Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is a spin-off game in the Spyro series. It was published by Activision and developed by Toys for Bob. Vicarious Visions developed the Nintendo 3DS release. It was released on October 12, 2011 in Australia for the PC and October 13, 2011 on other consoles. The game was released on October 14, 2011 in Europe and October 16, 2011 in North America. Frima Studio developed the Web, iPhone and iPad version of Skylanders.


In Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, players take on the role of a Portal Master who can control over 37 different characters, including, but not limited to, Spyro. Players embark on a journey into a world where they will explore lands, battle creatures, collect gold and treasures, and solve puzzles while on a quest to save their world from Kaos, an evil Portal Master, whom they must defeat.[3] The video game comes with 3 action figures and a peripheral called the "Portal of Power", which connects to the player's console of choice. Each action figure represents one of 37 playable characters, including Spyro, each with unique abilities. The playable characters become unlocked when their corresponding action figures are placed on the Portal of Power. Players can also place one of these special action figures on the Portal of Power of a friend's console (even if it is not the same type of console), and the character's amassed scores, level-ups and achievements are instantly imported for the gameplay session. Additionally, two figures can be placed on the portal simultaneously, for cooperative or versus play.


Characters each have a primary attack, and a secondary attack. They gain experience points by defeating monsters, and leveling up will result in the possibility of getting upgrades and a third attack. Each character has its own special abilities that differ from each other, as well as assigned elements. This provides some replayability, as each character faces the world in different ways. Although the game only comes with Spyro, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy, players can purchase the remaining 34 action figures separately, if they so choose

Hey, don't feel bad about playing, I'm a 24-year-old and I have all of the figures. c:

My best is probably Trigger Happy, in terms of skill with playing him, and I have all of my figures at level 10. It's a pretty fun game...

Though grinding on Lair of Kaos got pretty boring.

What system do you guys have it for?

Well, since I don't have the game or a console for the game, I've been playing my brothers xD
He has it for the Wii and I'm going to go buy my own, hopefully tomorrow. I've only played it for a couple of days, but I'm addicted.

Trigger Happy is ranked best for Lucky.
I've played mostly with Drobot and Prism Break.

I've started playing online, although it's not as fun.

Dino-Rang's pretty darn high on Luck too. I use him some.

Drobot's an insane boss, though sometimes he can get hard to control.

Prism Break is nice, he's one of the only ones I haven't upgraded to its fullest, but so far, he's a pretty strong guy.

And with Trigger Happy, with the Lil Devil hat, with all of the released speed challenge bonuses, can get 100 speed, double the normal fastest. It's pretty cool. c:

I have the wii version! My best characters are trigger happy, spyro, and drobot. I'm going to get bash, cynder, sonic boom, camo, and sunburn eventually.

I can't beat the Hydra! I only have four (Spyro, Gill Grunt, Trigger Happy and Drobot) but they're all almost level ten except Drobot. he is level ten. I have bought the Soul Gems for Drobot and Trigger Happy. I love infinite ammo. And afterburners. I have seven or eight sapphires and can't figure out where the last ones are. Does anyone have any tips at all for beating the Hydra?

Simple, you need more Skylanders that can do 100+ damage in a hit. Bash is a suggestion.

Problem: While I do have $20... The only place I know of to get them is always out of stock and I never get a chance to go there. Is there I can beat it without getting any more?

Well, I beat him all in one Skylander: Gill Grunt. Have him on his water cannon path and have unlimited ammo on the water cannon. It's tedious, but it works.

And just constantly fly? Or at least when the Hydra uses a power (otherwise known as Kaos's Doom Spells)? Would a fully upgraded Blaster Master Drobot at level ten work in place of that?

Not really. Drobot's rather weak.

But he does have Afterburners, which I find very useful. And Hover is useful, too.
