed to get past it. Now I'm slowly working my way through Task 12. Haven't decided between Normal Deoxys or Defense Deoxys, seeing as how I need both of their Eggs.

I guess everyone else is saying this, but go to your inventory and hover over the shards. It's easier to tell which shard gives which egg if you read the descriptions (:
