Here is how hard I thought the gym leaders were in g/s/c.
1st: easy 2nd:easy 3rd:moderate 4th:very difficult 5th:moderate 6th:difficult 7th:moderate 8th:moderate. I dunno, Morty is hard to beat. Especially since there aren't many dark types to take down that Gengar.I guess an Umbreon if you tried hard enough. Jasmine was hard because her obnoxious steelix. -------------------- A huuuuge fan of Gwanom from the Zelda CDI series. |

Falkner - Easy-Medium, Mud Slap could get annoying.
Bugsy - Easy, since I had Quilava and Spearow. Whitney - Probably the only reason I beat her was because of that Machop I got from that one guy at the Department Store. Morty - Kadabra owned him. Jasmine - Steelix was tough to take down. Probably the hardest gym battle. Chuck - Kadabra. Pryce - Kadabra and Typhlosion. Claire - Again, Kadabra. Kanto was all Kadabra, too. Except for Sabrina, where I used Fearow. -------------------- |

Falkner-easy
Bugsy-easy Whitney-most of the time is easy but can get annoying if Miltank doesn't fall fast. Morty-easy, I usually have a Graveller with Magnitude. If I don't then I just use Quilava's Flame Wheel. Chuck-easy Jasmine-easy Pryce-easy Claire-medium only because of her few weaknesses and I am usually under leveled at this point (but only at this point) -------------------- |

It's difficult to rank them due to the fact you can only beat them once.
In terms of Ruby, the first and last are the hardest. -------------------- |

2 people hate 4 one thought 4 was easy. 2-2 now. You guys probably didn't have Kadabra or Graveler, if you did then it'd be a walk in the park. No, even easier than that. Much easier. -------------------- |

Thinking back on all the play-throughs I've done, Whitney is the only one I can think of who consistently posed as a challenge..
The others varied from game to game, depending on the team; but noone else could really came close to matching the level of frustration you'd feel as that Miltank just rolled over everything... again and again. -------------------- |

At the time when I played the Second Generation, I found it fun to just constantly battle wild pokemon(now fourth gen I get my little brother to do that), So my pokemon were usually over-leveled.
Because of that I found all gym leaders pretty easy. -------------------- |

1. Easy unless started with Chikorita.
2. Easy 3. Hard, but easy when you know what Rollout does. 4. Pain, my shadowball weilding Eevee and Typhlosion took Gengar down. 5. Absolute pain if you use Typhlosion DX 6. Easy enough. 7. Piloswine is easy, if it was a Mamoswine then O_o 8. Typhlosion*Hard* Feraligatr-Easy enough. Meganium *Hard* Feraligatr resists both the ice beam/blizzard dragonairs and the surfing Kingdra -------------------- |

People found the Gym Leaders besides Whitney and maybe Bugsy hard? This is news to me. Oh well:
Falkner - As he is the first Gym Leader it is expected for him to be easy and he is. Nothing more to it than that. Bugsy - Overall this is a very easy battle especially if you chose Cyndaquil. However, if you let his Scyther use Fury Cutter too much you may be screwed. Whitney - What the hell! Her frickin' Miltank is just... grah! Morty - Not too difficult but Gengar's Shadow Ball can be very dangerous. Jasmine - I would say Jasmine is moderately difficult. Fire types can take her down pretty easily, but if lack that then you may be in for a hard time. Chuck - Flying types. That is all. Pryce - Again it's another easy battle. I had no trouble here whatsoever even when if lacked a Fire type. Claire - You get a cave full of Ice Pokémon to use and even a NeverMeltIce in there and Feraligatr can resist many attacks used by her Pokémon. -------------------- |

Falkner: Almost Too easy, espically if your like me and trained your first few pokemon untill they evolve.
Bugsy: If you take the scyther down fast enough its pretty straight forward. Whitney: Do I really even need to say it...I mean really who hasn't? Morty: I never found Morty hard, I guess I was just lucky. Chuck: Polywrath was the hardest part and even after that it was pretty easy. Jasmine: I never really cared about the weakness of steel back then but she never seemed too hard. That steelix is what would get me and even then I would have a stronger pokemon to fight it. Pryce: That mamoswine would beat the life out of me, I have never been a good fire-type trainer. Claire: The two times I played gold I had a Feraligator who would just tear her apart. Usually I had a dragon type myself or some resistant type. -------------------- |

I replayed the game starting with Chikorita,
1st Middle 2nd Fricken skyther and his fury cutter middle 3rd Easy as heck 4th Once again easy 5th Hard I had no fire types only things that were not very effective but my togetics metranome was pretty usefull 6th Easy, I didn't even need his weakness 7th easy... I beat his pokemon with my meganuim O.O 8th *hugs jynx* without her I would be stuck on the dragonairs but her ice punch killed them in 1 hit, so my jynx makes claire easier then whitney. -------------------- |

1st: easy, but at that point i had a croconaw
2nd: easy with zubat 3rd: i was pretty overlevelled so i found her easy 4th: any pokemon with bite makes this fight easy 5th: magmar fire punch'd her in no time at all 6th: crobat destroyed his pokemon 7th: raikou's spark and magmar's fire punch gg 8th: moderate/hard if you don't have ice types/attacks gsc was just an easy generation i always found jasmine difficult as a kid though because i only used feraligatr... and i didn't give it surf u_u; -------------------- |

1. Easy, unless I started with Chikorita, then it can be a pain.
2. Easy 3. THAT MILTANK NEEDS TO FALL IN A HOLE. >:| 4. Easy-Medium; depends on which starter I picked, and what my team is (if I picked Totodile, and I can easily defeat it with Bite. Other than that, it all depends.) 5. Easy-Medium ; medium because there are times when I have been lazy with training, and so I was a bit underleveled. 6. Easy-Medium. Honestly depends on what Pokemon I have, as per usual. 7. Duuur.. I think he's always been easy. Except for maybe on my Crystal. Depends on what I had then. 8. Easyish. - Depends on what Pokemon I have, and if I have lacked in training my pokemon or not. XD;; -------------------- |

I only really struggled with Whitney, and her darned Miltank, and Claire's Kingdra because I had no type advantages.

Falkner: Easy
Bugsy: Fairly easy except for Fury Cutter Whitney: Oh gawd... the Miltank from hell. The fact I had a machop and the fact that the Machop was female was the only reason I ever got out of there Morty: Relatively easy after stocking up on awakenings and having backup plans for Curse. The fact I had plenty of Pokemon that knew either Bite, Pursuit, or Dig helped too. This is why I respect Rattata/Raticate as the little guy knew two moves I could really hurt Morty with. Chuck: Easy Jasmine: Easy, actually. Geodude and Cyndaquil and a Water type Pryce: Annoying but fairly easy Claire: Somewhat hard if you didn't have an ice or dragon type that is well trained.
