UPDATE: Be sure to mention which faction each character is in for distributing Rank EXP. If they aren't in a faction, just put "None" or something of the sort next to their name.

Post any completed RPs here for grading. When posting, be sure to post a link to the RP itself, a list of the players involved in the RP, links to their profiles or a list of Pokemon and their respective levels, and a brief summary of the RP.

Credit goes to Michael Weston and the rest of PANE's staff for allowing me to use the PANE scheme.

QUOTE
No matter what, everyone gets 2 levels, distributed between their Pokemon according to use, as long as they finish an RP. Of course, if they drop out, depending on where, they lose so many of these "free" levels. We need the free ones so that our new, inexperienced RPers still have incentive to RP and improve. An additional level is added for keeping a good amount of activity, for a total of 3 levels.

Next, we have 7 levels that are based on the skill of the RPer. So, these are based on quality of post. They're also divided up between the two Pokemon based on use. This means that our better RPers get more levels, which the should rightfully have.

Finally, 5 levels are awarded based on actual battling. So, basically, how much a Pokemon battles, and how well written the battles are. This is separate from quality of post. If someone battles with a Pokemon even once, they get 1 of these levels. The rest should be mod discretion.

So, this totals up to a possible 15 levels for an RPer. Only 10 can be awarded to one Pokemon though, giving incentive for RPers to catch more Pokemon to add to their teams.

For evolved pokemon:

All pokémon level on a one to one basis with the following exceptions:

Psuedo-Legendaries: These are the Dragons and other Mega Types that are strong and not legendary. You must have a mod's permission to catch one.

Dratini, Aron, Larvitar, Trapinch, Beldum, Bagon, Gible, Axew, Deino: No modifier.
Dragonair, Lairon, Pupitar, Vibrava, Metang, Shelgon, Gabite, Fraxure, Zweilous: .7 modifier
Dragonite, Aggron, Tyranitar, Flygon, Metagross, Salamence, Garchomp, Haxorus, Hydreigon: .5 modifier

Fossils: Due to their ancient status, they too level slower:
All tier one fossils level normally
All tier two fossils level at .5

Special Cases: Aerodactyl and Relicanth level at .7, since they have no evolutions.

We will try this for a time, and reconvene to change it if necessary.

Also notice that a Pokemon that could evolve but the PC chooses not to, it accrues the same level modifier as if you had evolved it. So, a level 30 Larvitar would take the .8 level modifier as if it were a Pupitar.

For faction ranks, your mission success/failure will be graded by the following:

Upon completing an RP, you are automatically awarded with 25 EXP towards improving in rank.

Mission Difficulty: 50 EXP is the most you can gain from this category. How much EXP you gain depends on how difficult the RP Mods found your mission to be. If you made things ridiculously challenged right off the bat, and completed it against the odds, you will lose marks, so try to keep things simple for your character in the beginning.

Mission Attempt: 50 EXP maximum applies to this category as well. How well was the mission written and RPed? Were there plenty of spelling errors? Did you face impossible odds and win, even though victory was impossible? These things are taken into account for grading how the mission itself was performed.

Improvisation: 50 EXP maximum applies to this category as well. If you "thought outside the box" while RPing a mission, points will be awarded. If you just went straight into a mission and didn't do anything really unique, then not many points can be awarded.
Reason for edit: Changing the level modifier to PANE's new one.

The Derelict Warehouse is now complete!

Participants:

Living Arrow: Ivy Kylarian
Umbrae Calamitas: Iris Sagira Smythe
Pumpkin King: Victor Bays
The Rose Crusader: Sabrina

Start Date: 31st March 2009
End Date: 16th April 2009
Length: 38 posts

Summary: Ivy Kylarian and Iris Sagira Smythe were tasked with the infiltration and surveilance of a derelict warehouse in the poor district. At the scene they encountered resistance from a Magma Recruit named Sabrina and an nameless Magma Grunt. A fierce battle ensued, resulting in the destruction of the warehouse. Sabrina evacuated the scene unharmed but Ivy and Sagira escaped with little more than their lives intact. It seems that a local boy, Victor Bays, wandering past at the time has been arrested for his supposed involvement in the debacle that took place at the warehouse and is now being held in Kyogre's Maw - his fate is yet unknown.

The Derelict Warehouse:
The RP was somewhat short, but it's plot was fairly interesting, I liked the nice twist on the simplistic warehouse raid mission. The overall post length was good, nothing short really. There were some very minor spelling errors, but they weren't blatantly noticeable and didn't interrupt the reading process with awkwardness. The plot seemed fairly simple at first, with the basic warehouse raid, but I did like the spin at the end that leaves it just begging for continuation. I'm definitely interested in this colourful cast of characters, and I'm quite eager for their next escapade.

Living Arrow:
Levels: 3 for completion, 2 for activity, 5 for skill, 4 for battling. Total is 14. Your posts had good length and were interesting to read. Overall awesome job, keep it up.

Rank EXP: 25 for completing the mission, 25 for mission difficulty, 50 for attempt, 35 for improvisation. Total is 140. The mission was a failure, which I was glad to see for a first RP. There wasn't much of an opposition, yet Sabrina was quite crafty at making things difficult for you guys.

Umbrae Calamitis:
Levels: 3 for completion, 2 for activity, 5 for skill, 4 for battling. Total is 14. Same with Living Arrow, your posts had good length and were quite frequent. I enjoyed reading your posts because of the way that your character's emotions were conveyed. Overall awesome job as well, keep it up.

Rank EXP: 25 EXP for completion, 25 for mission difficulty, 50 for attempt, 35 for improvisation. Total is 140. Same with Living Arrow, the failure was nice to see, and there wasn't much of an opposition. Both you and LA managed to think on your feet and work your way around Sabrina's ploys.

Pumpkin King:
Levels: 3 for completion, 2 for activity, 4 for skill, 2 for battling. Total is 11. Your character was a pompous wuss, which I enjoyed, but I was hoping to see him get into a bit of combat. Your posts were also a tad short compared to the other RPers, but they were still good. There isn't a heck of a lot that needs improvement, so awesome job, keep it up still applies.

Rank EXP: 0 EXP due to not being in a faction at the time of the RP.

The Rose Crusader:
Levels: 3 for completion, 1 for activity, 5 for skill, 5 for battling. Total is 14. Sabrina just plain creeped me out, which I enjoyed. I was kind of hoping to read more posts about her though, then again, I can understand how difficult it could have been to make more posts since she was waiting for the opposition to show up. I liked the clever usage of traps, as well as Spinarak's clever perspective of the situation. Like the others, awesome job, keep it up.

Rank EXP: 25 for completion, 35 for difficulty, 40 for attempt, 40 for improvisation. Total is 140. I liked the aspect of Sabrina keeping in-touch with her superiors over the comm link, which seems like a very "Magma" thing to do. Your posts were long, but I was hoping for a couple more since I liked the antagonistic point of view in this RP. The use of traps was very clever.

Final thoughts: Overall, I enjoyed reading this RP. The colourful cast of characters, the spin on the basic mission-type, and the opening for continuation all made it fun to read. This was my first RP to grade, and after doing so it made me more interested in this story arc that you've got going. Keep up the excellent work!

Temimesdik Birger:
Overall, I liked the plot of this RP. Definitely not something I would have expected in Uprising. Also, it was nice to see several brave souls go through an RP without being in a faction right away.

Michael Weston:
15 levels. Good posts, good activity. Battles worked out well. Nothing all that bad here.

165 Mission EXP. I loved the complexity of Seymour's mission, involving gathering these RPers and whatnot to battle. The mission idea itself was something that I wouldn't have thought of occurring in Uprising, but it worked awfully well.

Hungry Hungry Houndoom:
15 levels. Good posts, good activity as well. Quite the amount of battles, which were good. Nothing all that bad here as well.

0 Mission EXP. No faction until the very end of the RP.

Blue Giratina:
12 levels. Small amount of activity. Quite a few battles, although rather quick ones. I would have liked to see a bit more activity and description of battles, but other than that, job well done.

0 Mission EXP. No faction at the time of the RP.

Pedotonberry:
12 levels. Some short posts here and there, but some lengthy and good ones though. Not as much combat as the other RPers though. Other than the lack of deep combat, job well done.

0 Mission EXP. No faction at the time of the RP.

Just a quick little update: I apologize for the inconvenience, but I had to change Pumpkin King's Rank EXP during The Derelict Warehouse since I was informed that he wasn't in a faction at the time of the RP. I changed it, and again, I apologize.

Also, from now on when asking for RP Grading, please specify which faction each character is in to prevent confusion. pinch.gif I'm adding a bit about this to the main post of the Grading topic.

Recon is complete!

Participants:

Umbrae Calamitas: Iris Sagira Smythe
Hungry Hungry Houndoom: Jay Lange

Start Date: 24th April 2009
End Date: 3rd May 2009
Length: 38 posts

Summary: Iris Sagira Smythe, alias ShadowCat, was assigned new recruit Jay Lange as her partner in the mission to infiltrate a small Magma base located within an abandoned warehouse. They were to rescue a captive Vulpix, trained by Aqua, and retrieve the disk of information that she (the Vulpix) had been tasked to deliver to Aqua, when she was captured. After entering the base, Jay and Sagira are attacked by Ezira, a fierce member of Magma with a link to Sagira's past, along with a number of Magma grunts. Though not without sustaining injuries and reopening old wounds, the two escape, with the Vulpix and disk in their possession. When they return to Sagira's base, however, things seem suspicious, and Sagira's CO gives off a distinct air of distrust. After Jay thwarts his attempts to get Sagira alone, the CO names them both traitors to Aqua, forcing them to run from the base, now convicts on the run. And this is where our story ends.

RECON
I already knew you two would be wonderful RPers when I first heard that you were going to work together, and I was right.
I was expecting a little more than the usual RP from you, and you guys returned that notion ten-fold.
This was one of the best two-person RPs that I have ever read; you both should be very proud of this accomplishment.

If anyone feels I was wrong in the grading of this RP, do not hesitate to PM me. It's my first time grading an RP, so mistakes like that would be acceptable.

Great job you two, I'm excited to see further development of your character's stories! wink.gif

The mission started off well and the team caught many Pokemon but when Ivy captured her own Buizel, it was confiscated. Then, when Ivy and Victor were commaned to dispose of all the Magikarp that they had caught, some of the fish Pokemon evolved into Gyarados and a fierce battle began. As soon as the battle had begun, Elites and Officer Crichton appeared to quell the voracious uprising and end the mission. It has now been confirmed that Ivy and Victor shall be put onto the same team for their next missions.

((Sorry I couldn't get this one done sooner.))
Operation 'Aqua Jet'
Yay for another RP from one of my favourite rag-tag teams! I was itching to read an RP involving a bit more depth in a faction, and I was well entertained. Again, it was a fairly quick RP, but a good one at that.

Living Arrow:
15 levels out of a possible 15. Nothing bad here, a few minor typos though.

165 Mission EXP out of a possible 175. The premise of the topic was simple, but the spin put on it at the end made things get interesting. Although, it was a little bit abrupt. Other than that, it was pretty interesting.I loved seeing a larger scale of Team Aqua operatives.

Pumpkin King:
15 levels out of a possible 15. Same thing applies. Some minor typos were present. I enjoyed seeing your character finally getting to see some action though.

165 Mission EXP out of a possible 175. Again, the same deal. Both of you had good activity within the mission, and didn't make things get over the top. Neither of you managed to wrangle those Gyarados with your bare hands, or something else impossible like that. Overall it was good.

Good job guys! As usual, I'm eager to check out the next chapter of your adventures. happy.gif

On the Lam is complete!

Participants:

Hungry Hungry Houndoom as Jay Lange
Umbrae Calamitas as Iris Sagira Smythe
Living Arrow as Ivy Kylarian
Pumpkin King as Victor Bays

Start Date: 11th May 2009
End Date: 8th June 2009
Length: 53 Posts

Summary: Two sides of a coin, this RP is roughly divided in two by stories running in parallel. On one side, Jay and Sagira are on the run, trying to obtain evidence that will clear their names and show up Elitte II Dawson as the real corrupt member of Team Aqua. Meanwhile, Ivy and Victor (along with many other members of Aqua) have been tasked with locating and apprehending the two "traitors".
Successfully infiltrating an Aqua outpost, Lange and Smythe get the evidence they've been looking for but upon leaving the building they are confronted by Kylarian and Bays who have finally caught up to them. Will Jay and Sagira clear their names? Will Ivy and Victor complete their mission? Will Hinata and Paladin get it on? Find out in the next chapter: 'Revelations'!

((Again, sorry I couldn't get this one sooner. I've been dealing with a multitude of personal issues lately.))

On the Lam
I really enjoyed this RP, especially the parallel stories aspect. The entire RP was very well-written, which had pretty much become the staple of this group. I doubt the grades need to be explained in all that much depth on this one.

Hungry Hungry Houndoom:
15 levels.
No EXP due to lack of a faction. You would have gained the same thing that PK and LA gained.

Umbrae Calamitas:
15 levels.
No EXP due to lack of a faction. Same thing applies.

Living Arrow :
15 levels.
170 Mission EXP. The mission was pretty complicated, especially since the stories ran parallel to eachother, hence the high grade.

Pumpkin King:
15 levels.
170 Mission EXP. Same thing applies.

Also, someone PM me and correct me if I did get the factions thing wrong. I never read Recon, so I had to check with what TRC wrote.

Revelations is complete!

Participants:

Umbrae Calamitas: Iris Sagira Smythe
Hungry Hungry Houndoom: Jay Lange
Pumpkin King: Victor Bays
Living Arrow: Ivy Kylarian

Start Date: 8th June 2009
End Date: 22nd June 2009
Length: 39 posts

Summary: Revelations begins where On the Lam ended, with Sagira and Jay running into Ivy and Victor as they leave the warehouse with information on Elite II Dawson. No one is sure who is on whose side, and a scuffle breaks out, with Ivy believing that Jay is an enemy who has somehow kept control of Sagira. When they manage to finally come to a moment of peace, the group is interrupted again when they are attacked by a bunch of Aqua members, having heard the commotion. It is during this battle that Jay is wounded by one of the Aqua members while protecting Ivy. Retiring to the storage facility where Doctor Robinson and her son, Danny, live, they all have to spend a series of weeks there while Jay recovers. During this time, they get in contact with Jay's Commanding Officer and make plans to meet him and turn over the information on Dawson. Dawson is arrested and imprisoned, charged with a series of felonies. The RP ends when Jay's CO, Bryce, receives a call about the elite's escape, clearly revealing that he may still be a threat in the future.

Revelations
Revelations was a great segment of your group's story arc that has been going on for the past several RPs. Tons of action, tons of violence, tons of suspense. Definitely was an exciting read for me.

Umbrae Calamitas:
15 levels. Not much really needs to be explained here. Good posts overall, and good activity.
175 Mission EXP. The mission spanned several RPs in a smooth manner, so I thought that it deserved nothing less than a perfect grade.

Hungry Hungry Houndoom:
15 levels. Same thing applies. Good posts, good activity, etc.
175 Mission EXP. See Umbrae's Mission EXP for the explanation.

Pumpkin King:
14 levels. Due to the lack of activity, you lost a grade, but as you said, you were busy so I don't blame you for being inactive.
175 Mission EXP. See Umbrae's Mission EXP for the explanation.

Living Arrow :
15 levels. Same thing as everyone else. Your posts were also good, and you posted pretty often.
175 Mission EXP. See Umbrae's Mission EXP for the explanation.

Again, lemme know if I messed up somewhere along the grading process, especially for EXP.

Pumpkin King: Victor Bays
Vincent Lance: Vincent Lance

Start Date: 12th July 2009
End Date: 23rd July 2009
Length: 35 posts

Summary: Victor is left alone at Kyogre's Maw without his usual partner and without a roommate. Everything changes when a new recruit by the name of Vincent moves into Victor's sleeping quarters. Victor gives the recruit an orientation, telling him a bit too much information about himself, and ends up being assigned to a mission with Vincent as well. Unhappy with the way things turned out, Victor does nothing on Operation: Aquavolve, in which they must collect a minimum of twenty water stones. Victor has his partner do all the work while he gets a tan. However, when getting ready to leave, Victor encounters a wild Kangaskhan with his bag in its pouch. Victor manages to retrieve the bag, but the mother feels threatened and attacks. While in battle, Victor's Pokemon distrurb a Combee hive and Vincent deals with the angry Vespiquen. The two run away from the battles but run into the angry mothers once again. Victor cleverly switches the babies of the Pokemon and they attack each other. As Vincent and Victor make their way back to the Maw, they meet Officer Stanford, who did not appear when they most needed help. Victor ignores the officer, changes and goes into town with Vincent where they catch a meal. On the way back, they discover that Stanford had captured the mother Kangaskhan and Vespiquen, leaving the children to die. Victor soothes the baby Kangaskhan that was left to die and keeps it, naming her Titanna. Meanwhile, Stanford does his research and sees past Victor's disguise, discovering that Lv. II Grunt "Vitalis Lagos" is in fact Victor Bays, son of benefactor and businessman Xavier Bays.

Jay Lange: Mission: To enjoy his Birthday for the first time since he was ten.
Sub-Goal: To show Sagira, his partner, a good time. To receive a kiss from said partner, and even, Arceus willing, to enter into a relationship with said partner.
Result: Technically, the mission was a failure. From ruined dinner to movies cut short, nothing went right. However, all goals were met.

Iris Sagira Smythe: Mission: Despite misgivings, to enjoy her night.
Sub-Goal: ... "I want to enjoy my night... quit messing around!"
Result: Success. Despite one hiccup (she did not know her partner, Jay Lange, was celebrating his birthday and this upset her), she enjoyed the night thoroughly. She also got to kiss Jay without killing him, a considerable bonus.

Ivy Kylerian: Mission: Twofold. To help Jay Lange receive "the Big Sniffs" from friend and dominate Sagira Smythe, and to ensure Sagira Smythe enjoys her evening.
Sub-Goal: Well, it'd be nice if she got some biscuits...
Result: An unmitigated disaster. No one cooperated, and taking matters into her own hands did not seem to be appreciated. Ended the night in Office Crichton's office. Unknown to her, the end result is a success. Big Sniffs were passed all around (at least, as this clerk understands the phrase ^^; )

Lugia Hype

Operation Aquavolve has been claimed for grading, so expect results sometime soon.

Winding Down
To briefly sum things up, I enjoyed this RP quite a bit. It had numerous funny moments (Family Guy references, and my god Ivy is a nutcase), surprises, and of course, a bit of action.

Hungry Hungry Houndoom:
15 levels. Good post quality, frequent activity, and even though the battle was quick, it was well-done.
0 Mission EXP since this was performed off-duty.

Umbrae Calamitas:
15 levels. Same thing applies basically. Good posts and the same level of activity.
0 Mission EXP since this was performed off-duty.

Living Arrow :
14 levels. Ivy didn't do much in terms of regular Pokemon battles, but she did get her fair share of combat. Other than the very slight lack of battling, everything was good.
0 Mission EXP since this was performed off-duty.

Phew. Done. As usual, let me know if there's anything wrong with the Mission EXP, since I've messed it up a bit in the past. unsure.gif

Operation: Aquavolve
General Comments: This RP was a bunch of fun and then some! I really liked the twist it took with the different mother Pokemon and the level of humour and action involved kept me interested the whole way through. Pretty basic mission though - search and retrieve - but appropriate for a new recruit like Vincent. Remember though - permission is needed for captures and let us know an evolution is taking place so we don't start panicking and checking if levels are right like headless chickens! Didn't quite the activity quota, but everything else was groovy.

Pumpkin King:
I'm operating outside the limits of friendly bias! Honest! Loved your funny Victor moments and loved how he kept in character the whole way. I am really looking forward to his "defining" moment where he puts everything on the line for someone else or one of his Pokemon. (He can't be a priss forever, right? RIGHT!?)

Levels:
Participation - 3
Skill - 5
Activity - 1
Battling - 5
Total: 14

155 Mission EXP - it might have been complete but you had to radio for help (hence the docked exp).

Vincent Lance:
Watch out for the length of your posts. Some were really short and I felt like you could have done more. Even so, I liked your itneraction and thought your battling was more than decent.

Levels:
Participation - 3
Skill - 3
Activity - 1
Battling - 5
Total: 12

155 Mission EXP. Same as above.

Summary:
Rebellion members from the First People's Rebellion were kidnapped, but after a recent happening, a rebellion agent manages to find out where they were taken so long ago. This agent is required to find talented civillians to retrieve a few of these hostages and learn what the FPR members know.
The agent creates a group of talented civillians and sends them on their way to retrieve the MIA.
Their first stop is to get to the base, located on the other side of town, and it comes to a conclusion that a Magma vehicle would be the best means of transportation. But soon after the vehicle is taken, an accident leaves the group at a loss of what to do and one member unconscious. The group moves on, keeping a weary eye on the unconscious teammate. They soon find a secret Aqua cave that leads straight to the Aqua boatyard. A battle ensues when two Aqua Grunts come in conflict, but they are soon defeated and used to the groups advantage. The unconscious member shows no sign of recovery and, with regret, the team abandons the mission to take him to the hospital.
