Tribal Legends: A Guardians Of The Abyss Roleplay

I hope you enjoy the rebooted and Upgraded version of Guardians Of The Abyss!

Little piece of information:
- There are 17 factions that each have one Ithrill, these are the main characters. I'll allow 16 Ithrill SU's, myself claiming the remaining (AKA 17th) Faction for my own Ithrill SU (All be warned! ;p).
- When all Ithrills are taken or you want to join but don't have much spare time, you can take a small side character. Side characters aren't bound to the one faction-rule, and therefore can chose every faction.
- By the amount of your postings, I'll determine whether you are 'promoted' from a small character to a medium character. Medium characters can be seen as a second Ithrill of a certain faction, yet again one Medium per faction. (This will be very exceptional)
- New and Unique throughout this Rp-forum: I will keep a weekly report of what happened during the RP so others might be able to join in the middle of an Rp by just reading that post!

Long ago, in the land of Naegoka, humans and pokémon lived beside each other in perfect harmony. They worked together, played together and grew up with bonds of friendship as we all know the daily life in the regular pokémon world. Naegoka is devided in factions, every type has it's own faction and thus his own abilities. Most of Naegoka is similar to the normal world where pokémon are commanded by trainers, the same scenary, hospitals and evolution in technology and in this world only medieval weapons are known.

Though Naegoka had a difference, as you only had one pokémon partner for your entire life. This pokémon was born together with you, on the same day, the same hour. Fate made you meet your soulmate, as your bond is more than mental, it is predetermined. This pokémon stays with you forever, feels your pain and shares your joy and sorrow as it was a part of you. The power a pokémon possesses can be used by the person it bounded with, thus gaining the ability of 'Kage'.

Kage can be used by everyone,but only with the moves your partner knows at that point, or has known. Kage is an energyconsuming ability and has to be handled with care and discretion as many have fallen by overconsuming their energy and thus dying. One learns to control Kage over time or by specificaly learning about it by the ones who have mastered the full control of their Kage. The full mastery of ones Kage, unlocking the unlimited power, is called Kage Ota or Perfected Shadow. The ones who have gained full mastery are called Guardians; they all are gathered as a league know as The Guardians Of The Abyss. All of these masters are respected and unique in their kind, possessing indescribable power. They decide how Naegoka is ruled and try keeping peace. Some guardians represent one of the 17 factions, located throughout Naegoka. The factions woreship this Guardian as their Tribe Leader.

Like every other inhabitant of Naegoka, the guardians too have something in their look that makes them resemble their partner in one way or the other. The Guardians have their headquarters in the City of Lyrdegnae, the city of Legends. Here the Guards accademy, AGAFEKU (Abyss Guards Accademy For Educating Kage-Ussage), trains upcoming Kage-users for a future role as Guards. Guards are the troops of the Guardians, the police-force in our world. They maintain the peace and prosperity in Naegoka, only for real emergancy's the Guardians descend from their Fortress to stop it themselves. But there are some exceptional Kage-users amongst the Guards, Ithrill's. Ithrill's are lesser guardians, who's Kage ability's power has already reached a certain level during birth. This level has already surpassed most of the weaker Guards whe the Ithrill is at the age of 10.

Every 25 years an Ithrill is born in every faction and they all get sent to Agafeku in Lyrdegnae to master their full potential. The Ithrill's are devided into squads of 17 persons, each person representing a faction. Those Ithrill's are supposed to once replace the Legendary Guardians when the profecy is will come to be. This profecy tells of 17 tribe-leaders fighting off the shading evil lurking inside the forgotten prison of earth's womb, in an epic battle for Naegoka's freedom. If they would fail the shadow would swallow and destroy Naegoka completely.

Life continued for several millenia when the unthinkable happened, something even the guardians hadn't bargained for. Kyurem, the strongest of all Guardians, had turned his back on the League and killed many fellow guardians. Those who managed to survive were sent into hiding and started thinking of a plan to overthrow Kyurem. Zekrom and Reshiram, the leaders of the resistance and Kyurem's sons, found that there was no other way to stop their father than to kill him. The other remaining Guardians chose the twins for their pure heart and their search for truth and Ideals. They confronted their father and managed to ovethrow him, sealing him in the abyss, but the evil had already been done, as his followers had been sent all over Naegoka and caused amok.

The Guardians returned to the League and started to rebuilt Naegoka, reshiram and zekrom were chosen as the new leaders of the Guardian League and the other Guardians became known as the Faction leaders, each guardian,appart from reshiram and zekrom, now represented one of the mystic powers that arceus had once bestowed upon the world. From that day on the Guardians have been fighting off evil and guarding peace in Naegoka, however, due to Kyurems betrayal the mystic powers of Naegoka changed, and Ithrills ceased to exist. None has been seen ever since and their being faded in time, only being told as a bed-time story to children or to scare them off.

More then 500 years have past since Naegoka has known the Great War and everything seems to get back to it's feet when the specters start showing again. They are announcing the revival of Kyurem and how they will pull Naegoka back into a shadowy grasp of evil and destruction. The Guards are sent to handle this but are soon outnumbered. The decide to sent letters all over the land in order to find new recruits, as some rumours have been going around, telling there were new Ithrills somewhere in the land. Hoping the Ithrills would feel their ancient instincts again, the letters were sent to those villages where the last Ithrills were born 500 years ago. Now only time awaits the arrival of the Ithrills and the fortold Destiny of Naegoka when Kyurem resurects.

Toyukai is situated at the west side of Mount Touku.

11. If one of the factions is taken, you have to chose another! At the border of 16 SU's the main character SU is closed, myself taking the remaining faction as my own! You can however sign up for the smaller characters.

13. I alone control all members of the Guardians League, unless I specificaly asked to RP one yourself. Other NPC's are free to be RP'ed as.

Wheeeeee I'm joining. I'm thinking I'll do Ghost, for a change. Here he is~

Appearance: Zeke has ghost-white hair (pun intended), with a very slight purple tint. He also has bright yellow eyes, which, including his hair, are a hereditary trait unique to his family. He is rather pale, and has a slim build, being rather skinny for his age. He often wears a white shirt, with a black vest that stops around his mid-back, but has sleeves going down to the end of his arms. Both the bottom of his jacket and the ends of the sleeves are decorated with a subtle, dark purple flame pattern. He often wears black pants that have the same dark-purple pattern, except slightly more noticeable. Connecting both sides of the coat is a chain attached to two yellow buttons, which vaguely resemble a Chandelure's face. He wears a pair of dark purple boots to go with his overall aesthetic. In hotter weather, his long sleeved coat is exchanged for one with shorter sleeves, his trousers are exchanged with dark purple shorts, and his boots are switched with black running shoes. He always has Tamashi floating nearby. Outfit inspired by this. When using his Kage, his eyes turn a deep purple.
Personality: To RP, or not to RP... I actually think I'll do it now! Zeke is a joker, preferring to to make people happy and laugh. He is rather rebellious towards customs and ideals, seeing as these customs and ideals caused him to be shunned for most of his childhood. He is hot-headed and rash, often jumping to a fight if offered, and he can also be a bit unlikeable, if by accident. He is also wary about making friends, as the friends he had for a lot of his childhood were false, but when he does make a friend, he will do anything and everything to help and protect them. He also has a very sadistic side, but this only comes out when he uses his Kage too much.
Bio: Zeke grew up as the ninth child of a ninth child - an unlucky child for the citizens of Furei. He grew up being basically shunned by his parents and everyone else, with only his eight siblings keeping him company. He was exceptionally good at using his ghost powers, despite not having a partner yet. He practised every day with his siblings, learning how to manipulate the ghost energies in attacks. When he tried to show his parents, however, they merely rejected him, favouring his eldest brother instead.

By the time he was going to school, he had still not found his partner, whereas most of the other children had. He managed to cobble together some 'friends', but he was really only the jester of the group - there to laugh at, not be friends with. This started to form his loud attitude, as he found that the more people he got to laugh at him, the better. However, by the next few years, he had still not found his partner, and by the time he was eleven, he was the only child in his year who did not have a partner.

Eventually, after a while, his so-called 'friends' dared him to spend the night in a haunted house, a manor that was supposedly haunted by the greedy man who owned it. Not wanting to chicken out and lose his 'friends' Zeke agreed. Zeke then showed up at the manor the next day, where his 'friends' commented that they didn't think he was going to come. He glared at them, before joking how he packed extra underwear, and they laughed at him, before he entered the house and they closed the door on him.

Zeke was incredibly freaked out, by he calmed himself down by repeating how the greedy man's ghost was just a legend. Deciding to make the most of it, Zeke went to look for one of the large bedrooms. Whilst he was travelling through the manor, he kept getting the feeling that he was being followed, but whenever he turned to look, all he saw was a candle. Once he finally reached the bedroom, he flopped down on the bed, getting ready to sleep, when he had that feeling again. Looking up, he saw a candle that he was pretty sure wasn't there before.

He got up to inspect the candle, and after a little bit, he saw a small, yellow eye open. He locked eyes with the candle's eye, before both screamed a little bit and staggered back. Looking at the candle who had looked back and screamed, he noticed it wasn't a candle at all, but rather, a Litwick. He laughed at his mistake, and offered a hand to the small pokemon, who shook it. When he did this, he felt a strange sensation, before he realised - he had found his partner. He then quickly made friends with the pokemon, happy he had found his second half.

The night, however, was not to be entirely happy. Zeke and his partner, named Tamashi, kept hearing ghostly wails. After a surge of bravery told him to go explore, he discovered that ghost type pokemon had been travelling around the house, making the scary noises. Once these pokemon spotted Zeke and Tamashi, they started chasing the duo, so the two ran. However, once they realised that they couldn't run anymore, Zeke and Tamashi stood their ground. When the pokemon caught up to them, Zeke reached inside himself, and he discovered a source that was much larger than what he was used to. Tapping into this, Zeke used his Kage for the very first time.

Sending out a large burst of ghost energy, Zeke managed to knock back two of the pokemon: a Yamask and a Banette. However, his attack was merely sucked up by the third, a Spiritomb. Realising that Ghost type moves wouldn't work, Zeke searched through his surprisingly large amount of Kage, until he found an odd, colorless bit of his Kage. Reaching for this, he realised it was a move that belonged to his pokemon. He then utilised it, and gasped.

A large, ghostly nail was being driven into his chest, causing a large amount of pain. He noticed vaguely Tamashi having the same thing done to him, but he was too preoccupied with the pain welling up in his chest from where the nail hit. Wanting it out of him, Zeke instinctively pointed his hand at the Spiritomb, and pushed every ounce of the pain out through his hand, which manifested in a Ghostly mouth that flew towards the opposing pokemon, cackling evilly.

The attack hit, and The Spiritomb looked in great pain. The pokemon attempted to flee, but it seemed impeded by it's shadow, which Zeke realised had been pointing towards them, despite Tamashi's light source. The Spiritomb kept trying to escape, but to no avail, and eventually, the curse took it's toll, and the Spiritomb fainted. Shocked, Zeke spent the rest of the night in the large bedroom, and the other ghosts seemed to think it was a good idea to leave him alone.

The next day, Zeke's friends were surprised to see he had actually made the night, and had even found his partner while he was at it. He went home and told his siblings about what had happened, and they were surprised at such a use of Kage, before making him go to his parents and tell them. His parents, although grudgingly, brought him in front of the elders of Furei, who he explained the story to. They were surprised, as it had been a while since anyone had been able to use Curse as if they themselves were a ghost pokemon. The last person to use it was, indeed, the Ghost Ithril, and after some heated discussion between the elders, they pronounced him as the new Ghost Ithril.

Everyone seemed surprised by this, especially Zeke, but when questioned about it, the elders merely said that they had already decided. His parents suddenly took an interest in him, albeit one without love, and they started training him to be a perfect child that could build up their reputation. Zeke, however, did not like this new attention, and often skipped many lessons, preferring instead to hang out with Tamashi.

One day, whilst he was at school, his old friends, who he had long since left, realising that they didn't actually like him, came up to him, mad at all the attention he was getting. They attempted to ambush him, all using their Kages, but Zeke used his more powerful one and beat them all off, with Tamashi evolving in the process. Since then, people have left him alone, as not only was he 'cursed' he was also more powerful than anyone could match.

In the following years, Zeke spent more and more time away from his parents, knowing they just wanted to use him. One day, whilst travelling through a forest, he came across two people, around his age. They were a girl and a boy, and whilst they knew he was the Ghost Ithril, they didn't seem to care about his status, wanting to talk to him about normal stuff, rather than politics. He realised that these people were the perfect people for friends, and as such, he started to spend most of his time with them, even as they became older.

He is now 19, and rather adept at using his Ghost Kage, and although he has never used Curse properly, he has secretly been working on it, just in case. He has overheard his parents talking about how the AGAFEKU were considering sending him and invitation, and he planned to accept, so long as it got him away from his parents. He is also looking for a Dusk Stone to evolve Tamashi, but he's having very little luck.

Appearance: Starting from the top Silver has long silver hair that is either put up in a ponytail or its half up and the rest of her hair hangs over her shoulders or down her back. She wears a purple silk outfit that as silver lining around the edges and loose sleeves around her wrists, on her shirt there is a weird picture of a weird flame that seems to be orange, red and yellow. Around the flame there is small pictures of wing creatures. Her pants are also purple with silver lining and seem to be more loose around her feet, and wrinkled a bit. Her shoes are basic but are seem to be used for traveling and also seem to be made from very light material. Her face is simple, and her eyes are a light blue color but under certain conditions(which will be explained a bit later in the sign up) her eyes have been know to change from light blue to purple and in rare cases silver. Her bangs are usually brushed behind her ears and a clip keeps them there. Around her neck there is a necklace that seems to have a small container and in that container seems to be a weird flickering flame. Around her whole outfit she wears a long coat like cape with a hood that hangs over her head most of the time unless she of course takes it off.

Personality: Calm and sometimes collective, Silver usually spends time by herself so her social skills are at a minimum even when there was people who wanted to hang out with her. If you ever pay attention to her she usually spends her time more reading books than even trying to talk to other people. Even though she is considered a quiet loner of a person, she walks around with hidden confidence but at the same time she makes sure that she doesn't become over confident with any task or situation she is in. When faced with a situation she stays back and tries to look at the big picture before taking action to make sure nothing unexpected happens and that she doesn't put herself in too much danger. Even when she is calm and confident there is also a small ounce of fear and uncertainty that runs through her because of past experiences and situations she has been in. In some extreme cases if she is backed up against the wall that fear and uncertainty will show on the surface and when it does she doesn't know how to react to it. When it comes to brains and thinking Silver is one that can adapted normally and isn't afraid of too much change, she also holds her own when it comes to figuring out problems. When it comes to angry and rage Silver badly reaches that level because she keeps in mind that anger and yelling sometimes never solves anything but only makes it worst.

Bio: Growing up in a town Silver has never been one to stand out from the crowd, she has always wanted to be hidden even when it was her time to shine. When she was a young child her parents for some unknown reason left home and never returned. Silver was only 11 when this happened and after a few days wandered to a neighbors home out of fear and he came to adopted her after not being able to locate her parents, for this reason Silver has no knowledge of her last name since her parents themselves were seldom out and about talking with others and she has no knowledge of who she really is. Some people actually were uncertain of Silver's family because they kept to themselves most of the time and always had their reasons for being the way they are. As time went by Silver grew and at the age of 12 she started to journey out farther for exploration since she became fascinated with the world around her. Though many worried because of her less social abilities and lack of friends none approached her to find out why. It wasn't until a year later at the age of 13 Silver had a fateful encounter with something that would change her life. It was a stormy night and Silver ends up too far from home lost in the nearby woods, to escape the pounding rain Silver sought refuge under a nearby tree to try to keep dry, it was there that she first heard a noise that came from within the tree. Slowly turning around she noticed that the tree was hallowed out and that a faint light was coming from within a large whole in the bark. Peeking in slowly she looked at the bottom and saw a dratini curled up in a small ball. Within that small moment in Silver's eyes a small spark seemed to emerge and the dratini lifted up its head and the same spark seem to be connected, feeling like the dratini was special she slowly picked up out of the tree and placed it next to her. It wasn't long after that where the neighbor who adopted them both finally found Silver but when he found her he was astonished to see that she was fast asleep with her arms around a dratini and the dratini was next to her in a way to keep her warm. It was then that the two who were destined to meet first made their own friendship spark when both needed each other to keep warm.

Years later at the age of 15, Silver and her friend the dratini had been together since her adopted father knew that they should always be together and a new ability started to surface between the two. She was trying to teach her dratini a move since from all the reading she has done, had some knowledge that a dragon pokemon light dratini could grow with great potential. It was during one of these practices that dratini learned a move called Dragonbreath, to Silver's delight it was a move that seemed powerful even though it came from a pokemon like dratini, it was then that Silver wished that she could somehow be able to train right beside dratini to be able to help it accomplish more. During that moment of strong wishes a flare ignited within Silver's hands this flare grew and before Silver knew it a attack flew from her hands onto a home-made target, at first this surprised her and also made her feel a bit sick. She tried again but nothing happened, her dratini looking as much shocked as she was tilted its head and she ran back to her house to find out what happened. This event lead to Silver's study of Kage, she learned as much as she could even though there wasn't much to read about because Kage varied with each person since each person is different. Between the ages of 16-19 Silver spent her times mostly with her Dratini trying to practice this new ability of hers as she traveled and also trying to find out what her limit could be. Over the years she has noticed that her limit seems to get bigger as she gets strong but she has also learned that the strong the attack the more it takes out of her. As she has travel she has come across many situations that have been both dangerous and threatening which has left its scars on her and can also influence on how she has acted(these situations will be known if needed in the rp, to explain the way she reacts to something, or her attitude, ect.). Just recently the Dratini that Silver had come to know and loved evolved into a dragonair and a new potential from that evolution opened up new possibilities for both Silver and the Dragonair.

Other: One thing that wasn't mention above is the connection between Nova and Silver, it seems when Silver uses Kage her eyes turn a purple color no one knows why she don't even know why. Nova also seems to at times be able to communicate with Silver through the bead on its neck, this however only started when Nova evolved from a Dratini to a Dragonair. At times when Silver is in a good amount of distress her eyes would turn a silver color and the reason for this is also unknown to Silver but she has knowledge of it happened due to the various situations she has been put in in her travels .

I hope that this sign up is okay, if anything is wrong please let me know so that i can change it. I also hope that the bio isn't too long ^^; For some reason I was in the typing mood and had a lot of ideas xD

@ Quo: I didn't think there was a mage-type pokémon... :p well, I'd suggest making you the normal faction Ithrill(delcatty is a normal type), you're appearance should be explained too, just tell what she's wearing on the picture, also nobody can start with a pokémon higher than lvl 30 (if it evolution chains aren't counted on so you could have a lvl 5 hydragon for example) the bio is uhm... short but that is not point of concern xp

furthermore it looks fine by me, I'll put you on the edit part (accepted but editing) and put your SU as accepted :p



=> other thing: considering the pokémon moves, you can put ALL the moves it has once known in it. Just make those your pokémon currently knows in bold and your favorite move (1 max) in italics.

the favorite move is the one your character likes to use or uses the most.

+ the pokémon evolutions aren't level-based, you can have a lvl 6 Hydreigon if you want for example

and since you did clear up now about the pokemon evolution not matching the levels, I am going to change a few things in my character sign up since I didn't know that and just to be safe I choose something within reason. So I'm going to change my pokemon to Dragonair since that really is my favorite out of the evolution line, and with that change I need to change a few things within my character's bio and the other after the pokemon sign up.

Yeeeeeeaaaaah I got those words from Google Translate, so that's the reason if anything's wrong. I think only Fuscha and Ohmai are the only ones that aren't completely based off of Japanese words. You don't have to use these, they're just suggestions. As for Yukita, the idea of a frozen waterfall just seemed do... Pretty. Of course none of them Match Norcue, but oh well.

Oh yeah: Ezekiel, or really, Tamashi's been changed. Tamashi is now a Lampent, but he'll evolve over the course of the RP. Also Fire Spin and Astonish have changed to Flame Burst and Hex, respectively.
