QUOTE(PrincessTikal @ Mar 3 2010, 05:13 PM) *
Okay...one more question popped into my head. XD Sorry.
How would you describe the power "Death"? I mean having something like "death's touch" would be too overpowering with just touching someone and they die...could it be described as dark energy or how do you see it as?

Just adding my thoughts.

If it were me, I'd get real creative and have the character turn into a ghost, fighting people as a crazy ghost oh.gif. The catch: the character would technically be dead; he/she would have to leave his/her lifeless body behind. Someone would have to make sure the body isn't decapitated or otherwise ruined. If that happens, then the ghost can't return to the living.

I think it'd be cool. grin.gif

It's okay, I don't mind answering questions, I just hope I'm able to answer them clearly!
I'll explain life and death magic, just to clear the both of them up because they are two of the more obscure magics.

Life magic is used primarily for healing; it's not so powerful that it can bring someone back from the dead, and the level and effectiveness of the healing depends on the strength and health of the user at the time, as well as their experience with the magic.

Death magic is pretty much the opposite, dealing with curses and poisons of the mind; it's not powerful enough to kill someone on the spot, but again depending on the strength and experience of its user, it could put a curse on an individual that may eventually kill said individual.

EDIT: just saw what you said there, 2gamers... I like that idea actually, and I really do want you guys to run rampant with your own ideas in this RP which is why I left so much unsaid. If you've got a unique way of using the brand of magic you've chosen, by all means use it! I don't have a problem with it at all.

I'm reserving Pink and White, if that's acceptable. I still have a little ways to go on one and haven't even started the other, only reason I'm doing this.

Mm, I should probably add some of my drawings to this. Make it pretty again.

That's perfectly fine. I also believe that means White is no longer available as a crystal colour for people signing up in the future.

On the note of my previous reservations, I'm relinquishing my reservation on the Green crystal, I don't need it any longer.

Name: Enorai Carri (car-EE; roll your tongue on the r)
Nickname(s): Rai, Twirlylocks, Carrie (like carry)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Race: Half-elf
Magic: Fire
Crystal Colour: Pink
Appearance: Enorai is often thought to be a young girl more often than a young woman. Being barely 5 feet tall, people have no reason not to assume this.
Her slightly curled hair is a deep amber-brown that falls just past her shoulders, and a few to her slightly pointed ears. To keep this hair from falling in her face, she keeps it back in a ponytail with one lock hanging in her eye. That single lock infuriates her to no end, but lets it stay.
Her eyes are a light color, arguably blue or purple, depending on who you are. They are wide and curious, adding more to the young girl look. Enorai's eyes do nothing but betray her true emotions, no matter how much she tries to hide it.
She has a slim structure that is not to be underestimated. She packs plenty in a punch. She has slim, talented fingers that can work quickly and accurately when needed.
Her face is thin and slightly angular, due to her heritage. All of her face features look like a cross between a human and elf: her slightly pointed ears, her slanted eyes.
Enorai usually wears dark brown pants that fight tightly around her legs and comes down to about her ankles. She also wears an over-sized off-white long-sleeved shirt that she keeps tied back. This means the shirt is no longer too large and shows her stomach, she is not self-concious in any way, however. The sleeves come down to the middle of her forearm and somehow fit her arms snugly, as does the collar. She wears a dull green vest that fits over this shirt. The vest has three buttons on it, but there are no holes for all of them to fit on the opposite side; there is only room for the middle one. She wears a brown belt a bit lighter than her pants. It is lopsided on her, but she has found ways to make this to her liking.
She often wears a well-crafted bow and quiver on her back. The quiver has exactly thirteen arrows, and she makes sure to count them carefully when she needs to.The bow and arrows are made of light weight metal, though she isn't exactly sure what kind, so she can engulf them with her fire with out destroying them. Enorai also keeps two daggers with her, on one each side of her belt. One hilt is a steel blue, the other a rusted red.
Personality: Enorai is a very quiet, very thoughtful girl. Her being quiet isn't because she is shy or doesn't know how to speak; it's mainly because she either doesn't know how to say something without somehow insulting someone, their thoughts, or their ways or she doesn't wish to speak at all. She has had plenty time to think while she was living on her own, and with no one to talk to, got out of the habit of speaking to others freely. Enorai is also very protective of those she deems younger or weaker than she. She has been this way ever since the death of her little sister.
Enorai enjoys puzzles and things that work her mind and body. She will listen to stories, but not tell them herself. She also enjoys the nature as it was before, but not as it is now. While she may not talk, that does not mean she doesn't have many ideas. Given any situtation, Enorai can usually think of a few possible solutions, but is rarely willing to share.
She has dislikes, as does any other creature, and those dislikes include large crowds, talking, and seeing others in pain. She is an empath, a person able to feel general feelings, though not on command.
Biography: Enorai lived in an elven city deep in the forests, away from humans. Her mother had been with a human, but when her father found out, Enorai's father was killed. Her mother, Leona, went into shock and left the town. She soon met the man who would father Caibree, the man Enorai would call Father. He was also an elf, therefore Caibree was pure elf, and believed her older sister was too. Caibree was younger than Enorai by three years.
Leona kept her daughters far away from humans in fear that if they ever fell for one, they would end up as heart-broken as she was. Zaroc, Caibree's father, knows that Enorai is half-human, but doesn't know what happened to her father.
As a young child, Enorai was very bubbly and happy, her eyes always glittering. She learned that she controlled fire at age 5, when she accidentally lit her first bow on fire. She has been into archery since age 5, she got her first bow and arrows for her birthday, and has been using daggers since age 8. When Zaroc first took her hunting at age 7, it saw it was obvious that she was a natural, even without using her magic. She soon brought in the meat on special occasions for the whole city with Zaroc.
As Enorari got older, her bubbly personality became somewhat subdued; she wanted to keep her distance from people so her empathy, which she has had from birth, wouldn't overwhelm her and make her emotions become so out of hand that her fire went haywire. She spent most of her time hunting, doing puzzles and spending time with Caibree.
On her 16th birthday, she was walking with Caibree when her sister told her to wait where she was, and ran off. Soon Enorai heard a scream. Caibree's scream. She turned around and went to find her sister dead with a large, bloody scratch across her chest. Enorai knelt by her side, sobbing, when she noticed a crystal in Caibree's hand. She knew it wasn't there when Caibree left, so it must of been Enorai's birthday present. She could feel whatever was remaining of Caibree's feelings: piercing fright and joy that she had found the perfect gift for her sister. Pink had always been Caibree's favorite color, and would forever remind Enorai of her. However, the crystal soon vanished into thin air.
Enorai didn't return home that day. Instead, she began living in the forest, hunting and sleeping. She saw many people get lost in the forest, often younger or weaker than her, and remembering her sister's death, protected them until they were found or she lead them out. She soon got out of the habit of talking freely because she was rarely around people.
When the darkness began to spread, Caibree's present reappeared, by Enorai's feet when she woke up. Seeing everything turn to stone, she grabbed the crystal and jumped out of the tree, running to her old home, as the darkness seemed to be coming from there. When she returned home, all she saw was ruins and people frozen in their daily activities.
Enorai screamed, for what reason she is still unsure, and began looking for answers. All of them.

Character #1...I'm going to post a 2nd character soon. happy.gif

Name: Rori Archer
Nickname(s): Archer, thief
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Race: Human-Elf Hybrid
Magic: Earth
Crystal Colour: Red
Appearance: He has messy, brown hair that goes down to his eyes in spiky bangs. He has impish brown eyes that always seem to glint with a little mischief and a cocky smile. His pointy ears protrude a little bit out from underneath his hair. He wears loose pants and ragged yet expensive-looking leather coat. Underneath that is a sleeveless navy blue shirt with the elf village symbol in the middle--a red spiral triskelion. He wears a pair of tabi...the usual footwear worn in the elf village he grew up in. Around his neck he wears a dark purple--almost black--scarf which he occasionally uses as a mask to pull up over his nose and mouth. His whole apparel gives off an earthy tone to them.

Rori also has well developed muscles from training...covered in numerous scars from previous battles. His face wasn't spared either...one little scar up his right check starting a little bit off from his chin is there too. He doesn't mind them though. He thinks it gives him a look of bravery and experience which always works out with the ladies when--or if--they gush over him. he also has a well developed tan from his travels...some of his skin's darker color was inherited from his dad.

His talwar is worn horizontally on his back, attached right to his belt in its holster. The red crystal he found is embedded into its hilt.

Personality: Rori is known to be cocky and overconfident. He often boasts to other people, especially the ladies, and can be a bit of a show-off too. Because of his confidence, he is also arrogant at times and thinks highly of himself. His cocky attitude often gets him in bad situations and thinks he can handle more than he can really take. He also likes to take things lightheartedly and often likes to joke in bad situations if he knows he'll come out on top in the end.

He's a bit of a flirt as well, but only if the girl is beautiful or cute. Ugly women...forget about them. He would even go out of his way to impress one and appear as their knight in shining armor. After winning their hearts, he usually takes off to another town to do the same with another girl and completely forgets about the last girl. Yeah, he's a womanizer. Sometimes his attempts work out well and others they slap him and leave. But of course without insulting him.

Rori likes to explore, steal, or anything that brings some thrill to his life. He's independent and is even a loner with his positive and friendly attitude. He doesn't make that many close attachments. He usually likes to keep to himself. The only person that he is close to is his aunt and mentor, Kukra.

Because of his lifestyle, he has street-smarts and knows how to get out of bad situations even though he often gets into them. He's had a lot of practice. Sometimes he rushes into things without thinking things through but when the time comes that he really needs to, he'll be able to think of something clever with a bit of thought.

He occasionally boasts about being a hybrid but only in certain times where it doesn't matter to him. Otherwise he keeps quiet about it because the ladies think lowly of him if he mentions it.

His weaknesses are magic and long distance. He prefers an up close and physical fights compared to long distance and magic fights. His only recent discover of his Earth powers helps a little but he's still new to them and his magic can sometimes be unpredictable. His strengths are close quarter combat, his agility, and physical battles. He's great at scaling cliffs or buildings and is known for his parkour. Rori is also left-handed which might help him in sword fights against an opponent who isn't used to fighting left-handed people.

Biography: Rori was born from a human father (Rhoald) and elf mother (Chareen) and raised in the city. Both his parents were discriminated against by both species and Rori was sneered at for being a hybrid. Neither group accepted him and he never made any friends. They would ignore, mock, humiliate, and even hurt him. Because of his childhood he became a loner as well as a very independent child. Even though looking like any old human or elf, he had a large reputation around the city and everyone knew him for what he was.

After turning 12, a riot broke out between a small group of humans and elves. His parents got caught up in the fight and were beaten to death. Rori was now by himself with no known relatives he could go to. No one would adopt him into their family because of his hybrid race. He lived in his parents' house for awhile before he ran out of money and was kicked out for not paying the taxes. His old home was then put on the market to be sold.

Rori was now a kid of the streets. He had to support himself. With very little money and places to go, he usually slept outside and ate the leftovers people left at restaurants before being shooed out. Even with this new lifestyle, Rori kept a positive attitude. He would often steal food from markets and articles of clothing if he could. If he needed money he would do the odd job here or there in case he ever needed the money. With trial-and-error as well as a little bit of practice, in a good 2 years, he became skilled in parkour. He was agile and fast...and he needed these traits to escape if he was caught stealing something. Rori often likes to jump across rooftops and was great at climbing.

At the age of 14, a sister of his mother's found him. Kukra asked him if he would like to leave the city and go live with her out in the forest with other friendly elves. He agreed and the two lived together in a small village with other elves. The village elves were mostly friendly to him...even when knowing he was half-human. There were still a few conflicts here and there though.

As Kukra watched Rori grow, she knew that he would need to learn how to defend himself. He knew how to run, but not how to fight. Over the year, Rori had been developing strong muscles from the rigorous chores she would give him. He was also the strongest of the group of boys his age...the other elf boys were more graceful and swift than powerful. Instead of choosing a more graceful, lightweight weapon like a Bow or Rapier, she decided that she would teach him sword-fighting. Rori was a quick learner. After vigorous training with Kukra, he became skilled in the art of sword-fighting. For his 17th birthday, Kukra gave him her father's old sword. It was a long and narrow scimitar...a talwar. Rori took it gratefully and it became his signature weapon.

At 18, he decided to leave the house and live on his own. He basically adopted his old lifestyle...he missed the freedom. Stealing, running, adventure...it was all a wonderful thrill. He stole what he could and sold anything valuable for more money. He never had a permanent home...his home was usually the pub or hotel he stayed at for the night. It was all great fun.

At 21, during a life endangering situation, he discovered that he had some magical abilities. Whether they came from his scimitar or some other article of clothing on him, he didn't know. He had been cornered by some men in a mountain pass. Right when they charged at him, the rocky earth beneath his feet began to rise and brought him to the top of the cliff to his escape. Ever since then he's been trying to manipulate the earth though he's rather bad at it and sometimes it doesn't work.

Over the years living in his free live style, traveling from town to town, he decided to head back to the elf village to pay Kukra a visit. On his way over her house, he came across a red crystal in his path. He decided that the crystal would be his good luck charm and took it with him. Before stopping at Kukra's house, he visited the town blacksmith to embed the crystal in the hilt of his talwar to surprise Kukra with.

As he headed towards her house, a darkness seemed to travel through the forest. He ignored it and entered Kukra's home. As he announced his arrival, he found Kukra frozen in place in a chair. Her eyes were open and unblinking and she was as hard as rock. Rori ran outside to call for help, but he found that the other villagers were exactly the same. The lush forest around them had become twisted and dead and the animals were howling madly. Rori had no idea what to make of all of this. He soon headed out of town to find out what happened to everything and if the whole world had turned like this.

Xion and PrincessTikal, your characters are both accepted. I see there's a lot of hybrids surfacing as of late... happy.gif

Okay, technically I'm not supposed to be on the Internet today, but I'm starting up the actual thread now. I know we're expecting two more characters but I feel we've put off the beginning long enough and I don't think there'll be much trouble with the new characters catching up.

A small note about the crystals, before we begin: They all act as a kind of compass if you let them lie in the flat of your palm for a few moments. It doesn't matter if it's embedded into jewellery or weapons, it still works. It will rise up a few centimetres and the sharper end of it will point either in the direction of another crystal, or once all (most in this case) of the crystals are gathered in roughly the same area, they will point towards the Palace of Liquid Shadows, which is far to the north. This is how we will find our way to each other and to our final destination.

And now character #2! another orphan! surprise, surprise! aren't i original? awesome.gif

@2gamers: I chose this character to have Death magic. Still thinking of what kind of powers I could use, but I love your ghost idea and if I could use it with Alice, I would happily do so with your permission~

Name: Alice Faust
Nickname(s): Ali
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Race: Demon
Magic: Death
Crystal Colour: Black

Appearance: A picture of Alice...she is originally a Zelda OC so this is how she basically looks like. Ignore the beak nose, bird legs, and arm wings and pretend she has bat wings on her back instead.

She's a demon of normal height and weight. But even so, she's thin and straight...not very curvy. She also she has a slightly small breast-size and making fun of her for it will get her flustered and angry. Her hair is a shade of redish-brown that goes a few inches past her shoulders. She has long bangs that over most of her face but is parted to the side so she can see. A large chunk of this hair is covering her scarred eye that she doesn't want anyone to see. She has red eyes that look slightly mellow and she tries to keep a kind smile on her face. Her skin is rather pale-looking but isn't too head-turning. Pointed ears protrude out from under her hair and stick out. She also has a large pair of bat wings on her back that she uses to fly. Her hands are almost claw-like and she can use her sharp nails as effective weapons.

She wears a long, buttoned brown coat that almost goes to her knees. The ends of the coat are highlighted in tan. At the top it's unbuttoned a little, allowing view of a white shirt underneath. A little but above her waist, she wears a buckled belt to hold onto her bag as well as using it as an attempt to look a little bit more curvy. Under her coat she wears a pair of short and tight black pants with a secret dagger strapped to her right leg. Around her neck she wears a striped scarf in red and pink. The bottom of the scarf is in tatters with rips and holes here and there from getting caught on things. On her head she wears a pair of goggles that she uses when she flies.

She wears a pair of brown arm gauntlets and tall brown boots. On her neck she wears her black crystal as a simple necklace. Around her waist she wears her mailbag that she uses to carry supplies after IT happened. Its designed in red and white colors with a simple look to it.

Personality: She's very optimistic and tries to see some good in any situation. She loves to help other people out because she feels useful and tries to cheer people up when they're down. She can be a bit of a ditz sometimes and she's definitely enthusiastic. She may not look it, but she can be a bit of a tomboy, but usually when around other guys her age since she can relate to/understand them well after she hung around them for most of her childhood. She's also a bit of a klutz, always getting her scarf snagged on things (especially in the wrong situations). She's also very accepting towards other people (her missing eye made her like that), and is very open-minded and can easily accept new ideas. But when people mention her eye, she gets a bit sensitive. At times when she's angered or frustrated she almost acts childish. Her slight stubbornness doesn't help either.

As a child, her mischievous side was punished--and sometimes spanked--out of her to make her a good lil demon. Unlike other demons, she's much more reformed and sometimes is even afraid to break the law. But with everything like it is now after IT happened...who knows? Maybe she'll revert a little back to her mischievous side.

She loves to sit in trees, thinks small children are absolutely adorable, and loves small animals. But seeing how things are now, it's a shame that all the animals have gone wild. Flying is her favorite thing to do and always like to say that she's will be/is going on an adventure even when it's not that impressive. She hates rain and thunder especially...it frightens her as well as makes flying difficult. She hates bad and mean people like anyone would...she also hates to be bored with nothing to do. She also likes to meditate to relax herself.

Alice isn't a very skilled fighter...she just never really got into any battles. She does have her dagger and claws though...she tries to use them effectively. Her gauntlets can be used for blocking attacks. She also is sensitive to magic....she becomes sick when exposed to too much magic...even after she uses her own powers, she gets nausea. Because of it, she avoids using her magic whenever possible. She also gets bad headaches when the weather goes bad and is one of the reasons why she hates rain and thunder.

Because of only having one eye, she has problems with depth perception. She's skilled at flying...but sometimes she has those accidents where she'll fly into something or walk into something. Or even grab at something and completely miss. But years of having this handicap has made her used to it and she's able to get by with only a few problems here and there.

Biography: Alice born from two demon parents. When she was barely 2, her parents were killed by a few elf warriors in defense. Her parents were hostile and were known for killing any passerby for the fun of it. After killing a few of their own, a community of neighboring elves finally took care of the parents. They found Alice in her parents' home, alone. Some of the others suggested killing her but one of the elves convinced the others to take her home and raise her. The elf, Egil, suggested they try and raise her as one of their own and see if demons are able to redeem themselves to the path of goodness. He was lucky enough to have the others agree. He eagerly brought Alice home to his wife, Nokore, to share the news that they would be taking in Alice as their own. Nokore was overjoyed; she was unable to bare a child yet she could finally be a mother! They decided to name the demon child "Alice" and raise her as their own.

Over the years, the village grudgingly accepted her. She wasn't that drastically different from the elves anyway; she had pointy ears and all, just that she had a large pair of bat wings on her back. As she aged, she seemed to be quite the troublemaker like expected of her species. In fear of it getting any worse, Egil and Nokore made sure to punish her every time she did something bad or mischievous to get that natural instinct out of her. If they weren't careful, the elders would definitely find something wrong or threatening with Alice and kill her. They were constantly keeping their eyes on her. The younger generation was luckily more accepting and she made lots of playmates who awed at her wings.

At 5 she taught herself to fly against her parents' wishes. They later accepted it seeing how the village elders weren't giving her too many bad glances. She used her wings whenever possible; she loved them. Flying up high in the trees was her favorite. She just loved to sit high up in the treetops. Whenever she had time she decided to spend it flying.

During her childhood, her parents told Alice that she was an elf just like everyone else but just a little more "special". Alice ate their story up and believed them for most of her childhood. Her parents just wanted to protect her from her past and what monsters her real parents were.

When she was about 7, she was attacked by another demon, loosing her right eye in the process. Luckily one nearby elf warrior warded it off. While she recovered, she had to adjust to life having bad depth perception. After Alice's accident, most of the other girls her age tended to avoid her. So instead she played with the boys of her village, causing trouble, roughhousing, and going on their own little adventures. She grew out her bangs on the right side of her face to cover the ugly scarring of her right eye. If anyone mentioned it she would become sensitive and defensive and would rather not talk about it. Most people who don't know her very well won't even know that she was missing one.

For one of her birthdays, her father gave her her "lucky" scarf, which she is barely seen without. While exploring with her friends, her scarf would constantly get snagged or caught on things, creating tears and holes. Alice's scarf is her most prized possession.

At 13, she got into a fight with one of the boys her age named Cohen. In the process, she scratched him across the face with her sharp, claw-like nails. It cut pretty deep but luckily missed his eye. Cohen was scarred from it but later got over his anger towards her. The village elders frowned upon her once again, warning to her parents if something worse happened she would be kicked out.

At 14, Alice had finally popped the question about herself and her past. She had already kind of known; the other elves her age told her the truth which they got from their own parents. She believed them though. It made perfect sense. But now she wanted to confirm the story with Egil and Nokore. They hesitantly confirmed it and told her the story of her real parents. And that the village elders have been watching her. Alice accepted the story from them, already knowing some of it already. It just troubled her that her real parents were such horrible people and that they killed some of her peers' parents. She vowed that she would never become like them.

Later that year she got a job at the post office and became a village messenger. She would deliver messages, mail, and packages to the townspeople. It was a fun job seeing how she could put her wings into use; she could fly over the houses and buildings rather than walk through the maze of streets.

At 17, most of her guy friends had left the village to make a name for themselves. Even her best friend Cohen, the boy that she scarred, left. Alice didn't want to stick around and take on the regular duties of a woman! She asked her father if she too could leave the village. Egil sighed and with a smile, agreed. He gave her a pair of goggles to set off on to protect her eyes---or eye.

Alice promptly left after that...Nokore first making sure that she took some sort of form of defense...a dagger. Alice took it and strapped it to her leg under her long, dress-like coat. Adventure to new lands wasn't as fun and exciting as she thought it would be...there would be hard nights in the rain and cold weather. She would also have to deal with thieves and looters. But she was too stubborn to come back home, defeated. She found a job in a large city as another mailman and lived life decently.

One day in her mailbox she found a black crystal. She didn't know who it was from. She figured that it was put in the wrong mailbox. But her demonic nature kicked in a little right then and there...she decided to keep it. If it was put in her mailbox, it surely was meant for her, right? She made a necklace out of it and has it tucked underneath her scarf and coat.

She was a mailman for 2 years before IT happened. After she collected her stash of mail for delivery and entered the main office, she noticed that everyone was frozen. Even her boss stood frozen in place where he was yelling at another employee. And not too far away from the front entrance, her old friend Cohen who she hadn't seen in years.

Furious with the sudden timing of this strange occurrence she left the city, her job, and her best friend. But of course without taking the crystal and her old dagger as well. Maybe she could finally go on that adventure she had been craving and promising she would go on and find out what exactly has been going on here.

Enorai and Evvie might be good buds. Just saying wink.gif.

Perhaps. I think Enorai is going to be extremely protective of Evvie. For various reasons (I think the main reason is going to be Evvie will remind Enorai so much of Caibree.)

@ Tikal: Go ahead and use it. As she gets used to those powers, I suspect she'll get better at possessing people and may be able to take a friend with her for some double team action wink.gif.

@ Xion: This will be complicated by Evvie's power and the requirement to go up to scary beasts. :P

Name: Naxery Silerpawe (nah-ax-ER-EE)
Nickname(s): Nax, Axey, Naxer, Silver, Silverpaw
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Race: Elf, with a trace of demon blood
Magic: Water
Crystal Colour: White
Appearance: Naxery is about 5'7", with a gymnast figure. Her arms and legs are long, as are her fingers. They hold plenty of strength within their slim shape. Naxery is easily noticed by her bluish-white hair and blue eyes with a slightly darker purple in the middle where her pupils are supposed to be. No one knows why she has these 'defects' have affected Naxery and no one else in her family, but it is thought that 'defects' that are thought to give her a very slender figure. Naxery ofter keeps her layered hair, that comes down to the middle of her back, in a ponytail the best she can. Her nails are normally short, but she can extend them to become larger and come to a sharp point.
Naxery wears black pants that go to down to right above her ankles, there is a dark belt attached to it with various loops and pockets. Her shirt is light brown with a V cut and sleeves that just cover her shoulders on the right side, and comes down farther on the left side, passing her wrist barely. It is looser from the elbow down. There are darker brown strings forming X's on both sides starting from below her chest to the bottom of the shirt, where they disappear. Nine times out of ten, you will find that she wears a light white tank top under this shirt and has a black glove that doesn't even cover her first knuckle on her right hand. This glove has a white rim on the wrist side and a silver on the fingers. There is a strange emblem printed in gray in the middle of the glove. Her shoes are a dark brown that start a little before her pants end, and are very simple, the only notable thing about them are they have strings that tighten or loosen them.
She has only two weapons to note: A sword and a staff (scepter, wand, whatever you wish to call it.) The sword is of average length - if she lets the tip barely touch the ground and places her hand on top of the hilt, the very top comes to the middle of her stomach - and her hand width, when her fingers are together, wide. The blade is silver and hilt gold with a red stone in the center. The scepter is about as tall as the sword, and has a hooked end. It is a dark blue with intricate lighter blue designs on it. In the center of the hook is the crystal, suspended by magic. Her sword is kept on her left hip, her scepter on her right.
Personality: Naxery is an easily approachable person, seeming bubbly and happy-go-lucky. As you get to know her, you soon see that it's a mask to cover her true, killing side.
Naxery tries very hard to be the bubbly, happy person she has read about in stories, though this is always conflicted with her instinct to kill. She is rather intelligent and doesn't know how to sit still, but her logic can be a bit messed up at times. She tries her hardest to keep calm, as that is the easiest time to keep her killing instinct under control, and often warns people not to piss her off, for she loses all control then. In a battle, she attacks blindly, killing anyone that happens to get in her way.
She likes nothing more than seeing things in pain or dead. Talking is also one of her favorite things, and listens just as well. While she dislikes birth, revival, and anything of the sort, she will rejoice if it is expected of her.
Biography: Naxery's mother is one-fourth demon, all else elf and her father is a pure elf. She was the middle of six, and everyone else in her family is of large build and blonde or brown hair, but when she was born, her parents got rid of her, as her eyes had no pupils and hair was nearly white. One of the elders, Kalell, took her in; it lived in a tree in the middle of the woods. Kalell soon realized what Naxery was part demon when she brought home a dead squirrel at the age of 5.
It gave Naxery plenty of things to keep her entertained and taught her about herself so she wouldn't hurt others unintentionally. She found gymnastics was a very entertaining thing and, with Kalell's permission, began to do it everyday, along with practicing her water magic. Naxery was isolated from everyone, except Kalell, for thirteen years, right up to Kalell's death.
Naxery was debating with Kalell one day, something they had done since she was eight, when Naxery became oversensitive and lashed out at Kalell, her nails extending. She caught Kalell in the neck and across the chest. The old elf died either of shock or loss of blood. Realizing what she had done, and secretly enjoying seeing the look of pain on the face, Naxery grabbed the old sword from Kalell's room, the scepter she had gotten for her twelfth birthday, and Kalell's glove right off of its hand. She took what she thought was one last look at her first and last true home, and left.
Naxery soon made a hard, but better than nothing, life in the town her parents' lived in. Her eldest brother, Gezera, was the mayor at the time. After a bit of questioning, he confirmed that Naxery was, in fact, the younger sister that his parents' had spoke of, and vowed to help her. He taught her how to properly fight with a sword and hired a water mage to teach her how to use her magic to it's greatest ability.
At nineteen, on Gezera's twenty-fifth birthday, Naxery was talking with someone the person made the comment "Are you blind?". Being the first time she had been asked this, and thinking her eyes looked the same as everyone else's, she became enraged and killed the person. Her brother watched the whole thing and, after a very short trial, sentenced his sister to death. Naxery struggled to stay calm, for she didn't want to kill this family like the last, and fled the city, living in her old home. There, she resumed her gymnastics, debating with herself, magic training, and ability with the sword. She continuously got better, but longed for other companionship.
One day, around twentieth birthday, she found a pile of books at her doorstep. Wondering who could've known she lived here, she accepted the gift. Relieved that she knew how to read - one of the fundmentals that Kalell had taught her - exploring the books became a new hobby. Every month or so, she would find two new books outside her door. These books helped with her longing for companions.
The day the darkness began to spread, Naxery was doing some practice fighting, attacking and dodging the nonexsistent foes, when she saw a white gleam in the hole of the tree. She went to see what it was, and found the oddest crystal. She reached for it, pausing briefly to look around to see if anyone was around to claim it. She regretted it. There was darkness coming from what seemed all around her, and it was advancing at a breathtaking pace. Out of instinct, Naxery grabbed the crystal, brought close to her chest, and closed her eyes. After a few minutes, she tentively opened her eyes to find that she hadn't been affected by this darkness. Instantly realizing that it must of been the crystal that saved her, she suspended it in the hook of her scepter, forever keeping it in her possession.
She soon embarked on her journey, hoping to find people unaffected by this darkness and the reason behind it.

Naxery is one of the hardest characters for me. . . Her personality in particular. Yes, Kalell is an it.

If it's not too late~ ?

Name: Eganwo Legallow
Nickname(s): Lil' Spike, Egan.
Age: 16
Gender: Is an 'it', but seems to be male... ish.
Race: Earth Imp.
Magic: Earth~
Crystal Colour: Bronze

Appearance: A rather short being, standing at just over five foot but bulky enough to weigh about 150 pounds. Egan has a very stocky build, with thick muscular arms and a proud muscly chest to go, as well as powerful-looking legs. It's hide appears thick and leathery, a very dark brown (almost black) in colour. Along it's fore-arms it has thin green spikes of various sizes that all point back towards it's elbows, they keep very close to it's skin however and it could easily hide them in baggy sleeves. It's head is hairless, with a pair of small black eyes squinting out in a constant peer, topped with a wicked grin that is forever plastered on it's face giving it a malicious look. Two dark-green fang-like teeth jut up from each corner of it's mouth, the rest of it's teeth are a shade of green so dark they are almost black as well as being sharp and jagged - they don't seem to match up too well. It's head is hairless, but it has three small horns that look identical to the two fangs in it's mouth -- these horns are placed one at the front of it's head, just above it's forhead and two equally placed at the back of it's head on either side.

Egan tries to disguise itself from being recognised as an imp, preferring to pass by un-noticed if possible. As such, it usually hides itself in a large dark brown trenchcoat - the sleeves baggy enough to mask it's armspikes. It wears a tight-fitting black cloth shirt, with a belt tied around it's waist and a pair of rugged leather trousers on it's legs. Hidden under these are three-inch stilts that it balances perfectly on with it's round-shaped feet, the other end of the stilts slotting into a pair of thick knee-high dark brown boots. To hide it's horns it wears a simple dark-brown hat with a wide brim and a black mask over the lower half of it's face.

Personality: Egan is not easily trusting of people. It was brought up it's whole life to distrust everyone and everything, and it has yet to find anything it can place trust in. As a result of this, it has also come to develop the belief that other people and things should be used to their fullest and then abandoned -- otherwise they would only cause greif. It is a very stubborn and non-talkative creature that will do as it pleases, it's main goal is survival but it enjoys occasionally annoying people -- especially high-and-mighty types, or people who seem grouchy and bad tempered.

Biography: Having hatched from an egg-like capsule buried deep in the mud, Egan was forced to defeat it's siblings in a fight to the death in a bid for survival. Having been the sole victor of the hatching process, it was free to escape from the marshlands where it had 'hatched' and make it's own way in the world.

Living by itself for it's first few years after hatching (it had already spent three years under the ground, growing tough enough to survive in the wild) it survived by eating anything it could find - be it plantlife or other life. On rare occasions, a lost traveller would stray into it's path and end up either as a meal or running away from it in fear -- but from this is began to learn of life in the cities. At around ten years old it had already gone through most of it's growth, donning a mixture of clothes it had collected from the various travellers it had encountered it set off to explore this city life.

Living a low-profile life in a nearby fairly small city, it began to pick up on the languages used by the local people. As it continued to stalk around, it witnessed the way the people worked -- and picked up simple life skills that it witnessed, such as pickpocketing, stealing from market stalls and basic brawling skills. Over the next six years of it's life it perfected these skills, improving it's skills at speaking the language, sneaking around, blending in, light-fingered antics and ultimately how to survive.

One day as it made it's way around the city, it accidentally stepped in the way of a young human that was running from something. The human cursed loudly as it stumbled back, something shiny dropped from the pack it was carrying before it continued running -- shortly followed by a group of law enforcement officers, apparently the human had just robbed some form of jewelery stall. Looking down at the shining thing that had dropped, Egan picked up a curious shining bronze crystal that it quickly pocketed. Perhaps it would come in handy at some point, regardless he liked the way it sparkled.

Egan continued on it's way as if nothing happened... but a few days later, everything changed.

Waking up one morning in a dark back-alley, the kind of place Egan loved to sleep in, everything seemed different. It was a lot darker, and a thin mist seemed to hang in the air. As Egan left it's beloved alleyway it noticed that everything was still... -too- still. The people had stopped moving, they were petrified to stone. Confused by what was going on but determined not to let it affect him, Egan set off in a bid to fix whatever had befallen the city -- unaware that it had affected the world. After all, what terror could one inflict on a statue of a noble?

Read the Rules?: altaria.gif ... Earth hates Air. ._.

I edited Evvie's magic entry to include a list of capabilities:

QUOTE
Magic: Nature. With this power, Evvie is able to tame the dark creatures roaming the land. These creatures can then turn their aggression towards her enemies. She can temprarily bring plants to their former glory, allowing Evvie to gather fruits, vegtables, etc. Finally, Evvie's touch also calm her fellow teammates, whether they're really angry, incredibly sorrow, or just plain down.

"The only technology allowed to be owned is a form of transport known as a 'hoverboard', which is powered by Energy magic."

Does that mean that the Energy peeps will be able to create hoverboards? 'Cause Arrynn's magic is Energy.

Well, technically anyone could have the skills to create a hoverboard, but only those with Energy magic would be able to power them.
