I'm laughing at you guys trying to guess what what my klefki was. The 'swiss army knife' is a much more accurate description of what I had in mind, although 'death wheel' is also pretty much accurate. You have all your fight gear at hand - sword, frying pan, big pokey fork thing, and a medieval
The interpretations of it as a bow are interesting though - It does have that kinda shape to it. :U I think if I was going for that though I would have used another fishing rod underneath to complete the string. Thanks to everyone who voted for me! The winning Talonflame was absolutely beautiful. I did not forsee getting this far at all honestly??? Super curious about prizes. -------------------- |

Congratulations to everyone! I was a little surprised to see that the Talonflame won, I thought the Spritzee plague-doctor was going to be a shoo-in for sure! But at the same time, I think that the Talonflame does look really nice, the flames are really well done, so I think it was well deserved.
Loved the speedboat Inkay as well and the drumming Goodra. I was in the thread with the Goodra every time, and I didn't even notice it at first, but I think it's really clever, same with the Inkay. -------------------- |

Congratulations Sam! Hopefully I'll do better in the next contest... I'm better at pixel art than dressing up, so I hope we have an art contest coming next...

Congrats Sam! Looks like you made it to the top without my vote :P (I voted for Spritzee, my second favorite and the one that kicked me out of the competition)
the alive-trevenant (if you could call it that? Whatever the one that had the leaves on!) That was my favorite from the beginning. Pretty much all of my other favorites were in the finals. My entry was the other Trevenant: -------------------- |

Happy you all liked my Travenant tree so much that it got into semifinals ....where it got into the same group as Talonflame with only one continuing to finals. Still good outcome for my first entry in a Dress-Up Contest. -------------------- |

Still good outcome for my first entry in a Dress-Up Contest. I loved this one! It was funny to see a oh-so-scary tree full of life haha! Sadly my entry didn't make it to the second round. Dang I'm late lol. Anyways, here's mine:
There were tons of really awesome entries, and I'm glad mine made it to fourth place! Congrats to Sam for winning! Some of my favorites were the parasailing Inkay, the car Goodra, and did anyone else notice that Chespin Link? -------------------- |

The prizes haven't been announced yet, actually! I'm sort of looking forward to finding out what they were. I'd be happy with Prize Points for a fourth place design, but some kind of nice item would be good too!

Grats to Sam and the rest of the finalists. I actually knew that the Talonflame was Sam's since Round 2 because I could check that it was "unable to be viewed due to being in a contest" from the Shine Recorder. Tbh tho before finding that out, I figured that it was made by someone from KotRT for another particular KotRT member who's quite fond of Fletchling and its evo line. Mine was the parasailing Inkay runner-up to the drumming Goodra in the semi-finals. I had the idea to do something with a topsy-turvy Inkay. A parachute seemed to fit it, which led to parasailing from a boat. Thanks, everyone who voted for it! omg, yours was my absolute favourite from every single one there ;A; I loved so many of the entries, but yours just... oh god, it was just so cute and just ahhhh @___@ this one was mine, rofl, I'm happy to see it made it past the first round, but yeah, aha, failed link attempt. -------------------- [align=center]The help page has loads of useful information!

Linkpin was probably my favorite, was so disappointed to see it fall out so quick.

Well...
I honestly have no idea how Plague managed to even get into the finals. I whipped it together rather last minute before running out the door, and thought it was really just so messy, and that I could have put it together much much better if I had more time. And really, I kinda feel there were a few other dressups I saw that I actually thought WERE much better than mine. The Angelic Scatterbug, the mirror-image Phantump, the Father Time Goodra, and the Leafy Trevenant were all huge standouts for me, just to name a few. The slightly-greyer cape in the back was mainly to give him a collar, but the more prominent effect was that just gave him an odd hand on the right that kinda screwed with the pose, and made him look more like a... Boastful wizard? The thing at the end of the staff was meant to be a lantern (I know there's an actual lantern accessory, but I wasn't able to get one in time), as I saw several Plague Doctor drawings clutching a lantern on a stick. It was also meant to hide the candy-cane-swirl, but it just ended up looking more like... an odd scythe? (I also realized later I could have just rotated the cane a couple times and hid the swirl that way...) And in general, I probably could have moved one of the uppermost black capes up and left another couple pixels to make the beak a bit "sharper". I had a concept as well where I used a couple pairs of sunglasses on a bottom layer to look like gloves or fists just barely sticking out, but I ended up scrapping it due to too many accessories. In hindsight, and after playing around with it a bit after I got him back, I think those looked better as well. It would've definitely helped fight off how it looks like he just has his hands up and outwards, which seems out of character for a dreary Plague Doctor. Would have been perfectly doable without the cape and fake-lantern black scale, too. I expected to maybe get to the second round at very least, but I never would have thought finals, or honsetly, even semi-finals. I usually have next-to-no creativity when it comes to dressups, so I think this might be the farthest that I'll ever get, haha. Ah, maybe one day? Anyways, thanks to all that voted for Plague! -------------------- |
