What gym types would you like to see in 5th gen?
I, personally, really want a Dark type gym. there haven't been any yet  Along with that, Dragon, Ghost, Steel, Flying and Bug along with the ones revealed. Yes, I am aware it is very much like Johto. What do you think? EDIT: The first gym is Grass, Fire, or Water, depending on your starter, and the second one is Normal, apparently. EDIT EDIT: Sucks guys, but the gyms have been released. They are: Grass, Fire, or Water, depending on your starter Normal Bug Electric Ground Flying Ice Dragon Unfortunately, we don't have a Dark typer.  Good bye everyone! I disagree with ''No more rock gyms''.
How about ''No more early stage rock gyms''? I would like to see a rock gym that comes later in the game. 6th, 7th or 8th. Instead of ..   How about something like... I would lke a Dark type gym, because it hasn't been used yet.
Maybe gyms for types that hasn't been used so many times yet? Oh and no more having the Rock type gym as the first one. I'm tired of always fighting the rock gym first! Only one region doesn't have rock first, and even so, it doesn't have rock at all. Maybe some duel-type gyms or double-battle gyms? Maybe combine Rock and Ground because so many rock-types are also ground; that would free up another slot for a gym. Also bring back the idea of a double-gym leader battle like in Hoenn; that was awesome when fighting Liza and Tate and made it a bit harder (in my opinion). -------------------- |

Now I have some other idea.
As I see that the 2nd gym leader almost always has advantage over 1st, 3rd over 2nd etc., I have a plan (yay me) Fighting (  , some random 5th generation Fighting pokemon)Flying ( 5th gen,  , 5th gen)Ice (  ,  , 5th gen)Fire ( double battle:  ( ) / 5th gen)Dark (  , 5th gen)Bug ( 5th gen, 5th gen,  )Rock (  , 5th gen, 5th gen)Grass (  , 5th gen, 5th gen : double battle:  / 5th gen)Although I would want to see another Poison type gym leader, but I doubt that will be happening. Posion types are just too underrated.

A dark gym would be nice because we have yet to see one.
I would also like to see another Poison or Ground gym simply because we haven't had those for a while. As for the Elite 4, Dragon is the most common. Like the gym leaders, I would probably like to see types we haven't seen before. These are Normal, Electric, Grass, Flying, and Rock. It's perfect because it's 5 types. What about two-type gyms? For example, using all water-fight pokemon such as Poliwrath. Not only that, but it would give off inspiration to create dual types we haven't seen before, or haven't seen that often. We need a mixed type gym leader. I know it's traditional to have them all be single/dual type gyms, but they were able to pull it off with Blue. It makes sense, in a way. You are supposed to forulate your in game team around variety, and what better way to test that then putting a gym leader near the end with a mixed team?
That and a fire type gym. It's been said already, but that has the same problem as the previous notion I suggested. There's only two of them. -------------------- space...spacespace...wanna go to space...I'm in space...are we in space...I wanna into space, are you space? Uh oh, space police, stay cool. Space..space..space space..ba ba, ba, ba, bababa, ba, ba space. Dad, are you space? Yes, now we can be a family again. Space space...need...space...need a rocket...wanna buy a rocket? I'm iffy on a Dark gym, but I would be fine with facing it. It depends moreso on the number of Fighting-types available. But what else? Let me see.
In order: Electric, Fighting, Fire, Dark, Bug, Ghost, Rock, Normal. Electric having only one weakness and paralysis, it can make for a tough starting gym, especially those that like Mijumaru. Fighting is a strong type physically speaking, so defense is the focus to defend against the second gym. Third is fond of burning, and cripples Attack, so going for Special Attack is a good idea. Dark...well. Have fun with it. If there's an Umbreon, expect some evil stalling. Bug is an annoyer type, and maybe they could utilize U-Turn and Baton Pass. Lead Ninjask, maybe? Follow that up with a Ghost gym simply because I like Ghosts. No good reason, really. Rock needs to be higher-ranked, as others have stated. Finish off with a tough-to-beat Normal gym, something with Snorlax or Clefable...or maybe Blissey. Who knows? As long as I can get the proper types to take down the gyms, I'm good. And off-hand, the Elite 4: Grass, Poison, Ground, Flying. -------------------- |
