History: Carol was born into a middle class family in Fuchsia. Her family was composed of her mother, grandmother, and grandfather. Her father had little major involvement in her life, and interactions with him completely ended in the second half of her life. She had no siblings, but she did have cousins she would visit from time to time.

Carol's interactions with Pokemon began at the age of four, when her grandparents from her mother's side had returned from a vacation in Unova with a Petilil they gifted to her. Such a child-like creature with no other children in her home, she would spend much of her time playing with the Pokemon, and even when they were not playing the pair were inseparable. She wasn't able to correctly pronounce the specie name, and ended up calling her Pewill. Even when older, the incorrect pronunciation became the Pokemon's nickname. While nearing the age of six the same grandmother died. As Carol's only connection to her, the bond with Pewill strengthened and has remained her most powerful relationship with any of her Pokemon.

Her mother had to work hard to support her child, though her grandfather had plenty of money remaining from his long life to support himself. He could tell that Carol still missed his wife greatly, and began to frequently take her on trips to the Safari Zone. At first it was merely just to observe the Pokemon as Carol was too afraid of most of them, especially Rhyhorn and Kangaskhan, to get very close. As she aged her fears began to escape her and by the age of eight she commonly got up close with the wild Pokemon. The Kangaskhan she used to fear would let her pet them, and the Rhyhorn grew used to her and would let her come close to observe them. Pewill would commonly play with smaller Pokemon- especially Nidoran. She formed a strong friendship with a female one. In turn so did Carol, and so she finally had use for the Safari balls they gave her and caught the NidoranF, soon naming her Nina.

In those trips with her grandfather, he would commonly observe a particular pair of species- Cubone and Marowak. They were his favorite Pokemon, and he would continuously tell her of how the Cubones would lose their mothers and wear the skull. He wasn't sure if they were born with a skull that imitates their mother's or if the legends were true, but he felt pity for them and found their power impressive. Not long after Carol obtained Nina, he had found a Cubone that was ill and underfed- surely would parish as the Pokemon was completely alone. He caught him, and brought the Pokemon home to take care of it. Though his efforts were successful, his efforts drained his energy and he quickly grew exhausted. He tried to cope with it through an old habit of tobacco. The various products made him feel better at first, but the old habit brought forth the return of an old threat. Weary of age and work with the Cubone, soon after the Pokemon was nursed back to health he was quickly approaching his end. Not long after Carol turned nine, her grandfather perished. The Cubone was once again sunk into depression, but the family didn't get rid of him and he eventually had a friendship with Carol's Pokemon, and eventually Carol herself. She accepted the Cubone and named him what she called her grandfather, Papa, because it was all that remained of him.

Her mother had developed a relationship with a businessman at the time, and soon after her father's death the man had to move to Hoenn for better trade opportunities. She was alone with her daughter Carol and had no adult companionship, so she decided to leave her home to relatives and move to the new region with him. She hoped Carol would enjoy life more and spend more time with her too, which worked... sort of. They moved to Slateport, and though Carol was upset at first she eventually got used to it. She spent very little time at home, and most of it exploring the local areas in and around Slateport, interested in the many different Pokemon she met. She finally began battling with her Pokemon instead of simply playing with them, and found that it bonded them even more than by simply playing with them.

Soon she had wandered into Route 103 where she found a Pokemon that really caught her eye- Mudkip. She would daily come to feed it, try and communicate with it, and befriend the Pokemon. It came for the food, but the Mudkip would usually ignore her and escape to the sea. It was the first time a Pokemon she really liked practically rejected her, and she was determined to catch it. Eventually she challenged the Mudkip who accepted, thinking he could easily prevail. Pewill had a huge advantage, and ended up easily dominating the mud fish. Carol tried to catch it but the Mudkip almost immediately broke free of the Pokeball, using his remaining strength to swim away. After a few days of absence, the Mudkip immediately emerged from the sea to challenge Carol when he noticed her. This time she used her Nina. Odds were more evened out, but Mudkip succumbed to the poison and was again defeated. Carol tried to catch him again, but after a few shakes the Mudkip escaped again, this time angry, and was missing for several days. After weeks passed, she began to think the Pokemon left or was avoiding her until a new Pokemon emerged from the sea. It was a Marshtomp, and it's similar appearance and personality led her to realize it was the same cute mud fish she had been trying to capture this whole time, and this time challenged him with Cubone. Even with the power it gained from evolution and type advantage, the match was close but the power of Bonemerang was able to defeat the Marshtomp. It began to think that if he let her catch him, he would become powerful enough to stand up to Pokemon he had type disadvantages with as well, and finally let Carol catch him. His nickname was Detrum.

Soon she reached the age of ten and failed to ever really have a relationship with who may become her stepfather or even her mother. Other children would frequently leave home to start their own journeys at this age and with little interest with what remained of her family she set off on her own despite her mother's wishes. Her team already had a head start, and she easily prevailed in the gyms of Hoenn. During the events, NidoranF evolved into Nidorina. After receiving the badge from Tate and Liza, she noticed she was able to communicate and understand her Pokemon more than she could before. After collecting the badges of Hoenn she returned home before challenging the Elite Four, and found that the relationship between Carol's mother and the businessman had soured. With no one else, her mother refused to let her leave again and forced her to move with her to a new land- this time Unova.

To find similar work to what Carol's mother had in Fuchsia, the pair moved to Driftveil. Out of the anger of being pulled away before attempting the elite four challenge she left her home again. She had no one to rely on but her Pokemon, and with them trounced this region's leaders as well. She first went south to challenge the southern gyms before heading to Nimbasa. After collecting the Trio badge there was an abnormally strong bond between all of them- the Pokemon seemed much more interested in working together through double battles. With her communication with them improved she began participating in single battles less in less and eventually would only do double or triple battles. She aged to eleven while battling Gym leaders, and Detrum evolved into Swampert.

The Elite Four weren't as easy as she expected, however. Her team was strong enough to defeat them, but her weakened team was defeated by Alder. This had taught her the value of healing items, and she has always carried a surplus of them even since. For little over a year she had practiced and found the real strengths of her Pokemon, strengthening more than just their power. She even evolved Pewill into a Lilligant, which learned new moves to find another use for Own Tempo. Re-challenging them at twelve she barely even used healing items except before fighting Alder. She had never returned to her mother throughout that. She never has.

She has taken things much slower in the next and latest four years of her life. As a child there could be nothing funner than these... adventures with Pokemon. By fourteen there was no leader or league left undefeated to her. As much as she had loved her relationships with her Pokemon they didn't change the fact that she had no real friendship or connection with another human being. It always really bugged her that she knew Papa, her Cubone, was strong enough to evolve but for some reason chose not to. Her connection with the other 3 were fine, but for some reason it was imperfect with this Pokemon. He wasn't very happy, and never seemed to try and communicate the problem with Carol.

Carol had basically abandoned her mother, so she couldn't bring herself to turn to her or even return home. She has traveled across the five main regions, and still she continues to wander. All she would like is human companionship. Her communication is well developed with Pokemon, but with people it is lacking, and unless she is buying something it is almost always a battle being organized. When she was younger battling was all she wanted to do with others, so she was unable to form friendships. Carol really regrets that.

Personality: Carol is lonely in a sense. Her Pokemon do keep her company, and she does love them a great deal, but it feels artificial to her in a way. It doesn't compensate for the lack of human connection. She has confidence with Pokemon, especially her own, when it comes with communicating with them, but she isn't quite sure how to deal with other people. This doesn't result in very good first impressions.

Appearance: Carol hasn't had a haircut in awhile, and so it is so long it almost reaches her knees. She actually likes it, and doesn't pay much attention to how uneven it can be. She doesn't like her bangs to go past here eyebrows, so she gets Nidorina to trim them if they do. She can go days without being in town, and can be quite dirty when encountering people outside them. She has greenish brown eyes and notably long eyelashes. At only about 5'2, she isn't very tall and is below a healthy weight, as she takes more interest in keeping her Pokemon healthy than herself.

Carol still dresses as she did when a young girl, she looks like a student still. Her shirt is white and slightly over-sized(not the same clothing from her youth, of course), red cuffs and collar with white lines in their centers. A moderately sized white bow connects the collar, but has no actual use. She has a skirt that goes a bit past her knees that is a brighter red than the shirt. She has a belt that matches the skirt's coloring. Though she has a cheap pair of sandals, she normal does not wear them.

Piercings: She has the desire of piercing her ears, but never has gotten around to it.

Pokemon Team:

Nickname: Pewill

Gender: Female

Species: Lilligant

Ability: Own Tempo

Personality: Pewill has never lost her playful personality, but the the more Pokemon joining Carol's team, the more her motherly nature has grown. She is the toughest and most admired amongst the party which usually keeps her confident.

Moveset: Petal Dance, Giga Drain, Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance


Nickname: Nina

Gender: Female

Species: Nidorina

Ability: Poison Point

Personality: Her playfulness was once endless and a stranger was a friend ready to made. At evolution that was lost, and Nina has become needlessly aggressive to anyone but Carol and the Pokemon in the party. When the party is alone though, her mood is excessively full of glee and she will spend a lot of time playing and communicating with Pewill.

Moveset: Venoshock, Sludge Bomb, Ice Beam, Toxic Spikes


Nickname: Papa

Gender: Male

Species: Cubone

Ability: Rock Head

Personality: Despite the company of Carol and the other Pokemon in the party, Cubone remains a sad and lonely Pokemon. Not only is it the Pokemon's nature but he has difficulty communicating with the others and in turn is paid very little attention to. His thoughts are mostly of his mother.

Moveset: Bonemerang, Double Edge, Brick Break, Leer


Nickname: Detrum

Gender: Male

Species: Swampert

Ability: Torrent

Personality: An incredibly determined and power hungry member of the party, Detrum enjoys fighting immensely, and he would only let Carol teach him ridiculously powerful attacks despite their drawbacks. He is very protective of Carol and the other Pokemon.

Moveset: Earthquake, Hydro Canon, Outrage, Hydro Pump

I know my history is way too damn long and I go in depth on what really doesn't matter, but I guess thats just the way I'm taking Carol. History: Alex was born to close friends of Pryce, the town's gym leader. He grew up, playing with other kids in the town (as you'd expect) and Pryce's pokemon. His family eventually moved, but went back every month or so and stayed for a week or two. He eventually started on his journey, visiting places rather than doing gym battles. He went and visited his friends who had moved to different regions. Some gym leaders knew him because of Pryce being quite fond of him. He left when he was 12 and came back when he was 15. He left again 3 years later and now just wanders from place to place, never staying for more than a month. He visits his home in Fuschia every 4 months. He has recently trying to win gym battles, not really for the competitions, but for something to show his friends. He has made quite a few friends over the years and has connections in most cities.

Personality: He is occasionally sarcastic and not overly serious about anything. He is usually calm and likes it being quiet. He is very defensive of his friends and can get quite angry.
He has OCD and if you see him staring at one spot and his hands are fidgeting, he wants to order something. He always has a rubiks cube in his pocket that he fiddles with from time to time to distract himself.
Very blunt because if he doesn't like you, you can see it in his face or he says it out loud.

Appearance: Alex's eyes are green and blue (left and right eyes) and his skin isn't too pale. His shirt is a black tank top with white jagged diagonal line that look like cuts in the fabric. His pants are also black with a blue and white outlined flame going up his right leg. He usually wears a black jacket with a faint scale pattern. It also has a white tribal pattern coming up the left arm, which finishes at mid-forearm. His shoes are (you expected it) black with blue and white pattern going round the entire shoe.
Alex's bag is mainly blue (what a change!) with a white tribal phoenix on it. His beanie, which he rarely wears is plain black.
